Have a good one!
Nice day today.
Jumped on my valkyrie and broke some laws.....then came home.

i couldnt decide for the longest time between a sport bike and an old harley for my first bike... but sport bikes are so exciting to ride. they accellerate, brake and handle better than almost ANYTHING on the road, 2 wheels or 4. but i've still got a deep urge for an old sportster. for some reason i've got a soft spot for sportsters and cafe racers.... i LOVE cafe racers! and by the way, i'm almost done with my bike... did all the work myself. it was GREAT to get out and ride saturday and today :)
the cruiser is my friends bike... anyone care to guess what it is? :D
the pictures wouldnt work... piece of shit!
I can't tell. Whatizit? <G>

Beautiful bikes but I'll put money on that some of them are a complete bitch to ride.
OMG one of my friends offered to let me take his GORGEOUS custom from-scratch chopper out for a spin.... I was like, nuh-uh, now way! Those things are like the trophy wives of the motorcycle world... nice to look at, but you don't want to have them be the only thing you're stuck riding, ya dig?Quote:

my first bike was a 02 honda honda valk interstate.
2nd a 98 gold wing.
present bike is a 2006 kawasaki vulcan 2000 classic Lt.
nice bike. cruising at 80 mph feels like i'm walking.
been having dreams of a ultra classic harley lately, need a better paying
job for that .
I'm rolling a Valkyrie right now too, unfortunately it's up on blocks in garage until I can fix a small gear inside the starter clutch assy, which is INSIDE THE ENGINE CASE...sucky.
Good thing that I still have to wait another 4 months till it's warm enough to ride it...
ive got an 04 buell xb12s ill post pics when shes out of the garage...
by the looks of it maybe 1 month...
i ride sping till winter because of the snow....i cut all car/truck insurance and ride rain or shine all day everyday when not working and farming...i wish they had a sidecar or trailer for 2 dogs tho... one day maybe?
not an artsy fartsy guy here. No Show....All Go!

i have a 2003 red zx6r 636 ninja with d&d cf exhaust, gregs flushmounts, smoked screen, fender eliminator kit, power commander, etc..
I want my old RD400 back (sob)
I have been trying to find an RZV-500R, but noone wants to sell 'em here in the states. Can't say as I blame 'em though. I have been thinking about getting another bike forever, but I can'tt bring myself to not buy a 2-stroke - old habits die hard I guess
RD400 was a torque-monster! That would be nice to have.

Well the temp hit 40 degree today..........RIDE TO LIVE! VERY nice 2 hour put....balls are a bit cold but besides that it's alllll gooood.
Have a good one!
DAMN.
It's 45 here... warm enough to ride... and my plow guy put the snow pile in EXACTLY the right spot to block the bike in.
Aw shucks.
I'm snowed in big time. Drifts around the hut are up to the windows. I did move snow from in front of the shack to get the trash out to the dump. (the shack is where my bike is) It may get all the way up to 20* today!

my dad buitl his own bike from scratch when i was a kid, it was sort of a 60's looking street racer and was well good. i was going to get myself a bike but my doctor advised me against it as i have an ear condition and the engine noise would deafen me for life, i was gutted. i think that triumph make the most visually stunning bikes around, the triumph speedmaster is a work of art. its a retro-futuristic looking beast which wouldnt look out of place in the apocalyptic wastes of the mad max films.
shovel, sick bike! i love the drag bars or clip ons on the old bikes like that. if done correctly, a sportster like that is one of my dream bikes. right behind my MV augsta, cafe racer and bobber :)
sorry, not a sportster, 383. It's a 1982 Shovelhead Wide Glide w/ 90" (1475cc) stroker engine (like your 383).

wow, i just found this thread. I couldn't help but post and i rarely post. I ride a 05 ninja 500. Its my first bike and i love it to death, never once in my life have i ever thought about riding till last year and then i was hooked, but i crave for more power and speed. I plan on getting a cbr 1000RR. Its nice to see people with the same interests and hobby. heres my little baby, It was used as a clothing rack when i had an eye problem for a couple of months. Riding with one eye is real scary because depth preception is way off.
I had a 2000 Honda CBR600F4. Put 16,xxx miles on in a year and a half, and sold it. 2 winters ago I bought an '01 Yamaha R1 but sold it last year. I miss it... I maybe want to get a 600 to do track days... but I really want a Ducati Ten Nine Eight... best street bike ever built?
My babies...
The CBR 600 is the next bike I plan to get when my Ninja kicks it... if that ever happens... damn thing is indestructible.
Stunning paint job on that R1.
Thanks! That was my Gary McCoy replica... If I'd have kept it any longer I was gonna do a Vale 46 theme...Quote:

Damn, that's the last year of the big ninjas that I still like the body styling. And I'm only 3 hours from you.
But I'm a po' bitch atm.
i want to upgrade at the end of this season but i've got too much shit that costs $$$
50 degrees and sunny.........time for me to ride!
Have a good one!
72 and sunny........you all have a good time. My ass will be on the Iron Horse!
Have a good one!
Oh, that's great... if an 'iron lung' is an artifical breathing apparatus, something iron that your ass is on seems like an overcomplicated way to avoid adding fiber to your diet, lol...Quote:

Hey, I'm old and arthritic. I used to be really tough. <G>
Now I'm not the first frozen MC rider on the road anymore.
I don't really mind a bit though. lol

it's been raining here for like 3 or 4 days... no time to ride, and my only other way of getting around here at college is my feet!
