I get what you are saying but I look at it differently.

When I chose my screen name I looked at it a few different ways, Likemclever, LikemClever, and likemclever.

I went with likemclever because I found it more visually appealing. (Straight lines with better flow type of thing.) I like to make my posts look nice. I also like punctuation and grammar but I donâ??t insist upon it. Iâ??m mostly interested in the thought process behind the writing.

It seems to me that I go through phases with my punctuation. I went through a semicolon period that was fucking wild. And Iâ??m still a big fan of the â?¦..

I can be a gramar nazi in the -worst- way, especially over text speak, and sticky caps. I'd hate to see my real name; Cerys, written without a capital, and seeing sentences beginning with a lower case letter often makes me twitch. Seeing the words I; I'm; I've etc... written as i; im; ive is also really annoying.

As for my screen name, I'm undecided. While I like "Pixi" when it has a capital letter, I don't know about "psychopixi". Most of me goes "eek, capitalise the first letter" but a small part of me figures that "it's only a screen name, and it looks better with a lowercase letter".

But if you exercise those skills, it makes you look more insightful, respectable and is good practice for when needing to use them for important work. This site has helped me a lot, wen i used 2 type like this on msn, wen it came 2 writin prply for skool and shit i found it hard to do. So this site has helped me, as typing proper like this is now second nature, and I don't need to think about it anymore :)

Well, what I meant was I try to type properly, but I just don't get on other people's case about it. I used to be an AOLer, and you'll meet hundreds of people who seemed to have stopped paying attention to their English lessons in fourth grade.

i also used 2 type like this, u kno

Then I started using apostrophes to make up for the missing letters:

My current typing seems to be a mixture of proper English and how I would speak in real life.
