It really sucks to here this about anyone. Since i was born ive been around cancer, my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer and had to go threw chemotherapy and last year my dad was diagnosed with leukemia and its been an unbelievably stressful time for my entire family and all u can do is hang in there and do the best you can. Also if its possible it would be good to go to a really well known specialist like MD anderson or Moffit.
Cancer is a terrible thing that can strike any one at any time.... Mymon died from it but you can survive...Theres a guy in florida who uses the teaching of the bible to help 100's survive not only cancer but many sicknesses...Its all in what you are eating God gave us the advice of what to eat and what not to eat He did it for our health but christians say oh you dont have to do that but there ignorant...Check this guy out he has a natural way to rid your body of this....the book is called "The Makers Diet" it doesnt matter if your religious or believe in God this is your life..check out his website...http://www.gprxstore.com/info_pages/...l&parent_id=42 Remember what ever treatment you seek its still vital that you get your body back into a condition where it healthy...theres also another guy who has a body cleanse system we use his products too but he has a very specific program for those with fatal sicknesses..http://www.dr-schulze.com/home_800x600.asp
Look into these sites you can win this battle
Words are hard to find as last year I lost control of a piece of my mind, 13 months on and still battling on with very positive mind control practice.
What I am trying to say is 'look within yourself, you are strong, you can help yourself to heal by using positive mental attitude, such as meditation'.
Sorry if that sounded odd but I have tried many times to say something but it always sounded stupid or patronizing. I by no means want to sound like that so I just wrote what was in my head and I wish you well being and good fortune.
Blimey, I sound stupid today!
BE WELL, LIVE LIFE FOR YOURSELF AND SMILE! :)
Dude real sorry to hear this, and at such a young age.. this really sucks, my dad actually has gone through all the testing for lung cancer and will find out hes results tomorrow i will be praying for both of you, good luck.
Be strong and smoke carefully.
Try to fill your mind with good thoughts.
Your mind is very important for your recovering!
Good Luck!
It's been hell, but I'm finally out of the hospital, never felt so good to be home, and hitting a bowl of marijuana......I still have 4 more chemo sessions to go through, but at least struggling through the first made me stronger.....my hair started falling out and I chopped it, now I'm a bald fuck :)
Thanks for all your positive vibrations and prayers....it's no doubt that positive thinking got me through this. Take care y'all and smoke to your hearts content.
I'm sorry, man. My mom got cancer when I was really young. My two aunts have it right now but they're recovering very well and will defenitly turn out better than my mom did.
as a fellow cancer victim, all I can recommend is: go to a childrens' hospital, and look at the cancer patients that are 4 or 5 years old, then be grateful you got 23 years in ... better yet, volunteer to go in and cheer those poor kids up ...
Thanks so much for the update, THCBongman! I was hoping we'd hear from you soon. Glad you're making it through the "fire," so to speak, and that you've got your fighting spirit intact.
By the way, I happen to find bald men very sexy. Lots of women do! You'll notice just how far Lance Armstrong let his hair grow out after his treatments were over. He found a look that attracted chicks and pretty well stuck with it.
Good luck with the rest of the chemo, and please keep us updated. Much love and light to you!
Yeh, cancer evil, no joke. Especially when you're young. There's almost no reason or answer as to why. That's probably the hardest thing mentally to deal with having cancer early in life. Finding out I had cancer (squamous cell carcinoma of the tongue) after living a healthy, active lifestyle was the most confusing thing I ever could have been told. After chemo and surgery, I've found this will completely change the person I was. Loosing 95% of your tongue and having that replaced by a good portion of one's latismus dorsi doesn't leave much functionality of the mouth. I'm hoping ina year or two I'll have learned / gotten accustomed to eating normal food so I can go to restaraunts.
All you can do is accept it and fight all you can. Support helps, and after going to support groups and finding no one I can really connect with due to my agec(19) . Most cancer patients are old and have lived a life already. Let me know if I can be of any comfort, man. I understand what you're going through and know what it's like.
Take it easy.
ShrmHntr, so sorry to hear you're a cancer survivor, too. I didn't realize that. I have a sister who has a very advanced case of ovarian cancer, but she fortunately got half her life before she was diagnosed at 47. She's 51 now.
Do you mind my asking if you'd been a cigarette smoker or oral tobacco user before you were diagnosed? If not, do they have a guess why you got an oral cancer at such a young age?
