damn I am wondering the same thing as mingles. How the fuck are you living on these piss poor wages? That doesnt even pay bills.
It varies between 29-38/ hr. with time and a half and double time in the summer.
It wasnt easy to get here as I started in my occupation working for $5/hr when younger and scraping to get by.

Then i work and make what 7.50 an hour which is ok, but before i was making tons of money Delivering pizzas. I make $300 every 2 weeks but b4 i was making about $500 in two weeks and thats only in tips, then a paycheck for $250...it was nice. So since i dont have to pay for much, i spend my money on food, clothes, weed, car, and whatever i can manage during the budget of that day.
I make 8.50 ph at my part time job...I love my job though, its a family thing so I get to take my baby with me...very casual, 3 days a week.
My man is the main bread winner...its well over twice what I make...not sure exactly, as his wages include benefits...we do ok

I do have to say though that if the average poster were a 38 year old part-time mcdonald's worker living in her parents' basement, then I'd agree with you.
i make about 550 a week after taxes, health/vision/dental insurance, IRS payments...i'm on salary and never really work more than 40 hrs a week
I make the equilvalent of 21.50/hr, I get paid salary. It's pretty nice, considering I don't have to put much effort to be very productive :P

Get into a utility. Everyone is always going to need and/or want things like lights, phones, cable, gas, water. The company may change hands and do other odd things (hopefully not 'Enron') but its usually a pretty steady employment situation...usually. That or public service...bus driver, subway conductor. Hell, if you want to make some SERIOUS moolah, you move down here and work offshore...oil rigs, research rigs, and the like. It's some hard work though.Quote:

Stay in school kids, and get a degree. Get a couple of them if you can. It will benefit you in the long run.
23$/hr Bio-Tech company
$7 an hour at the dollar store.
Well I'm only 17 right now so $7/hr is expected...I work at a place called Skyline Chili making food and running drive-thru. Just about everyone there smokes and its real chill.
Skyline Chili is where they have Cincinnati Chili, right? I love that stuff. We can only get it here in Texas if we make it, and no one can really make it very well.
$0 an hour, i dont got a job
5 buck every 24 hours, (don't have a job)
man i work about 3-4 days a week and bring home about 200-400 at the end of the week. i pour concrete it's hard shit, but i only work like 1 full day a week then a couple half days. i dont really get paid by the hour, but it would average out to about 20-25 an hour.
I have two jobs. One making about $1500.00 per event. I normally do two or three events per week from March until November. I have another job making, well it's salary but it comes out to $12.00/hour and I work 40 hours per week...summers off.
