any of y'all ever get that "hash" that was nothing more than ground up stems and karo syrup? used to see it all the time, wouldn't get you high even back in the neophyte days! i made a 1.5 hour trip this morning to smoke three bowls with my best friend and visit for an hour. hopefully the dry spell will be over by the weekend and i'll be able to find a bag. how about a reliable mailorder? any help??? or [email protected]
I must be more out of touch that I thought since the majority of my friends these days are not in to this "hobby". I've never heard of such a thing as stem dust and corn syrup and the only bad hash I ever came across was home made with a late 1970's device called an Isomerizer.Quote:

It really can make you feel old on here at times ;) . Anyway I am 44 old granny who has been smoking cannabis since I was 18 and growing my own since 1998 :)
Oh by the way I saw you're thread with the Bonsai tree pic, what a really super little tree :)
love mand xxx :)
Hi Mand,
I'm amazed they haven't moved or deleted this thread yet. Is that you in your avatar? You wear your age very very well. (plus I'm a sucker for UK accents)
I have 2 20yr old sons and a 17yr old daughter and am in no hurry to be a grandpa just yet. Then again, it would be kinda cool. And thanks for the compliment about the tree. Like I said, I almost wish I hadn't sold it.
I know what you mean about this board and the average age. But someone has to teach these kids. Might as well be us.
Hello again B :) Hmmm they probably think it's not doing any harm here so why move it ...................... oh dear "THEY" it sounds kinda sinister ;)
Yes that's me in my avatar but it's all "slap and light" love, no trickery I just take advantage of artifical means ............... all us girls over a certain age do it :o
I have three children as well a daughter 24, and two sons 20 and 22. It is my daughter who has provided me with a lovely little grandson, I'm affraid my sons are in no rush to repeat that however .................... there to busy enjoying themselves :)
Ah the youngsters on here  , I tend to hang around and post in the Indoor growing section mainly and I have to say they are a really great bunch :)
As for the accents, well I was chating over the internet a while ago with someone from the US and they were telling me that over there you would have to travel a good few hundred miles or so to detect any noticable change in accent. Well over here you just have to travel 20 -30 miles and you have a hard time understanding what they are saying ;)
love mand xxx :)
That's true. the differences between say Liverpool and downtown london or the famed cockney accent are amazing. But then again, we're a lot more spread out than you. I know a bit about the "trade" secrets of you girls. My wife is naturally blonde but has been more of a light auburn for the last few years. Just glad I'm a male and don't have to mess with all of that.
BTW, how old is the little demon?
He is just a "tad" over three years old now. It was his birthday last month and I had to watch with amazment as he ripped open his presents and then just causually tossed it aside so he could move on to the next one ..................... yes he is spoilt a little I'm affraid.
I have dropped the odd hint or two to my daughter that if he had a few little brothers or sisters then he wouldn't be the centre of attenton, but that suggestion seems to be falling on deaf ears ;)
Hmmm I think that is so unfair ;) a guy goes out all he has to do is put on a pair of trousers and a shirt, brush his hair and that's it, he's finished and ready.
I have to admit though I am more of a comfort dresser myself, a pair of jeans and a jumper or jogging bottoms and a sweatshirt and I'm happy :)
Although sometimes I do feel obliged to make an effort. I went to a Christmas party last Saturday and it took forever to get ready and I am still crippled with sore feet from wearing high heels :( and I've got another one to go to at the end of this week
Oh I notice that at the begining of the thread you say you're having trouble finding any cannabis .................... Honestly B, grow you're own if I can do it anyone can ;)
love mand xxx :)
I would if I could hon but the missus would take a dim view of that. She went shiite catholic on me about 15 years ago and doesn't approve of such things as cannabis anymore.
3 yr olds are so cute. I have a nephew who's 4 now and damned clever. He now has a 1yr old baby brother as well whom I have not met yet but will in about a week. Going to visit my folks for new years and my sis and her kids will be ther.
should be fun.
I was thinking of trying out the lowrider strain though. much easier to conceal and such and based on what I've heard, very tolerant of extremes so I might stick a couple in the rafters of my cold frame sometime in late feb or early march. Just to see what happens.
my ex-wife wasn't down with the cannabis thing but my new wife is. she suffers from MS so she benefits more from toking than just getting the head right. i too feel out of place here, especially when i read posts by that guy "da haze meister". were we that annoying back then? i also have an attic garden, have six little seedlings showing themselves quite well. i hope at least one is female. we'll see in a few weeks when the start showing their veggie genitalia.
