1st grow update

Hey invision Ive been reading this site for a few weeks and your thread about three times so far just studying every step you have taken in flowering. I am impressed/jealous of your first grow your doing an amazing job!! I cant beleive the size of the buds your plant is putting out with your setup. I am wondering about how you got to this point...your thread starts already in the flowering room. My setup looks no where near as nice as yours. My veg box is filled with odd colored plants that dont seem to do what I want them to (get huge!!) If you could be so kind as to give me a general description of your vegging process and how you got that beautiful plant to show up with 14 bud sites It would really help me out. I am afraid to LST my plants as I am scared Ill screw it up and ruin a plant, Any suggestions on the best way to do this? Thanks for the awesome thread and keep up the good work!!!!

i actually have my whole grow on my PC starting with 2 plants ill upload some.

i had a thread here when i was in veg not a single person offered me help here so i read other people problems what they look like and what they did to treat them when i got a problem i already knew what to do plus i have this chart that shows all known problems by leaf this alone is a must for every single grower on the planet id print this bitch out and hang it on street poles if i could.

Thanks for the quick reply its nice when I see others like yourself more than willing to help another fellow first time grower. I too am having a problem where my threads are not being replied to at all. Passthatshit was nice enough to put a post on my thread and I have noticed a certain few other users on this site are real good about helping us noobies out. The pics you put up are a great help, sometime if you dont mind check out my thread of my grow so far and please give any suggestions/critisism that you can. Your plants look very good to me, Invision. I have been reading a lot of threads on this forum for a couple months before I started posting and I've noticed a change in the posts recently too. I'm curious to know what caused that. Weird. Anyway, VNP...very nice plants! :D

ok guys i need advice.........

no pics im tired as hell so here we go...............

friday i watered her with 1/4 mix of 10-50-10 now this is friday at 6:30am so i water her and leave for work she looks great........

ok so i leave to go out for the weekend camping so i wont be back till sunday my pot litterly dry bare in 2 days so i have to keep up with watering often so i figured plenty of time so i get home at 9:30pm sunday and check on her and i opened the door she was badly drooping and the pots were light as a feather(this is how i judge to water works awesome).

so i dint bother to mention it i knew she needed water and the pics above are 1hr after water you wouldnt know it happened i then noticed a slight yellow tinge in the leaves i figured it was probly this so i let it go, now tonight i open the door and she is a lot yellow id say 50/50.

i tested my PH my meter said it was 7 i didnt trust it so i got my tab ph tester back ups and test the run off(never did this otherwise)and it was yellow meaning below 6.8 so my guess is more like 6.0 this has to be it she looks like she lacks P but i just fed her and i dont think its burn her green up top is fine and her buds are great looking.

at the moment i flushed her with my tap water as i used distilled with calmag plus my tap water is 7.5 according to the tabs hoping to atleast bring her back to 6.8 range so other than what i have done what else can i do i have PH up but figured the tap will help it just as well?

ok id feel like a bad plant owner if i didnt provide pics, fucking guilty conscience!

and not to mention the huge fan leave the fell off.....im a dick.....and very high right now:stoned:

Hey Invision the plants are looking mighty nice bro. You said one of the fans leaves fell off? Did it fall off or did it get pulled off? Im only asking cuz If it just fell off...Ur not a dick its just your plant saying "haha fuck you". If it accidently got pulled off then you are a dick and your a terrible plant owner. LOL just kidding ha. You were nice enough to reply to my thread the other day I really appreciate that. seems she is only getting worse i tried watering her with a higher dose of PH'ed water but the run off is still low i have exactly 3 weeks left i may just chop her after the weekend which i guess wouldnt be so bad considering she has grown and budded quite a bit (maybe a once worth of herb) so im not too bummed.

i know one thing dont buy cheap PH readers my grow would have been flawless otherwise i atleast know i can grow herb without a problem so stay away from Rapitest meters they are shit, im going to concentrate on my new cab after this and get a 4-6 plant setup going and buy a real PH meter for 100.00 or so.

well thanks for the support here i had fun doing it ill still update until she is completely chopped and dried wish my equipment didnt let me down but atleast it wasnt my mistakes that took her this route.

Sorry to hear that they seem to have gone south on you Invision...but it's still possible it's not over...I have seen a number of grows where many of the main leaves yellowed or fell off towards the end. Survival is a number one instinct and it will do what ever actions she needs in order to live. Her only purpose in life right now is to try and pollenate and propogate and she is putting every remaining drop of energy into it, even if it means dropping her other leaves. In essense, she is sacrificing herself so that you'll have better buds so don't give up on her!!

