i am not sure if nephi is mentioned in the bible, but he was supposedly a prophet and the first two books in the book of mormon are about him and his father or other relative named Lehi.

I did not think there are many non mormons in Utah. A friend of mine lived there for a couple months but came back to So Cal afterwards. He told me him and another friend would hang out with some white dudes from Utah and one of the guy's dad was some kind of politician, anyways they would all get high every day and the politician's son would always be on deck with all kinds of liquor.

I specify white dudes only because the others were non white, but tell me that most of the people in Utah happen to be white and he never saw a black man or woman there. Also, i have noticed that the majority of mormons that i have come across are white as well. They do also go worldwide to try to recruit.

Im sure there are at least a few black folk in Utah, theres the Utah Jazz team after all.

The thing about dark skin is true. It is still in the Book of Mormon (2nd book of Nephi). They still teach it. No I am not Mormon, as I refuse to belong to any racist organization even if it is in my favor. The next time you speak to the woman who lives near you regarding the LDS faith, you should cite references to this "curse." I bet she'll start to change her tone, and she might even avoid you.
I've done this many times when I am approached by missionaries. It really bothers me when missionaries treat me as a future prospect. When I tell them about their religion, and how they should be ashamed of themselves for promoting such a racist, hateful religion, they get uneasy, and really nervous.

Then I ask them if they can find anything that rebukes my argument, then they can come back and show me.

They never return.

Now this just helped me figure something out. I always wondered why so many Mormons were blonde, especially the women. I new they thought black skin was the mark of Cain, but until now I never put it together.

HAHA...well this is funny. My dad is mormon my mom isnt. So i never was baptized thanks ot my mom. Then they got divorced. Anyways i got into too much trouble living with my mom so the courts sent me with my dad. I go to church every sunday and youth activities. Still not a member. Been going my WHOLE LIFE! And ive never heard any of this stuff before. I even lived in SLC for a little while. Now houston. Ive heard all kinds of crazy stuff. Like mormon girls that have sex get burned on a cross to death haha that was in the classroom at school. And that mormon girls take it in the bung hole so there future husband dont find out and keep there virginity. Give me more questions to ask peolpe at church they dont like me anyways because they know i was incarcerated as a juvenial im 17. And thats why im here looking for UA tips.

You arnet allowed in the temple but are in the churches. I was in a temple once but it was before it was dedicated so anywhole can go. Its beatiful inside, i was high haha. And yes mormons are very judgemental but very nice people.

Think about it.

Why is someone Catholic or Protestant, Shiite or Sunni? Chances are it's because their parents follow that religion. Now, they probably feel that their religion is the right one, the true one, etc., but it's luck of the draw..what if they hadn't been born rich, white, and evangelical? Any Catholic could have just as easily been born into an Islamic family, and then they'd be praying 5 times a day instead of eating crackers and drinking wine.

Of course there are people who choose to belong to one religion or another, for reasons of their own. But those cases are rarer than the billions who were simply raised by religious parents.

My GGGG grandfather as a child job was to run threw the mormon town when the marshalls were coming doing the Pual revere act hahaha i thought that was funny as fucc.

But really most of the Mormons I know are great people, in a Donny and Marie sort of way. (even the one in prison for pedofilia)

I work for Mormons and they're always trying to convert me, so I'm curious about the freakier sides of their beliefs...so do go on.

I'm related to Pocahontas; she married John Rolfe, who is on my grandfathers side of the family, and he forced her to be baptized and to convert to Christianity before they were wed, lol! Although, this part of the story is usually left out of historical records. It usually says something so much more pleasant:

"John Rolfe was a very religious man who agonized for many weeks over the decision to marry a "strange wife," a heathen Indian.
