I know some of these arn't specific jobs, but they are areas you could go into...

As for wether you should drop out or not....at the end of the day it's up to you, do you what you think will make you happy...but you wont really ever know what you missed out on....
so wither way you will always look back on your life and ask "what if?"

Finish school. It can't hurt you in any way. But without the degree you have basically wasted 3 years and will still be considered only a HS graduate. My best friend was a translator for the UN and had a ball. She traveled all over the country for free, met a ton of people and now has a great job with the Gov't in its Protocol Dept.

perhaps i'm wrong about this... but you should of made this decision within the first year or so... i mean you've already put 3 years worth the time, money and heart into it, why stop now? that's about all the input i have, i mean if you're not happy, shit needs to change. with all that said i come back to my point, you've already put 3 years worth the work in it, seems kind of pointless to of done all that then want to quit on the last 1/4 mile of it all.. this whole thing could be compared to throwing away a winning lottery ticket... but a bit diffrent concept... like, you have the ticket with all 6 numbers in your hand, you got the first five right, have to get all 6 to win, then you have the choice to choose between giving up, or putting in more work/money to see if you won... if you do try to go for the sixth you may lose your time/money... but you wouldn't ever know until you took the chance.

I'm having enough fun with my real dreams. The night before last I had a dream that I took like 8 hits of acid and started tripping balls (never tried it in real life but it seemed fun). And then I had a lucid dream where I was able to fly really really fast. Turns out all you have to do is start running and then lift up your legs.

It was illegalized a very time ago, I'm pretty sure not even one member here was born when it was legal, much less, have anything to do with why it was illegalized in the first place.

1) I really can't get where you get this idea that I'm selfish. I'm a fucking communist. If there's anything I want to get rid of in this world, it's greed.

You remind me a lot of myself when I was in college not long ago. I was an English major and wanted to be a high school English teacher. That plan fell through when I was taking a student teacher practicum and realized that most English teachers began as idealists like me, but soon gave up on a lot of their own principals once the reality of having to teach high schoolers set in. I didn't want to be like that!! Still, I had enough credits under my belt to complete the major, which I did eventually. Soon after, I discovered the theatre program at my school and it was like a light went on...I finally found what truly excited me and that semester studying theatre was the best of my life. I feel like that was when I truly found myself.
So now I'm rambling about my own life, but my point is that your life is what you make it. You know what's best for you. Perhaps taking a year off will do you some good and make you happier. You should expand your realm of experience, travel maybe, take a road trip, and meet new people. Maybe you'll find what you're looking for that isn't in the classroom. And you know what? You can always go back to school and finish up your degree later.
Sometimes I feel like I should have taken a year off myself to reevaluate my life. I would have saved me some money. My student loans have put me $50,000 in debt and now I'm struggling to find a way to pay them off. I'm not bitter or anything because that one semester of theatre was worth it all. But you should do what you like. Good luck! :cool:
