damn nice grow dusto.i gotta get some of this ak im following yours and floyds grows as ak is becoming a intresting strain for me to add to my garden so thatnks for showing your grow . exellent mate.be safe the postman.

Im also more interested in AK now than ever before. I remember smoking a joint of it and i couldnt finish the spliff, 1st and only time thats EVER happened to me, but i cant find seeds on most of the sites? Oh well.

Looking great dusto any chance of telling us the yield of the ak47 plants.

So now they are like 4.5 weeks into flowering. Some of the hairs have begun to turn brownish reddish. Here are some pics.

Ya, OC may be the best option. One of the delivery services that I've used told me they are going to have clones soon.

it really sucks they closed them down. THere used to be this kick-ass one over in OB that had clones al the time.

You have tried delivery? for weed for clones? They deliver from LA to SD or what?

Naw, just one of the SD delivery services for weed...a small amount as a trial. It was good NYC Diesel but they charged me like $70 for an eighth so it was pricey but I wanted to check out what they considered "premium". I'm gonna check out one of the other delivery services in the next week or two.

strange, i saw them listed on the site but i didnt knoe they were still delivering, shit, maybe one of the hard nights ill have to give 'em a try.

yeah same pots. 2 gal is the size. Once they are done, I'll be interested to see whats going on in the roots of all of them.

Damn, had my first issue today. I woke up and they were drooping, not from malnutrition, but cuz the buds are so heavy. Had to put a lot of fishing line in a grid to hold 'em up.

How long untill harvest? Are those real 2 gallon pots or the 1.6 that alot of grow shops call 2 gallons? Good luck, keep us posted.

Bluebear, I wish i knew how long til harvest. I got all these clones and no information on an apprx. flowering time. So, i am going to have to let the plants do the telling. My buddy has supplies me with one of those little microscopes from radio shack. I'll have to use that. The buds still look might premie, as tomorrow will be the start of week 5. I'm thinkin somewhere around 3 to 4 weeks...maybe 5????

The pots i got at Home Depot. On the bottom, it gives the volume in Liters, but i did the math and its 2 gal. i think it was 7.8 liters or something like that.

I plan on getting square pots for the next grow, preferably smaller because with only 1 1K hps, i think we will do better with sog. i am gonna try like 20 in there next.

so the last couple of days are sad as fuck. Looks like the element we didn;t have some control over ended up hermitizing the purple urkle plants. Like 3 weeks ago here in socal there was a wicked heat spell. The temps in the room got up to 102 degrees. Ya'll think this is a good guess to why this happened?

Now i look in some of the buds and there are beans.ahhhh. :(.

They are starting week 7 tomorrow. This sucks. The 3 AK plants don;t have signs and not all the purps were affected. I think they are just gonna stay in and finish the last couple of weeks. Fuck.

ok Dusto2k3 I am giving up the 125w x3 CFL...they just get too damn hot. If I'm gonna battle heat I may as well get all the lumens I can with a 400w HID so I ordered a Hydrohut Mini and a cooltube for my MH/HPS. My question for you since we live in the same county is: I currently have a 6" Vortex 455cfm and a 4" Dayton 265cfm squirrel cage - I'm planning on venting similar to the way you did - the 6" Vortex to draw air from the outside room through the cooltube and out the window while the Dayton will just exhaust air from the Hydrohut into the room. I saw you started out with a duct fan for air intake and I was planning on going passive intake if I could...what are your thoughts now that you have put some time in with the Hydro Hut and our local weather? I can get another small fan for intake if I need it. I'm using a 400w and I know you had 1000w - that must have been murder when we had that heat wave back in July!!!!

DOCO, hey dude, here's they final deal. So from those 9 plants i grew I got 14 ounces dry. I'm not too sure how that is as far as harvest, but it was OK. The AK was DANK, and the purple erkle, i think wasn't purple erkle in the end. OH well. I'm growning it again now, but after my current grow it will be gone. I am gonna grow only AK47. I am flowering 3 Ultra Haze now alony with 8 AK and 7 of the fake P.E.

About your setup. That squirrel cage fan hooked to your filter will create negative pressure. I dont think that is good. My exhaust fan is a 4" vortex that moves like 172 CFM. Even with the 3 passive intakes along the bottom and a small 4" inline duct fan (80 CFM), I STILL have a neg pressure in there( reference the shitty sketch...). I recomend you get a speed dial for that squirrel cage fan. That way you can turn it down and equal out the pressures a little.

Last grow our temps got a little out of control. I'm in north county so its a little hotter here in shit marcos. We now have a small window mounted AC unit and we are running the 1k HPS at night to keep temps up a little as it is starting to get cold now. If it gets real hot in the day, we have to AC so everything should be OK as far as the temps now. Running the light at night is working a lot better.

Your set up looks just like mine. Do you live in an APT or house down there? I see you are venting your light outside thru the window. I just constructed a phlange and am venting the sxhaust for the room and the lamp into the heating vents that are in the house.

Hey Dusto2k3, whats up!? Sounds like you had a nice harvest there, I would be happy with that! Are you going to do a log on the current grow?

As you can see my plans changed a bit along the way. Multiple big 125w CFLs are hot, I don't care what anyone says and I just couldnt get good ventilation in the closet. So I got the hydro mini and patterned it after yours to a large part and went right to a 400w HID. After battling the temps from the CFLs I was a little gunshy but the cooltube works fantastic and now I think I shoulda got a 600w or maybe a 1000w...the cooltube and 6" vortex easily handle that end of it. It's an HPS ballast and Ive got a Metal Halide conversion bulb in it for vegging.

So I got off to several missteps and killed a bunch of seedlings by over watering till this last group survived my brutality. I've got 9 plants from seed at about 2 1/2 weeks on their 4th nodes. One Cinderella 99, one TroubleMaker (Hindu Kush/Master Kush I think, something like that.) and the rest bagseed, some killer, some schwag. Im supposed to get some Mango clones shortly from one of our generous members here and I'll veg them all till I can sex them and cull out the weaklings. Obviously the Mango are females and the C-99 was a feminized seed so if I didn't stress it too badly it should be a female as well.

I'll start a log next weekend...my seedlings were too pathetic and embarrassing but theyve pulled through and are doing well, now that Im not drowning them!
