Hey chrissy here is a pic of my room its really tiny it only as about 2 1/2 ft. height and about a little less then 2 ft width and about 1 1/2 foot depth. It's accually under a t.v dinner table and my computer is on top of it with a sheet covering the sides so no one can see inside xD great hiding spot but not good for ventilation.. I have a window next to it though i can run some tubes through it or something.
I have an idea if it isin a corner like I think it is. OK bear with me. The back wall of your grow box(which I assume is facing the corner leaving a triangle of empty space behind it) Take that back wall off and put the fan right in the corner. It will suck the air down the empty space and direct it into the box. The only thing is that you will have light shooting up out of the corner. It should help a little. It would help more if you could open the side coming out towards the room, even a 4" hole would allow for the air to flow out a little better. The only othe tip I can give yu is that light can't bent so if you get your hands on some flexible dryer tubing and bend it 90 degrees light will not escape but air can travel through, but it does restrict airflow. I gotta update my log though I'll pop in later.
Ok I got a new 23w cfl light bulb from my girlfriend xD she's cool... But umm.. I put the bulb in and now the room is much cooler and its really bright :) Anyways here are some pictures.
Try and grab another one and your plants will thank you for it. Make sure that fan isn't blowing too too hard on those little plants.

Congradulations on your very first upgrade. Don't stop at one bulb, throw as many of those suckers in there as you can. Try aiming your fan up so it blows the air above the plants. that will keep the air moving and that's really all you need.
alright cool.. thanks guys. I have another bulb but it was from my fish tank and its a long one and its 10watts -.- does it matter though? lol its just extra light. I need to get another lamp thing. =\ I'll try

I got update pictures for today. Both plants started growing 4 more leaves.. And plant 1's leaves that were curled are starting to go away :) Here are some pictures.

HAHA here's the story.. Ok, I was growing before this and my mom found my plants and threw them away and then today she went and bought a plant (pic below) and said.. "Want to grow something? Grow this.)

The dark cycle is very inportant to palnts. Respiration(this is when plants are making energy from sugar to oxygen) Continues in dark but at a much slower pace, almost independent of available oxygen because the leaves are not making oxygen in the dark.
In the dark there is a shift from leaf production to root production as the leaves transfer excess energy down to the branches and roots. Therefore, some dark time allows for better root structures. The "Experimental Root Growth 10 Days After Cutting" graph on page 33 shows that giving plants a 24-hour light cycle is not the way to supercharge growth"

"Light period for cuttings
PLants have a free running internal bio-rhythm of 21-27 hours. In this rhythm, they need dark time. Cuttings have a built in daily rhythm that they inherit from their parent. Cuttings will root better with a 6 hours to 8 hourdark period because this is the main time when leaves and the stems transfer energy down to the root zone for storage and growth."
The chart has hours of light per day on the bottom, and length of roots in millimeters.
-@ 4hours of light the roots after ten days were only 22mm long
-@ 8 hours of light after 10 days the roots were 25 mm long
-@12 hours of light we shoot up to 40mm long
-@16 hours it peaks at 50mm
-@20 hours it drops down to 37mm
-@ 24 hours it drops down to 29mm
There is also a shitload of info regauring root to yeild ratio vs veg to yeild ratio, and draws the conclusion that at the end of the experiements the root to yeild ratio was higher

OK so looking at my plants what should the light cycle be? I've been leaving the light on for 24 hours a day =\
Don't stress out, and for godsake don't switch all at once. Right now before you change it at all figure out exactly when you want your light on for the 16 hours. The give it an hour of dark for a few days(say 3), then and another hour, then 3 days later another hour. You want to make the transistion as stressless as possible because stress can make your plants turn into hermaphrodites or males. My lastattempted grow I couldn't get thetemp undercontrol and all 10 of my plants turnedinto males.
There are people here who do use 24/0 for the whole veg cycle, I'm justgiving you whatI got.
Next tip, go to the dollar store and pick up any thermometer you can and see ifyou can find shiny wraping paper on sale, you can use the backside like mylar and waste less light.
dont use 24hrs of light, i used this method to see what would happen and all it did was make my electric more expensive, unless your conditions are 100% perfect at all times never use 24hrs of light.
instead get a timer, 5 bucks at walmart, set it to 18 on 6 off and leave it there until they/you are ready to flower, then you can move it to 12hrs on 12hrs off and this triggers flower hormones to the plants.
this still takes a week to 3 weeks to find out the sex of the plants, i am right now 7 days into flower and was able to sex 4 out of 7 plants with 3 being females using the 18/6 lighting.

Ok so today I went to wal-mart and bought a bunch of stuff for my plants and im growing cactus and hot peppers xD Here is a picture of the stuff I bought. My cousin went to buy my glass thermometer so I can measure the heat and stuff in my room.
What are the little bottles? pH testers I hope, if so Your getting somewhere now.
yep xD it's a pH tester, and the light bulbs are 26 watts =\ i couldent find the 23 watts so i got the closest thing to it. I got 3 ivy's and 3 of some plant that my mom had and like... 8 pepper plants growing and 4 cactus plants growing.
PS. My mom was telling my to germinate my seeds like i was with my marijuana seeds haha xD i was like.. wtf.. she dident even care -.-
ok.. well i'll put some update pictures up here pretty soon when my parents go to sleep. O ya.. im putting the plants in bigger pots, 6" pots.

Should I make a light reflector? out of like.. foil and cardboard until I go back to wal-mart and buy some real reflectors.
lol steal a street sign. Foil isn't so great as a reflector. Do a search and you should find a fewposts on what material is xx% reflective.

^^ don't steal, lol, tape white paper to a card board box, and use that. or get inventive and make something out of whatever. white spray paint is good stuff.
I was joking about the stealing, it's not cool. I bought Visqueen(white on one side black on the other 85% reflective and lightproof) 10' wide for 1$ a foot, or buy shiny christmas wrapping paper on sale and use the shiny side. hahha cool.. your my online friend chrissy xD O ya.. my plants are doing good.. my older plants (by 2 days) is looking kinda odd though =\ its leaning and one leaf is standing straight up and umm..it looks kinda odd.. i'll take a bunch of pictures of it later. It seems as if the older plants is going to be a male and the younger one is going to be female =\

sorry kb, but i have to say that i cannot condone, nor can i support you without parental consent. i'm sorry, you seem like a nice guy, but i don't support those who grow in other's property.
please stop your op, grow some legal plants for a month or two, then grow outdoors. when you have a place of your own, or your parents are down with you growing, or you have a garden patch in the woods somewhere, i'd be more than happy to help you out.
until then, good luck...and i pray you don't get caught, and that your parents won't have to take a state mandated vacation...

Not the best idea to look at me for nutrient information, this I'm just learning about.
I agreewith KP but I'll still help you out. Why not get some veggies and practise with that, Your mom would even help you out then come summer you'll be prepared. Put yourself in your parents shoes, what if you got busted for your kid?(hypothetically and in the future)

I do have veggies though.. I have 3 Ivy's 3 of some plant my mom has and like.. 14 Pepper plants and 4 Cactus I just planted today.. My mom helps me with that but I need nutrients =\ I want my plants to be healthy.. I'm going to go to College for growing in 2 years. It's what i've been wanting to do for a while and since i'm a pot head i might as well grow pot. soo... And ya my mom found my plants before and threw those away and I grew more but the way she sounded was like.. she dident care.. she said to me today.. "Why dont you let your seeds grow roots in a paper towel like you did with your pot seeds" hahah.. that cracked me up.. And she dosent care if i smoke pot so if she finds them again she will get kinda mad but she wont make me get rid of them i'll just tell her its a male and it cant produce thc and get me high and that im going to kill the plant and that im just doing it for practice for when i move out.. she dosent know the difference. She said I can grow when i move out but thats not for another 2-4 years =\ and I want my own pot lol.. but umm.. thanks for all the help though.. Kp you can atleast help me with my veggies right? =\ I'll keep you updated when they sprout and stuff.

But I dont understand i've never gotten in trouble with the law and why would a cop come to my house randomly and search my house for pot? And its well hidden and only my cousin knows and he smokes with me alot and he will never tell on me. And yes I do feel guilty about this but she dosent really care anymore. =\
i'll help with the veggies ;) but i think that if you ask your mom if you can grow a plant or three for first hand info for a school project, she may say ok, and help you keep it on the down; or just be honest and tell her that you don't want to support drug dealers...
i'm not saying they won't, but think of this; what if they do? i had a guy call 911 at my house after one toke... had the cops show up and everything (with 8 babies in the closet) soooo close...
:o thats crazy.. But my neihboor is cool haha it's an old lady and she's a gardener I talk to her alot and she gave me some of her soil xD but I got new soil today. She could give me tips also haha.. And she's seen me smoke before -.- she dosent care she minds her own buisness. And at night time its always windy and so i smoke at that time so the smoke will go away quicker. Thanks for all the tips though Kp I understand what your trying to say =\ but you will help me with veggies right? xD

Ps. I put tape on the fan because it silences it and makes it sound like my computer is making the noise xD

Here is a picture of the temperature.. It looks to me as if it is about 82-83 is that good? =\ I put a ventilation in my room its 3 tubes coming from my room because my room is chilli xD it should work.
Ok well.. the temerpature is at exactly 80 now that i put the ventilation in. xD im excited on my updates I moved up alot.. the pH of the water is perfect and i have a few bottles of it sitting in my computer cabinet.

Try to keep your temp no higher than 80, if it goes a few degrees higher though it's not much to worry about. What you really want to aim for is consistancy, so tray and keep your temp above 70 at night. Where are the veggie picks? I sawthat venus fly trap the other day too how's that going? Oh and just tell your mom. You can take care of them better if you don't have to hide them. Oh and pH, test the water then after you water test the run off, When you start nutes this will be a valuable test to give you a heads up for build up and over fertilization. Don't just do it to your pot do it for all your plants.