Doco has a great point invision your plant has come too far to just give up on it. Shit mine started outside with no nutes and natural causes started flowering about two weeks before I even put them under a hps light. Plus nobody likes a quitter!!lol just kidding keep your head up!!!

I feel you on the ph. I need to find a good one myself Invision. Let me know if you find one, I will do the same. Are you using organic food? What brand of nutrients are you using?

im growing until all those leaves fall off or she recovers just 20 days to go id be a bitch if i let all that work go down the drain, im not really bummed i know where i went wrong so that will NEVER happen again.

Budnums- i used organic during veg and non-organic during flower dont know why i just did they both worked great, the veg nute was 12-0-0 dont remember who made it and the flower was 10-50-10 by peters and this stuff rocks.

on the brighter side of things my GF made me go by new material for the bigger cab so that cheered me up i love her, ill start building it this weekend and it may even be done saturday night an then start all over with 300watts hps.....wish i knew where to get clones :question:

ill take pics tonight anyhow even if she isnt looking pretty her buds smell and look great my whole house stinks you can smell it the moment you walk in :dance:

I bet if you just gave that bad boy a good flush you'd be back in business. I just picked up a book called "The Cannibis Grow Bible" and OMG is it filled with information. I went through about 200 pages in a couple hours like it was nuthin. Hey man things could be worse, you could have fn spidermites on your plants eating up every bit of livelyhood your plants possess. you know now that im high and i really looked at her it made me smile, that is one sexy plant and thanks for the support this is too much fun i got some reflectix from homedepot a big ol 25foot roll stuff is like mylar but 100x more durable it wont rip is you pull it.

new cab in the works baby maybe a 400watt hps in the future too who knows maybe ill be the guy on the news busted for 50,000watt grow:thumbsup:

Your plant is doing great...looks like it's making a full comeback. I'm sure she's gonna live as long as you need her too and give you lots of frosty stank buds. How much longer now, couple weeks you figure?

is it not the plant sucking the last 'N' out of the leaves as it gets towards the end of its life cycle?
that usually starts at the bottom of the plant too. they look fine.... woory about the buds not the fan leaves

Ya, Greenmonster, I was thinking along those lines too, but I based that on things I've read, not actual experience so I didn't want to venture a guess and possibly mess someone's grow up. The fact that it happened pretty suddenly after a period of going bone dry makes me wonder about other problems. It looks fine to me though, I think it's gonna be a fantastic harvest.

I agree. I was wondering why Invision was saying that they won't make it to the end? If anything, you have plenty of foliage with only a couple of weeks to go. Good Job and enjoy those buds :thumbsup:

You will end up clipping most of those leaves off anyway so don't sweat it. Start focusing on when your plants are ready to harvest.

Oh yeah I forgot to ask did you use that peters at full strenght from
the start of flowering?

Damn 5 minute thingy.... ok I saw you used it a 1/4 strength. You might
want to try some gypsum or crushed egg shells soaked in warm
water over night. It adds calcium and helps brake down shit that
builds up in the soil that can hinder plant growth.

Yo Invision. I've been trying to find some Peter's 10-50-10 but no luck. I have 20-20-20. Is that no good? I am vegging my plants right now and unsure about what nutes to use. Thank God I am getting a book tonight. Also, are you still using one hps 150w? Did you veg and flower with the same light? Right now I am using a hps 150w, but I am worried that it isn't going to provide any blue light for the plants, so I put a couple bluer flourescents to compensate.

I read that vegging with an HPS will make the plants tall and less bushy. What do you think(anyone think)? Please shed some light somebody!

i used the same bulb the whole grow i didnt have the stretch issue some people do have guess i was lucky and the 20-20-20 is good for veg but you want higher P in flower.

yabatab- i use calmag plus with every watering so i think that should cover the calcium plus the nutes have micro's in them too, i believe its the PH she needs water tonight so ill add some extra calmag plus to be sure and add some slightly high PH'ed water

Oh yeah INV I found some peters 10-50-10 at the fucking dollar store
of all places LOL they also had some sholtz liquid 10-50-10 both were
on sell for $1.50 LOL. I picked up both for my next grow. I have not tried
the sholtz before so I'll give it a try on one of my plants during flowering
on my next grow and see if there is any difference.

Have you been adding epsom salt for mag and sulf INV?

nope no mag problems the leaves curl upward if there is one had one a long time ago but havent seen it since i used calmag plus, damn a 1.50 for the nutes id use them id use the liquid first to see how it does.

Dude check your general dollar store they might have those where you
are too. The store is called Freds here but its a spin off of the dollar
store im pretty sure. I guess I am still a dinosaur grower I have been
using the same nutes for around 11 years now LOL.

gave her some nutes and PH'ed water last night no change in leaves so thats a good thing she is not getting worse....i hope.