Yes, we were that annoying.
there seems to be a split on the site...half old time tokers wanting to connect and have a few laughs and the other half juvenile crackers who smoke catnip and think they are gangstas....maybe i am just getting old ..did any of you grow up with "pot ethics" you know...don't gum the joint...never apporach a dealer without a referral, never hoard pot or the pot gods will issue a dry plauge on your town, never bring a noobie to a party if they aren't willing to hit the j, squealing is for ned beatty, never pinch without dirfect permission etc......back then you had to jump through some hoops to get "made".......oh well back to the bong
43 years on this planet, the last 26 tokin and the last 15 as a full time toker.
Slayer I like your style.Ethics are good
Good one on the Ned Beatty reference. I remember the old pot etiquette. It's still around to some degree. At least for us old folks. I can't say as I spend a lot of time partying with the younguns since most of my friends are my age. And most of them are not smokers either.
Hello Again "B" :) That's such a shame that you're other half is against you're growing ......................... Hmmm marriage :o I can vividly remember what that was like that's why I value my independence so highly now ;)
I wouldn't take too much notice of me "B" when the subject of being married comes up, I was married to one of lifes great losers :o
Anyway isn't also a shame when it comes to reaching a certain age and all of a sudden we find ourselves to be classed as "old fogies"
Although I do remember what I was like as a teenager and I do find some of the posts kinda amusing to read, there was one a little while ago in which a lad wrote a thread complaining that is mum was so unfair because she wouldn't allow him to go out with his friends untill he did his homework.
The things that seem such a major drama at that age
Also if you get the chance to do a little outside crop just be carefull you're missus doesn't find out ;)
My first ever grow was an outside one and it was quite a decent little one as well. I cleared a little patch in the garden, prepared it with some compost and a bit of horse muck. I started the plants in the window around mid April and planted them out at the begining of May and hrvested them at the begining of October. It was all simplicity itself, however I did lose a few buds to a touch of bud rot due to the damp weather we have over here at the begining of Autum.
I would love to do another one but for security I'll stick with indoor grows ;)
love mand xxx :)
hey all...got my internet back after 2 weeks...im 40
Don't get me wrong. She's a wonderful woman and has been a great wife (not that I have anyone to compare to) and a great mom to the kids. But she doesn't even approve of me smoking cigs (faggs to you brit folk) much less reefer. For sure once all the kids move out, (one down, two to go) I will be growing whether she likes it or not. I'm pretty sure she would neither leave nor would she call the cops. She used to smoke but being a mom and, as I said a shiite catholic, she gave it up a long time ago.
I remember before we had the kids I had about 6 plants growing under flourexcents in our little apartment. Then her folks came to visit and we had to get rid of them in panic mode. Looking back it was kind of funny. Since there was no place to put them I had to kill them before they had a chance to flower.
Hung them up in a little attic area above our bedroom. But she never goes in the cold frame so there probably would be no problem and there's just enough room up there for those little lowrider plants.
I'm over 40 and yes, pot ethics exist - for us fogies anyway. I'll bet the youngins haven't a clue about the Ned Beatty reference. I aint squealin' but I sure am laughing my ass off!!! Well done! I think the only reason to hoard the pot is if it's your medicine. I wouldn't give my friends a celexa or prozac that's for damn sure! We aren't getting old, some of us either didn't teach our youngins proper manners or the youngins refuse to listen these days. "Smoke catnip and think they are gangstas" - Slayergirl that's a keen and sharp sense of humour. I'm still laughing. Thanks for sharing your wit with us.
Poor Ned, I think that scene pretty much did in his movie career. He spent most of his career doing theatre after that. Then he did the Superman movie and still he want back to the stage. Maybe he just liked it better.
don't forget that ned beatty played sheriff jc connors in the burt reynolds movie "white lightning". what a great role for him.
as for the "younguns" what is up with the way they write nowadays? no punctuation, run on sentences and horrible misspelling. also, why do they sometimes try to be "OG" (original gangster) and write like this.....yO my hoMieZ
goNna GivE a ShoUt oUt To lil' Jon aNd wE iS GoNna cRaNk DaT cRunK sHit.
i sound like robert d raiford...crumudgeon at large!
next birthday if I'm ever wanted by the cops I will be described as mid to late thirtie. What a fecking though
It's called public school. You can't correct their grammar, spelling, or punctuation because it might hurt their feelings and damage their self esteem.Quote:
