there should be a headshop in every mall in my opinion.that way middle america gets to see reality instead of hiding behind their rose colored glasses.I don't go to malls, but no matter I still like the idea.

Remember, KZEW in Dallas? Where all the "heads" were dialed in.
Had a Zew Freak sticker on my rear window.A Bizarre elephant, with speakers for ears... It might as well have been neon.....for stoner.

Oh, gosh yes I was into the Zoo. It was by far the best rock station DFW has ever had. I was so sad when it shut down. KZPS and the Bone don't hold a candle to KZEW in it's prime.Quote:

Still has the K ZEW shipping label.......... I have to laugh.
There were no heads shops in Plano where I went to school, we drove to Greenville Rd. as I recall. Moved out of state, right out of high school. I didn't come back until mid 80's.
I could always list the puzzle on eBay, maybe some executive, previous ZEW Freak would spend big money, stranger things have happened on eBay. I can just see it. Some top exec. with a K ZEW search saved on "My eBay".
Good to hear from you onward, when work settles down in the fall, I'd like to catch up. Hope things are well.
There's a good place in McKinney, 380 and the 75 next to target.
anyone know any good head shops in S.A. ???
Im new to the area and trying to get my roots set...
and yea I keep hearing there is a headshop in college station but I cant find it anywhere.. and i hate asking around about that kinda stuff :)
There is a pretty new headshop in Denton on the corner of Carroll and Sherman Dr... or at least I think it's new cuz I never noticed it there before. Bigger than Zebra Head and the Denton Mall one.
HOUSTON 420 IN houston texas HELL yeah..
Btw my name is houston thats what is so great :)
i have a friend named dallas
I found a new retro-revolution today on greenville avenue across from where the old arcadia theatre was.just opened a couple of weeks ago they told me.they had all they great gear that they have at the north central location, only ya don't have to go cross-town to get there.cool people, normal prices, all the usual gear.
new retro revolution huh? I'll have to check that out. If you're looking for rock bottom prices on a piece the place to go is Public Wholesale in shoppers alley on harry hines. It's near harry hines and denton drive and it can be hard to find because it is literally in an alley with a bunch of import stores. selection is a bit small, but they are cheap. It's definately the place to go if you just want pipe parts, because they will be the cheapest, at least in my experience. A standard sized downstem there was $3 last year.
high times on bellaire in houston is right across the street from my school. me and my friend will go over there and look at pipes and bongs and stuff after school sometimes.
i meant on harry hines and forest ln. i don't even know if denton and harry hines intersect. i'm pretty horrible with directions, and i've lived here my whole life.
Yo, I tried to find that Public Wholesale and could'nt find it, but I found Texas Imports on Emrald just north of Royal and it wasnt to bad. Still need a good reliable hookup so.....Hola at the Dude!
I went to the old Retro Revolution and they gave me a discount card for 10% off at the new store. If you're gonna make a pricey buy, you might want to go by and see if you can get one. Every little bit helps.
These are the most helpful and friendly folks, I've found in this business around DFW. You should give them a try.
B$mp
Hey, anyone in the DFW area know a good headshop to get a nice hookah and vape from? I saw some nice 4 person hookahs on Ebay but I'd prefer to buy one that I can see in person first.
fanclerks "The Gaspipe" has them
i bought my first piece ever at mr gaspipe.. it was a 2 ft green star with ice catcher, glass on glass.
loved that thing, it was in the one i believe right off of the 75.
Sound Revolutions on 1960.
Everyone should go there. The Owners/workers are all super nice :)
bump
Hey there is a place called the Rage store at belt line and 35. I remember seeing a whole bunch of hookas and stuff in there. 1104 E. Beltline #112,
Carrollton, tx is their address. They are pretty cool too.
Anyone know if there is a store in Plano, other than Retro on Central?
Onward!
Sorry bro I don't know of any over that way!

Sunrise Records on 11th street in Beaumont has got all the goods...
I don't go to the head shop often the closest one to me is evolution, but I have to get other people to buy me stuff from there because I'm under 18. Although one shop at the Pasadena Indoor Flea has bongs, hookas, and pipes along with swords and shit and they sell to under 18 as they are "novelty items" that function
Found a cool new shop to check out in SA, they have the gear at really good prices. Planet K sent me to them believe it or not. It's not a head shop but more of a couples store that has the goods.:pimp: Check it out. They are called Texxxas Nights on the corner of Wurzbach Rd. & Evers.
thanks for the tip 420SATX.always nice to know where to go when your outta yer own zone, ya know?
I was at the mall yesterday and the Oddisee Shop is closed... :( There could be something cool coming there though, because the windows had black plastic with Indian headdresses on display stands... or maybe just a tobacconist...
I liked the oddisee shop because it was very clean and friendly, and for the longest time I just thought they sold posters and bumper stickers and incense... I even walked in and didn't notice the pipes. But then a friend took me to get my first piece... (I love you Blue!) And I was like "I didn't know this was a HEAD SHOP!!!" And everyone started freaking out, I think the parents and kids in the playground heard it, lol.
^^^ stoble I was just at that headshop. It's called Easy's Smoke Shop. They are HUGE!!! Full selection of PHIRE, whip-its, salvia, scales, loads and loads of glass. Prices seemed decent for the scales, they range between $35 and $45 on the lower end (MyWeigh axe etc.) Does anyone know what prices should be paid for scales? I have just been comparing to some different websites since they are few and far between in the brick-and-mortar world.
I just went to the one in McKinney by Target. It's called Smokin' Glassworks. They had a decent selection, one odd thing though, you have to show the guy an ID to go through a leather curtain to see the pipes... reminded me of a strip club or something. lol. They have a myspace under the name smokin_glassworks telling their sales and specials.
Smokin Glassworks is my favorite store in the DFW. I'm a glass blower I sell them alot of work. Here is a piece that I sold recently. Its sold so its not for sale.
That looks very sweet, ech! +rep! BTW, do you ever do demonstrations of your work? I'd love to watch the process unfold! (Something I'd really like to do is learn lampworking, I just have to scrimp and save every penny right now to pay the bills though, lol) BTW, where Oddisee Shop used to be in Golden Triangle Mall, I was there earlier today and they had the curtains cracked open a bit. It was Indian Crafts. The sign said "Pottery, Kachina Dolls, Warbonnets and more... Straight from the Reservation to you!" It looked corny as all getout. Is Indian the PC term now? Cause that's the word they used...
