what i am getting at is yes, when i drive blazed i am impaired, and under the influence of a 'drug', but the effects in which that drug have on my control of the vehicle are so minor, especially to the types of roads i drive on
go ahead flame this all you want slipknot, but just try to see where we are coming from, i'm acknowledging your views, and trying on your shoes, just think about it...
last night i drove high for the first time. i was really blazed but i was only driving through a neighborhood and at night so there weren't really any people about. it was easier than i had expected. i thought it was fun. but i wouldnt ever drive through busy roads for at least an hour or so after i smoked.
lol in high school on nights when there wasn't much to do some of my friends and me would climb into my 1985 ford bronco, smoke up, then go mudding. also, and probably my fav., we'd take my truck, AND RUN OVER PORT-O-POTTIES!!!!!!!sooooo much fun
^we called it Port-O-Pottie bowling
driving stoned feels like your driving in a video game IMO
i went to Giant once totally stoned. driving there was really insane. luckily it was only like, 1 mile down my street. when i walked thru the ailes, i swear the shelves get getting closer and closer together. then i would start giggling. it was 12 am so i think everyone there was lifted.
i wouldnt drive high again though because i dont want to hurt anyone on the road.
I'll admit that I do drive high on ocassion. But that is usually on my way to work. However, there is a difference between being just high and being stoned. Being stoned is very close to being drunk, I don't care what anyone says. To me, there is a difference between smoking a joint (depending on your tolerance level) waiting a half hour or so and driving, and smoking 2 blunts and then trying to drive. I know that when I smoke 2 or more blunts of good weed, my mind goes to jello and I like that feeling, but not good when driving where all your concentration is needed.
haha thats pretty funny.Quote:
Yea dude drivin an listenin to your CD's baked is awsome. Except somtimes when I get super baked and im in my neighborhood just drivin around smokin ill always catch myself goin about 10-15 Mph. Or that I just passed the same house for the third time
I completely agree with Slipknot on this one. You should not drive when stoned. I don't care if you can keep the car in the correct lane without swirving around and hitting other cars... that's not all driving is. You need to aware at ALL times of what is going on around you, and you're just not in that state of mind when blazed.
And this talk about only doing it during the day and only short distances is bull shit. That's when you need to be more aware then ever. Pedestrian are mostly out during the day. And oh what about kids in your residential areas? They fly onto the road on bikes, skateboards, scooters all the time. You won't be able to react.
It's fucking stupid.
