I really don't know. Can you tell me?
Another story of "three sheets to the wind" , they are referring to wind mills. There are four wooden blades that sheets are pulled down to catch the wind, two if its real windy and four when its not, always distributed evenly. If you were to pull three sheets down the blades the wind mill would wobble and be off balance. my 2 cents
Hmmm, the name stuck with me ever since first school when i used to stuff cotton balls in my mouth just for kicks...the kids in the playground would call out 'hey here comes cotton mouth sara' whenever i walked past them. So it kinda just started from there.
Im kidding;) Its pretty obvious what my name implies!

Usually Frank and whoever he introduced me to as Penguin.
Oh, Beachguy, Lateralus was asking a valid question. Calm down. He wanted to know which definition of thong you meant.
well one evening some guy was trying to think of a name to enter as his user name for this new website he had found and in a bit of frustration he thought to himself the title of the next song that comes on will be my username.....and it just so happened purplehaze by hendrix was that song so he entered it and someone had it, so he entered purplehaze420 and again someone had it, so going out on a limb he entered 420purplehaze420 and here i am now
Thanks man.. I have NO idea where that hostility came from.Quote:

When I was playing Counter-Strike when I was 12 or so I wanted a cool name. I wanted to blow things up, so my alias was Demolition. I had been playing for a while and saw a regular playing a while and his name was Llama Commando. I thought it was neat so I kept the Demo part = Demo Commando. I used it since I was 13-14 and now every account everywhere I have is DemoCommando. Now my friends even call me Demo now and then. It's brilliant.

Fengzi, are you a Deadhead or did you just like the art in your avatar? At any rate that is some art from the Grateful Dead's Europe '72 CD. Just a FYI for 3 sheets in case he did not know...
My name is the title of a Neil Young/Crazyhorse song. Here is the story:
I was in high school and living in Memphis, in the states. All of my friends and I would go downtown every friday after school after stopping by a liquor store that sold to minors. we would party in a parking garage and drink and smoke for hours, basically tailgating (partying next to/on the "tailgate" of your cars) and then roaming the streets of downtown raging in the night. we would rock this tape of Neil young/Crazyhorse called Weld. It is awesome rock/feedback music that, if you dig that type of music, I reccomend checking out. Heyheymymy is one of the songs. A line in this song goes: hey hey, my my, Rock and roll will never die! Well this line struck a chord in me, as an aspiring guitar player, and I quickly learned and rocked the tune on my own.
Fast forward to the end of the school year. I go to this 3 day camping/music festival on a farm in middle TN every June since 2002. It draws at least 70,000 fans every year and has a great linup of artists. in 2003, all of my friends and I were really getting into Neil Young. All of the sudden the Festival website updates, saying Neil Young/Crazy horse will headline the first night!!! we were so excited.
Fast forward to The weekend of said festival. We are all heading into Neil Young on Friday night (it happened to be friday the 13th). and well you know I had been drinking all day in the serious heat, smoking pot like it was going outa style, and a dude camping near us gave us free Oregon Mushrooms. So after the kid koala DJ set that opened, neil comes out, I drop some white Fluff(head) acid, chomp more shrooms, and get ready to rock. the 4th song of the night, heyheymymy rocks hard. I am going crazy, Neil Young is crazy, everything is awesome. leaving that show (which was and still is one of my fav expierences of all time, and I go to many concerts/festivals) I was shaking. IT. WAS. AWESOME.
so long story short, the song rocks, and Neil Young rocks.
EDIT: the festival is Bonnaroo (www.bonnaroo.com). I have gone every year since 2002, the first one. I have seen such good music, a short list of highlights, but not all the shows I have seen there, would include the following:
Neil Young/Crazyhorse
Bob Dylan
Joss Stone
Herbie Hancock
Keller Williams
Allman Brothers Band
Trey Anastasio
Widespread Panic
Moe.
De La Soul
J5
Mars Volta
Secret Machine
The Dead
STS9
Robert Randolph
Ween
Primus/Les Claypool
Glactic
James Brown
Phil Lesh & friends w Bob Weir
Karl Denson
Flaming Lips
Wailers
Sonic Youth
Steve Winwood
Doc Watson
R.L. Burnside
Wilco
Ani Difranco
Black Crowes
David Byrne
Etc......
Yep, big time DeadHead. I started going to Dead shows back 1985 when I was 15. Between then and '95 I ended up going to 35-40 GD shows and about 20 Jerry Band shows. Not that many compared to some folks I know but I'm glad I had the chance to go to any of them. Damn, I miss the good old days.Quote:

well good to see what everyone's name means
my name comes from an R&b group loose ends. if i remember correctly they're from england and did some funky stuff back in the 80's.

i live in the san fernando valley, and i hate it, and it will be the death of me. though now i kinda find it endearing in a weird way, but i still mostly can't stand valley people. thoughi do a killer 'valley girl' impersonation. now that i think about it, i think they should bury me at the sherman oaks galleria (of 1980something Valley Girls fame) because it'd be totally ironic and i'd haunt it. and yeah, also kinda ripped of the Death By Stereo name.
Oneironaut comes from the Greek roots for "explorer of dreams". It was coined by lucid dreamer and sleep researcher Stephen LaBerge to describe lucid dreamers. As I'm pretty good at lucid dreaming, and it's the most enjoyable thing I've ever done, I decided to name myself after it.
sobriquet:
1. An affectionate or humorous nickname.
2. An assumed name.
bascially, my nickname means..nickname.
