BUMP!!!
A view from the outside where the air is cold and fresh
Ok, so I'm caught up on your thread now. Looks very nice. It seems you have a natural green thumb. I was surprised when you went from asking when you should clone your plants to just flowering all of them. That's scary, just in case...well, I won't jinx your clones by saying that. ;)
Anyway, it looks like they are coming along very nicely. They seem to have really shot up after you kicked them into flower. I hope they start budding for you asap! :) Good luck, man. I'll keep up with ya.
I've been spending all my time tonight replying to other peoples threads, that I havent posted any new pics on mine.

Hey GreenFOG, I had to flower them ASAP cause my inlaws are coming. I even threw away the cuttings I was gonna start. Believe me, I would have liked more veg, but I think they will do ok. The weather is so nippy, that I'm able to put the light very close to the plants without them getting HOT with the door open. I think I will give them a small dosage veg food tomorrow. I'm surprised they are doing so well without proper ventilation during the dark period. I have a fan in there but the room is sealed pretty tight with the curtain. No light leaks. I guess there's enough oxygen in there. I was worried about that.
Damn inlaws, always ruining the party! Shakes fist Well, I'm glad they are doing well without the proper ventilation. Oh, and it's not that they have enough Oxygen in there, but do they have enough AIR (containing the key ingredient CO2) in there. If they do, they're ok. You'll know if they're in trouble. But at first, they might not show serious signs of trouble, they might just stop growing, look the same but be stunted.
Why are you still using Veg nutes?
TGF
The light is now lower than the last pic. I'll post another pic in two days after a light feeding and two days of stronger light.
If you've followed my thread, I explain what is in my veg nutes. I mixed everything I had. I'm gonna give them a light serving of a total fertilizer since the female hairs haven't showed yet. After this feeding I'm hoping that when I skip my next watering, the female hairs will have shown and then I will give the Bib Bloom. That's what I have on my shelf right now. I'm also considering doing some minor pruning before I feed tomorrow. I want to remove a couple of branches that are shading my 4 larger branches at the bottom.
got any updates/new pics today?
Hi Mike :p
Here's some Velcro and the Twins
After remembering :stoned: that I nuted on my last watering, I just gave them a gallon of plain distilled water. That will clean the soil for my next feeding. I think I will still be able to squeeze another veg before the blooms begin. I'm hoping the veg feeding encourages more stem/leaf growth and then I'll hit it with Big Bloom when the flowers show up :D
Thats some mighty fine velcro you got there PassThatShit lol The twins are looking quite happy today some nice size branches showing up on the lower parts. How long did you let those two veg before you put them to 12/12? Oh and did you LST any of your plants? Hope to hear from you soon...ps any suggestions on the best way to exterminate spider mites from a veg box?
I think the twins were less than 6 weeks old from seed. Did not LST. Used CFL's close to the plants so they grew short and wide. I only trimmed about 3inches off the top of the twins cause they are older and taller than the others.
My room is full of bugs, but I haven't noticed any problems. I've read that 2 tablespoons of salt and one Gallon of water acts as a pesticide against spider mites. Use a sprayer.
See what I mean about the bugs?
Keeping the interior leaves out of the way, is allowing more light to enter the lower branches and bud sites :D
Hey, Pass That, Nice plants. Very nice:thumbsup: Scary spidey!
TGF
PassThat, your plants are looking mighty fine there. Nice little house guest you have on the wall too. I'm hoping I took care of the bug problems in my veg box and in a couple days im moving it up to a diff. location. I have a question for you though just how far is your light from your plants? I have used the palm of the hand method and moved my light to about 14 inches from the tallest plant and seen amazing improvements but the way the hand test feels I think I can move it even closer what do you think about it? Lemme know good luck and again the babies are looking great!!!
Mike, Glad to hear that things are getting better for you
I think alot depends on the temps of the top leaves, cause you don't want them to suffer from heat. In my situation, the plants are pretty short. I put the thermometer at soil level and try to get 80 degrees there. This way the soil is in the 70's and the leaves are probably around 85. You have to keep your hand there for a little time with that method. You want to make sure that your hand feels comfortable after a few minutes, not that it can tolerate it. Keep in mind that the leaf will feel that way for 12 hours. You don't want it under stress. The easiest way is to get those flexible thermostats that some of the growers on here use. You can just flex it to the spot and get a temp reading. It's not the light that harms the leaves, it's the heat.
Good stuff Good stuff I appreciate it, I think for the time being I am gonna keep my light just where it is. I think I need to pay little less attention to my plants at this point as I am starting to obsess over them. I just cant help it I love these things!!! aaa screw it im going to sleep in my flower room goodnight!! lol
BUMP!!!
