you should really be thankful for still having a dad. i just lost mine a year ago, and absolutely nothing has been the same. i pretty much lost everything i owned and knew when he left. my brother took everything my dad owned pretty much so i dont have anything to remember him by. but luckily i did get is dining room table and chairs and his couches but that it. no shirts, hats, none of the things he had in the other parts of his house, nothing.

i would give everything i have kill anyone i had to just to get him back. i wouldn't even care if he acted the same i just want to hug him one more time and tell him i love him.

just dont take for granted what you have still being able to see your parents. one day when there not there your going to wish you did so much differently.

well my dad wasnt much of great guy in my early life, he was a really big drug dealer, and right before i was born he left my moms, and didnt give her shit either, i mean he was loaded but would give jack to us, making us strugglewhen i was younger, but when i got older, he became a born again christian, and turned out to be not so bad of a guy, just some who made alotta mistakes, but dont everyone, and now last saturday, he got into a really big accident, he flipped his truck, and flew out of the window, and he was pretty fucked up, he even had to get reconstructive surgery, but when the cops first found him on the side of the road, he ws standing against his truck, and breathing on his own, he had only broken a vertibra in his neck, and broke 2 disks in his back, and almost lost his eye, the doctors said if it were a milimeter close he might of lost his left eye, then again they also siad it wsa a miracle he alive, but today they took the tube out of him, and he can move his toes, so thier is good hope, but even though it was bad in the begging , he differnt now, he a person i love, some one im proud to call my father,and i pray for him every night, but all i wanna say is even if your dad is a dick, he the only dad you got,and you should love him for that, becuase you never kno how lucky you are to say i have a dad, until you dont have one, and i figure this accident show, someone can leave you an a instant, so you must cherrish every moment you have a fatherly son/daughter moment.

Yeah, I was drinking on my new anti-depressants for the first time and he pissed me off and they had a bad reaction and it made me flip and we started bitching and then I started swinging.....

Second time was sober, he pissed me off and I wanted to take him on so he said ok u talk too much shit. You'd b laid out in one punch so I went up to him and he pushed me and I pushed him into the counter and then he did the same and I hit him in the stomache and then he started grabbing my hair or some shit trying to get me to the ground so I started swinging and then he tried kicking me in the stomache so I smashed this ceramic candle thing over his head. Then it stopped just a little more bitching.

oh yeah BTW i love my dad...just made him feel guilty for being to scared to call me for months and months, he brought it upon himself.

I really like my dad. I mean he'd probably ground me if he knew i was smoking weed but that's just out of concern for my well-being. He's a pretty nice guy, having put me through private school for my entire life.

My dad (if i can call him that) only hit me the once...damn he didnt make that mistake again. I remember i must've been around 14, 15 at the time and came home from my mates sooo sooo drunk. As u do when u r young! Id forgotten that we were meant to be going out for a family outing. My mum took one look at me said go and talk to your father...uh-oh. I used to dread those words, my old man had one hell of a temper,probably were i get mine from!Anyway my dad stumbles down stairs pissed out of his face and starts preachin about how ive let the family down. Im like WTF!! Who do you thoink you are? Your drunk as a lord, with that he punched me in the face and broke my nose. I was soo angry and drunk i did the same back. I dont now who was more suprised me or him. Man there was blood everywhere. I ran upstairs and locked myself in the bathroom, crying my eyes out, terrified that he was gonna kill me. My mum kicked him out, for abit anyway, and tried to convince me he'd gone and it was safe. But i wasnt comin out, i stayed in the all night, terrified, alone, crying rivers.
Did he hit me again? Oh no! He learnt that that this bitch bites back! Maybe theres a little of my dad in me. If i grow up to be anything like him, i'll kill myself. He has no respect for women and is out for number one.
All these folk sayin their dads have died, i feel for you, really i do. But if mine did someone would be answering my prayers. So fck u dad! :mad:

Eh, my dad's cool, we toke. My mom, I don't see much of, ever since she seemed to give up in life. I don't either of them, I just wish that my mom had made some better choices, and gave up the harder drugs that eventually fucked her life up. In any case, no hate for my pops or mums, but I feel what everyone's saying, and it's definitely good to see such closeness in this thread *tear* =P

I'm glad you hand that bond and closeness with your dad Z. I'm envious of people like you, you really don't know lucky you are to have had or have that bond. But all that aside it inspires me to be worlds best daddy when it's my time. I know what i missed out on and i can give that to mine and so much more. :)