The disease has a way of reorganizing your priorities real fast, doens't it? Seeing it at such close range in my sister, who lives with us, has taught me a lot about going for what I want in life. Also about loving more and criticizing less. About so many things, really.
wow man. sorry.
im sorry i only just read about this my thought are with u this cant be easy, but im sure you will fight this and put this in your past, i know many cancer sufferers and remember what dont kill you only makes you stronger. hang in there pal.
ALL THE BEST
Bongman you definetely stay positive  as much as you possibly can!! Stress really can make your immune system worse. I have had female cancer and they say they have or think they have got it all.. but that it can keep coming back... Unfortunately I just lost my mom to lung cancer last March and yes I know the treatments can be rough....They caught her cancer in the late stages (Stage 3) and she had to go thru 9 weeks of radiation and chemo. Unfortunately I lost her in her 9th week of treatment.. I thought I knew about cancer and how rough it could be for people but I didnt know shit until it happened to my mother... My thoughts and prayers are definetely with you , and remeber just try to stay positive and make the most out of life, I know it is easy for me to say but it is the best advice I know to give.. Stay strong :)
Why cancer at 23? Why did I get cancer at 13? Man do I know how awful cancer is. I'm STILL going to childrens hospital every other month for shit. I had hodgekins lymphoma and I lost my hair, had chemo and radiation for about a year and a half every day, skip a day come back and do it again. Every day i'd have to lay in bed and watch children who were 4 and 5 years old run around after getting surgeries, unaware that they were gonna die, and watching their parents go through it. skip a day come back and do it again. Now it's been 3 years and i'm in remission. Its funny how no one thinks it will happen to them but little do they know that 1 outa 3 people will die of some sort of cancer. Good luck man, cancer made me a stronger person. Oh and don't let anyone make you feel like some weak and helpless victim because it could be alot worse.
Just something I thought I'd add here, studies have shown that the anti-oxidants from Roobos Green Tea, Blueberries, strawberries, and especially rasberries can destroy cancer cells, and slow its progression by preventing cell mutation.
Bong Man....Be tough. Glad your at home chillin
I hate saying that damn 'C' word. I sincerely hope you get better man and live till 90. Get better soon ok?
THCbongman, there's actually a good deal more hope than you know. Do some research on healthy lifestyles to slow or prevent cancer, do whatever it takes for a clear, calm, and happy mind, and you'd be surprised what you can overcome. But more significantly, there's been quite a cancer breakthrough lately that could save a lot of people, yourself included. Some scientific institution, I forget which one, has said they've managed to program a virus that reprogrammes your macrophages to attack cancer cells. It's only in the preliminary stages, but they've said they expect it to be perfected within 4-5 months.
cancer isn't a death-sentence anymore my good man, hang in there, be strong, do whatever it takes, and you'll make it.
Mind over matter.
Mr. Devious, is this related to the information you were speaking of about activating macrophages to slow or stop cancer?
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/q...&dopt=Abstract
If not, I'm interested in any links you can provide to the information you mentioned. I'd like to read more. I strongly suspect that perfecting that process within 4 - 5 months may be a bit of an overstatement, but perhaps you simply meant perfecting it in the investigating lab instead of perfecting it as a process. Thanks for whatever further info you can provide!
Na. Never smoked a cigarette in my life. Or chewed tobacco. That's just one more "perk" to my cancer is that no one has any idea why.Quote:

Keep in mind though that cancer is a complex thing which may not be "cureable" by this, but maybe some types will be cured and/or at least reduced.
thc, damn man, 23!? i hope you beat it, i have some religeous friends and i will ask them to pray for you. dont die man. i dont know what else to say except that really sucks and if you beat it, you can hold your head up high and say "my balls were out to kill me and i won! alallalalalalalalala!!!!!!!!!!" by tescular you mean testicular cancer, right?
Yup, Testicular Cancer, caught in the advanced stages, although none of the cancer made it to my brain, just my nut, kidney, and lung traces. I'm confident I'll make it, I can only get better from this point. I'm sick of being frickin' tired all the time and I could get my energy back. At least I'm fortunate to have lived 23 years cancer free. It's hard to imagine it's more devastating mentally and physically for those that contract cancer younger, and I don't feel so bad for myself. Thanks for the good wishes and insight from all of you. I gotta keep on fighting, that's all I can do. The cannabis really helps with the pain, nausea, appetite, and overall well-being.
