ok, im stoned right now, but this is my honest opinions man, i think you should take heed

i've never been in trouble for weed really (got stopped on a college campus by a DUI patrol car (i was a little drunk and very high, not a good idea to drive) but he let me go (christmas eve)). however, through my life experiences of being in trouble with people of authority, including school, parents etc... i think your best bet is to just wait for that week. you should clearly not give your dealer's name, that will live with you until that guy kills you in like 7 years out of nowhere. you could either tell your parents that you smoke sometimes (if its not a huge deal), or you could tell them it was your friends, or you could just not tell them and hope the cop doesnt even call. personally i dont think he will. is he going to sit down at a desk and call your parents because he caught you with A GRAM of weed? he doesnt give a baker's fuck, what does he want them to do, spank you? for all he knows you hate your parents and dont do a word they say anyway. also, hes not going to charge you with anything because he didnt on the spot.

id just chill, telling your parents is your call, but dont rat your dealer out. i think you'll be cool. close call, just dont drive around with shit until your 18.

also, in your story you say that you "made eye contact" or whatever with the cop. does made eye contact = looking at, laughing, freaking out, pointing toward and eventually squealing your tires switching lanes and speeding up" or does it = making eye contact with. i'll know if you're lying, im high as shit

You can go to juvie for having a gram, but I have been all thru the legal system, get a lawyer, tell your parents what happened, and fight it, cops either need probable cause, a warrant, or if your being arrested for something they can search thats it. Cops try to fucks with younger people cuz they think they dont know the law. My cousin was arrested this week for 5 accounts of first degree burglary and safecracking etc... But since they illegally intterogated him without a parent or lawyer even though he asked and hes only 16 we are going to probally get his confessions thrown out.Fight the law with the law. Sorry for any missspelling, I'm drunk and having a hard time writing this post.

all i know is, if u do end up snitching, then i wont feel sorry for u when u get your ass whooped. anyways, if he just went ahead and searched your car without asking for permission, then u can use that against him and get the case dropped(he most likely wont even show up to court). Which brings me to another point, didn't he even give u a ticket for it or anything?? cuz if not, then it might be too late for him to do anything to u, which means your probably free and nothing will happen to u now.

What happened to the gear ? where is it now ? most ceased drugs are put under a destruction order surely a copper can't simply sit on potential evidence no matter how small

This sound like a typical Virginia scare you straight, then fuck you in the ass case. Don't snitch, it wouldn't do you any good, plus they'll charge you anyway. If anything, say you bought it from the city, you went down to the Berry Farms and bought it from some black guy. I doubt it'll help change their minds if they're going to charge you or not, but at least it's a plausable explanation without snitching. Don't listen to the police, the courts decide your fate. I doubt you are going to juvy as long as you keep your nose clean.

if you were going to go to juvie, they would of took you right there. and once again, don't snitch. it wasn't the dealers fault you got caught, it was yours. don't drag ppl into it that you don't need to. or anyone at that. just say what you did and that is it.

Thank You Skink. Thats exactly what I said. No one else seems to notice that the cop was only bullshitting him because he is young. I have had that done to me a couple of times. If the cop didn't arrest him at the spot than i'm pretty sure he didn't report that stop. If he didn't report the stop what happened to the bud?

1. If you LET him search you car and stuff, this was a completely legal search. The officer cannot get in any trouble. If you told him NOT to search you and he searched you anyway, THIS IS ILLEGAL, and all evidence he finds cannot be used in court...and its pretty hard for you to get charged with possesion without any evidence you possessed anything.

2. Why didn't you just tell him you bought it off someone on the street?

3. Don't rat out your dealer, he will get in ALOT more trouble than you will ever get in for possession.

4. The cops would have a VERY (borderline impossible) time getting you into juvie for having 1.5 grams of bud. Especially if this is your first offense.

Whenever I'm in this situation I just say "Black guy in a Honda Accord who chills at McDonalds". So you can either do that or give the name of some tool you don't like. Never rat out your friend though.

I dont know about many other states but from what I learned and hear, In wisconsin If a cop wants to search your vehical when he pulls you over he isnt going to need probable cause. When It all comes down to it probable cause can be the officer saying he smelt something and then search. Its his word against yours fighting in court and guess what you were busted when he searched you with possession so you are guilty in the courts eyes. Ive been with friends and we were not high and a cop pulled us over for a broken light. Nothing insight, No smell, and no one has records. The fuckin pigs pulled us out not telling us why and 'decided' to search the car finding 1 GRAM on the floor. I forgot to add I hate fuckin pigs. Donut eating porky the pig white and blue Ill pull a gun on you I got lil sirens to play with cause Im a fuckn super hero saving the comunity and when I go home at night I smoke highschoolers weed I confensated and so I eat more donuts 10-4 I cant fit out my driver side door My canine unit is looking at my chunk like its lunch.

thats abuse of power and unreasonable search and seizure. also he cannot call ur house a week after. u have to be charged for the crime on the spot since in a week there will be know certified evidence that it was even your weed that he took.

bottom line is he was just trying to scare u. and next time a cop wants to search you shit just politely say "I'm sorry officer, but I don't consent to any searches"

If you are pulled over by a cop, you can deny them the right to search in your car however they will get a warrent to search your car very quickly. Cops are very tricky like that. If you don't rat out your dealer, that worst that you're looking at is maybe 6 months or so of probation and some fines. If you were caught with a little over a gram it's simply a misdemeanor. Nothing major's going to happen. Unless you have a huge record or something. It's not that bad. Same thing happened to me and a friend of mine. Cop pulled us over for swerving, asked us if we had any drugs, we said no, he searched and found a couple grams of dro, my buddy got 6 months probation and thats it. Also the charges were dropped from possession to use. So yeah, you're good as gold. There is NO chance of juvie. Believe me.

Cops can search and sieze any car they want....I know beacuse it happened to my best friend in the 80's. In Jersey. Stripped that shit down completely. Maybe the law is different elses where but I doubt it.

And by the way why did you make eye contact, than go faster when he was behind you. You should have just played it cool, been there done that. If that fuck thinks you got something, they can search....

And definetely don't rat on your friend. You gotta deal with it, but that shit sounds strange to. What can do a week later?

yeah man, I'm from VA too, and it sucks. My friend got raped for having marijuana RESIDUE in a small plastic baggie, along with a couple tiny pieces of weed, along with some paint cans and a piece.

as far as I know, the police have the right to search you or your belongings on a whim, as well as pull you over, if they can prove suspicion of mischief, which is nearly impossible to NOT prove, really. He can see you sweat after a two hour run and search you for suspicion of mischief, which I think is so fucked up it's not even funny, but that's what I heard from a cop I know. Maybe he's wrong, and I hope so, and maybe that's just chesterfield...

You can go to jail for ANY amount of marijuana. there is no "Less than a gram" rule or anything..
