Birdie sends her love to you all. She's been moved up to a regular room now, which is good news, and is breathing better and has better color and cardiac output. Her mom made her her favorite meal, which we took to her tonight in hopes that she'll eat better and gain some weight. She'll probably be dismissed on Monday afternoon or evening if all continues to go well. We can't manage to get her connected from the hospital using her school laptop or I swear she'd be online here this very minute. Trying to get her to rest and take it easy is not an easy thing to do. I tried to give her a re-cap of the goings-on here but probably didn't do a very good job. Thanks for all the good wishes, guys. Goodnight for now.
Phew, good to hear shes doing better. I've been worrying all yesterday!
But the most important thing is she works on getting better!
We're all thinking of her and cant wait untill shes fighting fit!
Thankyou VERY much for the updates Dave.
Let birdgirl know we all send our love and wish her the best of health.
All my love, LIP [Alex.]

It's true I'm not very good with technology like PCs and laptops. I'm better with medical matters.Quote:

The hospital food is not very good.
Bird's been up and walking a good bit today and working hard at talking her doctor into releasing her to go home, but he wasn't buying that. No earlier than Monday afternoon, he said. She says hello to everyone here.
well I hope you take the time to help yourself recover birdgirl. If you spend even half the time on yourself that you do for others you willl be fine. Not trying to sound negative, but damn watch the fatty foods...meatloaf gravy fried chicken... take it easy girl.
We're working hard at intentionally fattening her up with those foods. Bird's far too thin right now and has naturally very low, safe cholesterol levels. In her case, her heart function's at far more risk from her being too thin than it is from eating those foods. They're a key part of the plan to get some more meat on those bones of hers.Quote:

Your hunch was excellent. I tell 99% of heart patients to stay away from stuff like that. The ones with coronary artery disease, that is. In Bird's case, she has the clearest coronary arteries in the country but has electrical/rhythm-related problems that are aggravated by the fact that her weight's too low.
Out of curiosity Dave, will you be sticking around now? Or is this just to let us now how Bird is doing?
Hope you and your wife keep well.
For some odd reason I can't send right now with my e-mail so tell Birdgirl that I woke to -17 degree this morning with a -35 wind chill. Glad to hear she's on the mend and getting sassy.....
Have a good one!
Send my good wishes today,,,

Best wishes on a speedy recovery:D
I'm having fried chicken too -in birdgirl's honor tonight:D
Sorry to all the peeps that think skim milk and bran flakes is the way to go... I believe fat lubricates the blood and prevents blockage...
Some fats do exactly that.
Not the ones we're fixing to take Birdie for dinner, though. I'm printing out this thread and a coupel of others to show her. She's been sleeping more than usual today and running some fever. Keep your fingers crossed that she'll keep feeling better, folks.
Get well soon Birdie,,,we miss you guidance...
NO SHIT! It's -13 right now and the high temp for tomarrow is suppose to be -9!Quote:

I'm home, y'all. Never been so glad to be out of anyplace in my life and to see my dogs. Thank you for all your kind words and good wishes. I loved this thread when Dave brought me prints of it. There's so much that's been happening here. New forums, even. I feel like I've been gone a year instead of the better part of a week.
I may be on for shorter periods of time for the next week or two. I got some inflammation/infection in two of my heart valves, which didn't help my arrhythmia I already had. They let me go home to try and keep me from getting an antibiotic-resistant bug of some kind in the hospital. But I'm tired, tired and will be taking medicine to fight the infection for two months. Much love to you guys. More later after I've slept a while.
glad to see you back!!!!:S5: :S5: :rastasmoke:
just keep takin it easy and get a bunch of good sleep!!
WELCOME BACK! just as you've never been so glad to be out of a place, i've never been so glad to see someone post on a forum!Quote:

Thanks, Slip. I missed you and Skink and Plant something terrible. And everyone else, too, obviously. But I thought about you guys a lot and wondered how you were.
OK, my dad's yelling at me to come eat and rest. P4B's already been pestering me about that via PM. I'd better listen to the men in my life. LAter, y'all.
good luck with getting over with the rest of your "sickness"(not sure what to call it) and get plenty of rest... and eat a bunch of food(it sounds like they are trying to fattin you up a bit?) eating befor sleeping... is a good way to gain weight... because, you get a bunch of calories, that you dont burn off in your sleep...
yes you do :p go rest and get better... when i was read a certain email, i kinda got that sick in the pit of your stomach feeling.. ya know? i did my classic stay quiet and hold it in thing (bleh, i wish i didn't sometimes, but that's me, and how i deal with things) i actually was geniunely worried....
but of course everyone worries about their mother :p even if it's just their forum-mom... lol..
i'll be sure you're the first thing that comes outta my mouth when the wife's home.... i'm sure she's been just as worried and will be relieved to hear you're at home...
Welcome Home BG.....I would give you a big Bear hug......
Hope you are feeling better, and You better quit scaring us like this...LOL
Thanks for all the updates Dave.
We all could only wish to be such a great team as you guys.
Let me know if you need my pecan Pie Recipe....yummy
haven't you posted it before? >.< my two favorite pies are pecan and pumpkin... i could choose neither to be the top tho... they're both so damned good in their own way...Quote:

Welcome Back= :lovestruck:
sorry guys, I'm just now hearing about this. I'm glad to hear that you are back home now though, Birdgirl, and I will continue to keep you in my thoughts and prayers. You're a great member and a great person who has brought a lot of joy to this community.
Hi again, y'all. Didn't mean to scare you guys. I think Dave was more frightened than he let on, and he sees folks with heart stuff all day long. Maybe just because it was me. Thanks for the bear hug, Bong. I missed you!
If you read this, Dave, I lov eyou honey. Thanks for checking my email and updating the people here. Thanks for taking good care of me and not trying to talk Dr. D into keeping me there even longer. I'm so happy to be home. I was truly afraid if I stayed gone one more day you'd either get rid of the dogs or try and trade in my car. Sounds like you'd be a welcome regular member here, so give it some thought.
Well, I've had a nap, supper, dessert, a shower, a breathing treatment, and a few huffs of oxygen. What an exciting night. Now I'm going to check some of these forums and see what I missed.
I was just heading that way now to put in my vote on the feminine hygiene products and to see what everyone has to say about makeup. I love the idea of that new forum! Thanks for the warm welcome.Quote:

One dog is under the comforter and the other animals are on top. I'm up for a while. I'll go to bed when Dave does in another hour and a half or so. I may go lie on the couch for a while, though. At least it's animal-free.
