Come to think of it, the guy I got my clones from had a T44 about 4 foot tall. It was looking rather spindly and not much foliage, but it was quite branchy.
Whether it was that way because he wasn't taking good care of it or not, I don't know. He had it under a 400W HID, but his temps were around 33C.
He said himself that he knew it was too tall and he was just experimenting and mucking around with it.

far from ideal my summer buds were absolute shite compared with the winter grow temps were 30+
so come april ill need a cool tube or a heat sheild like yours
hows the plastic fantastic working out ? have you now got both lights tannin you girls now ?
The plastic has got the temps down about 2- 3c, from 29-ish to 26-ish. Theres about a 10cm gap all the way, which is allowing some heat to get by on the sides I think. I would have prefered to have it fit completely.
From my calculations, which may well be off, I'm losing about 1200 lumens, like a 20W cfl, which doesn't seem too much, and I'm hoping the lower temp
is worth it.
I don't think I'll be able to stuff the other lamp up, though I haven't tried, mainly because 650W for 3 plants seems like overkill, considering the electricity bill...
I'm hoping to be allowed to put a big old closet in a friends garage, in which case all 800W go up.
Just bought 30 quid of wire fence to scrog with and gave it up after half an hour. It's gonna take a bleeding whole day to push all those buds through, what with the working position being rather awkward and stuff. :mad:

the side branches are really short and thick
also id idealy like to keep the hps on 1212 constant and just move plants from the veg to the hps when theyre about 14" in 6.5l pots with a view to havein 2 600w grow rooms an a 250w cfl veg cab with a harvest every 3-4 weeks
im thinkin 12 1, 1/2-2oz plants under a 600w gona pick up my pots and more coco this week and give it a go after crimbo
does this sound like a workable plan ?
Haha, you two have me confused on the whole scrog concept. I always thought you put the screen on early in veg and let the plant grow sideways under it, which makes it grow more tops just like LST'ing then you flower once you get the screen filled. :confused:Quote:

To me, the rest of your plan sounds great, though I wonder if 6 liters is enough for 14" veggies? Mine were about 14" when they went in to flowering in 8 kilos of soil each, and I'm wondering if the pot size will make it to the end of flowering...
Splifted, you're right, I was hoping that my LST's would be able to get scrogged this late, I only thought of doing that a few days ago, because I was getting tired of tucking leaves and always finding a new bud top that was being obscured.
I tuck every day, but if I went and had a look now, I'd still find 10 small tops that are being hidden amongst my 3 gals.
My expereince now is that it would be a huge hassle to scrog this late in the game.

when i first started this thread mega said train well then drop on the screen and place the shoots in the desired holes
this should work well for this strain as its not a shooter like some types of weed which would require lots of training of the side branches
the idea of a screen is to equate the light distrubution to the bud sites but i feel without toping early on a plant may still be inclined to grow a main cola
as for the 6.5 litre pots in the hydo shop u get 6.5 + 11 litre square pots for the hydro systems now the last 2 grows when ive pulled out the root ball although filling solid the top 3-4" and the bottom 2-3" theres still a lot of space in the centre of the pot
im not sure but im thinking about 6.5l would be ok for a 2'-2,1/2' plant
t44 flowered at 14 " finished at 30"
chronic flowered at 14" grew well over 5' and was 3-4x the width of the 44 and had 5x the side growth
a few years ago i worked with a guy who kept telling me of this 80 plant grow him an his mates had when he lived in dam told me all this bollox special techniqs industrial fans on the roof and the like said it took 4 grows bfore they got a crop that was worth top dollor to the coffe shops got em to grow just one main bud the size of a rugby ball
of coarse im like yeh yeh yawn yawn
then he broght his photo album in and i was like what the fuk
no shit this fellas sat cuddling a bud like a baby! in a room full of plants from the little shop of horrors they were really stumpy with a fukin huge cola
wish i could track him down an get some tips off him
but until i do ill just keep tryin my own experiments searching for the best way of growin super buds

Lol, i've been flowering for like 21 and I still have that many at least i'm sure. Some of my girls are looking sativa-ish with their more lanky growth (stopped that shit with some FIM'ing) and longer skinnier leaves. Since I have no clue at all as to the genetics, only thing I can do is wait. Keep up with the pics man.

i had to respray the ladys tonight they had creepys allover the lower leaves i hope they clear off im useing "safespray" its all natural (weak as f#%k) so :(
the screen does help me tuck fan leaves away from the weaker budsites and it seem's to help even out the canopy aswell
its gona be an exciting month 1st of jan pics should be a treat

I'm planning on using one of those folding bed frames as a screen next grow. It's perfect. Its like the size of a bed (duh) and has about 2x2" holes. And its already almost the right height.

all the lower leaves are shitty theyre all over the clones-moms every where
when i was spayin the safe spray (safe for thrips to drink,swim in and brush there nasty little teath with ) i found one fly digin about in the pot of one of the bonzis so that proves theres a full family of bud munchin bastards in my patch
ive read a few more poor buggers are havein the same trouble and there doesnt seem to be a safe product to use during flower to murder the swine is it gona be ok to live with em (under control) or will they eat the buds :(

I feel you man, I never had the problem before but I can picture what I would be doing and how mad I would be if it were happening to me. If the flies haven'r hurt the plant yet, then maybe they aren't going to do anything to the plants. If it were spider mites, your plants would have been dead by now, so be thankful for that. Keep in mean that you only have to battle this bugs for only at most 50 days for floweing ;) . Good Luck man, Team Top44 will live on...
the bugs have really die 'd down the last few days so im quite pleased with that
but im smokein my last bud of 44 and itll probably run out by thursday :mad:
ive started givein pk 13-14 today 10 ml -10 l and reduced the big bud to 20ml

Beautiful PiCs bro, your plants look right on target for about 16 days. You proved that the SCROG Method of growing is the best way to grow and that will produce multiple buds sites. Damn, when I start this new job and get paid, I'm going to up-grade my grow cab into I alittle MINI SCROGER. 2 plants max inside maybe just 1. Keep Up the good work man, my buds are really frosty right now and the bud sites are still growing. If I had better lights, it would have been finished by now. The flowering is at day 50 right now, but I'm a very patient man. Keep those plants happy BubbyLove, if you show them love, they will grow with that love into the beautiful plants they are now :p .

ive been a bit off this last week and not spent much time with the ladys but ill post a few pics tonight when its lights on time so i get some with and without the light
faithless im am scared to move the budsites bcoz of streching but the scrogs covering nearly a 3x3 ft square under the light so i feel theyre all in the ideal area for light coverage just a little compact
blaq if you ve left your buds over 50 days they re bound to be a kickass smoke its been another week since your post have you harvested yet ???
dont forget to smoke a little damp sample and post the results
Lookin good man, you suck though for only having 28 days left after 16 days of flowering. I still have 21 days left, and I'm on day 35 :-p I can't wait to hear how this smokes, I'm interested in trying this strain myself.
