yeah... except i have to BUY a program before i can MOD Half Life 2... :(

so i downlaoded the SDK, and all i get is a map editer, and find out that i need a PURCHASED program to mod, and i have NO MONEY.

i can make pretty decent maps though :D i also had previous experiance with Hammer map editer, back when it was Worldcraft, and Quake 2 was popular...


but im glad i had exp. with a bad editer first, Hammer is a lot easier to work with, even though nothing's really ant different, it's just more effective...



i'd recreated my house... poorly, i didnt have the floor plans, things were out of proportion, but it still looked almost identical, save for the textures used...


if ANYONE can mod "for me" i will make maps for you! :D

I voted for "I know programming languages" cause I do, and I'm taking a CompSci degree, but I really don't think I'm all that good over all.

i picked the first one because i thought html was considered coding, but im not quite sure :confused: i dont know any other coding because im only in high school

HTML is somewhat of a programming language I suppose - the proper term for it would be a scripting language. HTML is a script. That and QBasic were actually the first languages I learned back in jr. high. I didn't learn any languages in school. I have tons of books, and when those aren't coming in handy, a google search is all you need. Everything you could possibly need/want to know about computers is on the internet. If you're seriously considering becoming a skilled programmer, you're going to first need to be able to understand the potential of google and/or your favorite search engine, and obtain the skills necessary for finding the exact information you're looking for.