I haven't noticed any males yet
HPS gives them that gold color :stoned:
I picked up some nice dimes today :stoned:
Can't wait to try White Widow :stoned:
:stoned:
I'm throwing the leaves back like a scarf so the light can penetrate the branches. :)
:stoned:
Since this grow is from seed, I was counting on half of them being males. So If not, I might need a second light to take advantage of the amount of girls. Alot of light is escaping since they're not in a box. 400W with 8 plants right now. I'm sure more lumens would help them flower better, but I may just get what I can out of this 400W. Not sure yet.
Fall Flowers :D
Check out the pyramid form on the right :D
Hey passthat,
Nice grow you got going, I would get some mylar and line the walls on four sides and on the floor with it.For the floor get a picse of plywood to put the mylar on so it stays flate. In my closet I glued the mylar to foam broad and then lined the closet with it.The foam broad is an insulation they use to insulate basements and crawl spaces with.
Nice grow pass that shit
CrazyWill, Thanks.
I used the insulated foam board on my first grow. Actually, the one I used already has reflective aluminum on one side, so theres' no need to line it. I don't want to throw off the air circulation and temps by putting up side walls right now. I may use a sheet for the floor to see if will help raise the soil temp through these cold days. Thanks
Okay, I needed more patience. The males are starting to pop up now. I have verified one plant and suspect two other males at this time. I pulled this one away from the others, and will try to mature it for seeds.
Here's a close up of the seeds starting to grow. Once again, the larger of the two was the male :(
Hey passthat, some nice happy lookin girls you got there buddy. How many days are left on the countdown before you think ull start seeing some hairs turnin brown? Im glad to say I came back from out of town for the weekend and the clones that I have been bringing up are doing much better training the plant is the coolest shit ive ever seen!! Im gon put some pics of it up 2m check out the thread. Also I agree with crazywill some sort of reflective material might help make up for some lost light. I used foylon which is supposed to be more reflective than mylar and its like a cloth material thats treated to not hold moisture. Look forward to seeing more pics!!!
Thanks Mike :)
As far as the hairs changing color, it's still a bit early for that. The plants are still in the early stage of flower growth. I think you can flower White Widow for 8 weeks and 10 may be better. Actually I just gave them their first serving of big bloom. I gave them the suggested half cup per gallon to start. One of of the male looking plants appears to be female. So far, 2 males out of 8 plants
Ok, maybe I missed something in your thread. I read it a few days ago but I just saw this post^^ and I wondered. Did you mean:Quote:

Or have your male plants already pollinated your females...and the seeds have started to grow in the buds?
I guess I should go up and re-read more closely...but I was too lazy before I started typing this post. ;)
TGF
GreenFog LOL, The pics should answer your questions. They show early growth of a male plant. That's why I had to take a close up pic. I removed that plant so the others don't get any seeds.
I moved them back to the corner so they could get more light reflection. Thanks
I think they are about 6-7 weeks since germination or less. They have been given one big bloom feeding so far.
Well, yea, man that's what I mean. I understood correctly. I'm just saying that you used the incorrect terminology, that's all. No worries. Glad you snatched that dude outta there. Can't wait to see those buds grow fat.
TGF
Here is one of the girls :pimp: One week after showing sex.
Looking great Pass....how are the clones doing?
Yeah, they're starting to look very nice,: I think you're going to enjoy white widow looking at the way they're forming. Think you're right on the 8 weeks flowering too from what I've picked up from the boards. Should be well in time for a stoned christmas.:rasta:
Thanks guys
As I mentioned earlier, I threw out the cuttings and forced all the plants into flower a bit early. I didn't even wait for the plants to show alternating nodes. I would have liked to veg them at least another 2-3 weeks, but inlaws are coming!!!
Yeah, I'm hoping for a White Christmas over here :)
She has about 10 colas, I will try to spread out the lower branches to show more of them on the next pic.
Just wanted to point out the hardiness of the cannabis plant. These males have been outside with the overnights in the mid 40's. Last night it dropped down to 40. And they are still going. I want to see how much cold they can take before they start to suffer from it.
As you may tell from the background, tomato season is coming to an end :(
Here are some pics of the shortest of the 3 females. I'm not sure if this one is a White Widow. I might have mixed up the seeds when I planted them. I had some bagseed along with the WW's, so now I'm not sure. Maybe someone can verify whether this one is a WW?
Thanks :D
Good lookin plant C!:rasta:
nice looking plants you have there, would be nice to have a taste of those tomatoes ha ha
