Hey, friend. I'm OK. Tired and emotionally exhausted but still basically OK. Our whole family's that way right now, as you can imagine. I don't think I've learned or absorbed a thing that's been taught at school so far this week, which is sad.

I'll try and find a shop nearby. I don't have any machinists in my circle, to be honest, and don't even know where to begin looking. If a local search doesn't pan out, I will indeed send it to you. i think this might be the case. i know i have seen bongs in headshops just like this, like exactly like this. but you obivously drilled a hole, so maybe there is some big vase manufacturing company, and some pot smoking craftsmen bought a hell of a lot of them and turned them into bongs.... anyways, this is far too much thought for this topic anyways... nice bong!

Sounds like you had a bad experience on the net. I know it happend all too often so it's something I can relate to. Just some people that I thought were my friends seem to really not be. I was being used as they were the ones that "got me and the others didn't" I felt like I was a pawn. So, I quietly exited the place and have remained quiet about the situation.

Maybe. It is possible that a craftsman saw the vases and bought a bunch with the same idea in mind as invision. totally possible.
Maybe invision should price those and price his accordingly.

did you make the one beside it, reminds me of one me and my brother made from a beaker we err borrowed i sat there for nearly a day with the glass gutter making sure it was all perfect..

it's pretty obvious what's going on here, invision went out and bought a $100 bong at a headshop, took some pictures of it, posted them here and said he made it. The plan would have been perfect but it's a plant saw through invisions lies and called him on it. Not wanting to admit defeat invison quickly pulled out downstem and used a knife to chip away at the finely blown hole in the glass to make it look homemade. Took some pics of the hole and posted it. Nice try invison, but you can't fool us... ;)

using my Dremmel method is much safer and more sure... By drilling a hole in glass with an ordinary drill and bit you will most likely crack the glass... keep in mind he said "Machine Shop" and in a machine shop there are only perfectly sharpened drill bits,even with perfectly sharpened bits you have to have a touch when it comes to using a drill press as forcing will most likely crack the glass...

These are a bunch of home-made bongs from vases.
To drill glass, you have to use a glass bit. A high rpm Dremel works better than the cordless type.
You have to keep the vase under water of the glass will crack from overheating and your bit will get dull.

I have to say I have never seen a vase with a convenient hand-grip of the sort normally reserved for bongs... I'm tempted to go with the doubters. But looking at the 'bong project'... maybe it's legit; if so, it's cool.

well im am dissapointed at the majority of the posts it wasnt meant to turn into a shit fest but it did, i shouldnt have to prove myself here but it pissed me off and im heading out to burlinton coat factory today to pick up another one.

i dont get why anyone would think i would lie i would have just posted check out my new bong if it was store purchased, but it did give me motivation to see if i could make and sell them off so if they still have a good amount i will pick some up and drill them.

nope that bong the GF bought at the headshop over a year ago i think it was 65.00 maybe less but right around there, i didnt like how harsh the smoke was unless you added lots of ice but the new bong it clean sailing :dance:
