I am not in jail  ...just took a break from 'idiosy' :sadcrying around the world, and unfortunately, some of the members here qualify! :p One night after posting a couple of interesting topics, that were flying down the Board. I read the same stupid questions  that require the same old answers, :( that are "COVERED" in the Forums or growfaqs (and I believe we are building the best growfaqs on the WEB; (Thanks to our friend, Zandor, Bill Thick, Trichome Creator, CND411, my friend HARDDON; etc...))...so I reverted back into my own little world, to take a break. :stoned: :stoned: :stoned: I didn't feel the need to explain or have some long drawn out weepy letter as to why I was leaving...My style is to, Just leave. My whole life has been confrontational; As I have always followed the beat of my 'own' Drummer
Well thanks, Easy for pulling back out of my FUNK,...The Laboratory is OPEN...The Mad Scientist Returns!!! I also heard a rumor...A certain HARDDON has been perusing the forums...once again

Thank you

I'm waiting on beans. Got strange looks at the post office when I told them the letter was going to Amsterdam. Got strange comments from the guys at the electrical supply house when I said I was paying cash. Like, oh you're paying cash. Then we can't exchange it. Idiots. So once I get the beans I will be bugging you.

I am not sure what you are asking...In these pix, netpots hang the depth of the pots...Netpots-available at any hydro store online/or local...they were designed or are sometimes called "Orchid Pots"
In this system pots hang from the top and get sprayed with sprinklers. In this method your reservoir can be as shallow as 4-5 inches...
I usually grow in DWC (deep water culture) and bottom of pots hang just at or above waterline, so that the airstones creating oxygen, pop bubbles right at the bottom of netpots...hopr this helps.lw

Nope...No hard feelings...you seem knowledgable. Let's all work together to get better...After all, none of us are named Jorge...lol.:D
you will read posts and threads by me that are the wrong way to grow or there is a better method; But, I wanted to go thru, what other people had gone through and experienced 1st hand and pass it along as being true pot-lore or bullshit. It is amazing how much you learn this way.;)
I have several great books on MJ and grow veggies too.:smokin:
I subscribe to growing edge and maximum yield, and try to keep up with the new stuff...Hydro is a baby is the western world, everytime we plant a seed,
he says KILL it be-efore it gro-ows....Sorry, couldn't resist:p
...every time we plant a seed it is an experiment. Perhaps there are some true Horticulturists on these forums...some chemists...some GURU's...but, for the most part. I think we are all just a bunch of good folk, trying to grow good weed... I'm moving to Oregon to go Pro!
Welcome to Cdot, I am sure you just want to help out, the same as the rest of us, and, I would like to discuss your substrate ideas, sometimes.
Anyway, I got about 20 clones to place tonight...gotta go. lw

what kill's me K...If you have any ingenuity, then this thread could help you build a professional system using any material you choose. take the tubs out and put in beige hydro buckets and drip to waste or re-circulate...or,
run re-circulating dwc or as I set this up as aero with rotary sprinkler heads...this system worked great the way it was, But now I use it for 120 site tomato grow. It had to be set-up in a way that took too much space and when I lost my Horti-the 1st time...I lost plants to herm'. Nothing wrong with the system though, if any experienced grower,
look at the rootmass that was produced in a couple of short weeks then I would have to say...What's wrong with that?
thanks K...Maybe I should've just bought a cheap ebb and flow...read a couple of Zandor's post and limited myself to one type/method/nute regimen...like Stormcooker: and he would be happy...Of course, I wouldn't know chitman!
Anyway, I am glad I built systems and experimented. because 'my' knowledge is from growing; Not from reading advice on a forum or from a growbook; Although the forums helped at times; And after experiencing some real problems 1st hand...I did buy "the indoor bible" and a couple other books.
As I have stated many times...Hydro is in it's infancy. Systems built to this date are no more than an enterprise to be 1st on the market...any hydro system works, period...unless you don't know/can't grow Chit'!
As for people claiming that systems or methods don't work...I do not work my ass off building, experimenting and trying to mentor young growers, in order to appease or satisfy the needs of the rest of you, "Assholes" and you know (Stormy) who you are.
I hope I haven't offended any of my friends/family here at cdot with my rant...thanks for all your support, lw

Hey strom wheres your designs.
It is always easyier to cut some one down they grow things up. Just because you are making energy does not mean that it is doing anything any good. This is what sets growers apart from harvesters.
Lakewood is very humble and teachs people all the time with kind expertise. Never has he jumped in a persons thread and insulted them to up a damaged self esteem as he does not have a problem in that area. I hope one day you can find that inner happiness again Strom and pass it on to others.

The "Madman goes Aero" building thread
I remember when he was trying to grow plants through the light in his window.lol I never cut him down; I have disagreed with him...I have never gone into his thread and picked it apart...Bet I could. I haven't even read most of it due to his blatantly rude self serving statements, here. I thought the other day we reached a common area, but he assholed up once again. Oh yeah, by the way, I am smokin' some awesome chitman...that's my point, Thanks
Well, If you know nothing about plumbing and wanted to plumb your own system that is yet another use for this thread...
something else...The 2 people that have had negative impact on this thread both grow ebb and flow...simplistic!
Karmaxul...what did you call them...Harvesters? roflmao!!!
Britewire and I immediately made amends, even though I still don't follow 1/2 what he says...He tries and that is all anyone can do.
As for you Asshole...You best watch who you threaten. I'll leave it at that. Go Bigred81

nice good info.
I have never heard of NL#2 though. I hear NL#1 is from around seattle but not exactly sure. I either had NL1 or 5 we were not sure and I got them as clones for Jack herear. Are NL#2 seeds still around at seed banks?

Got them at auction over atKKnet. I got the last 7 I know of...KK said they were the last 7. I germed 3...lost 1, cloned the other 2. Got a male and a female.
I have 12 of these NL#2 cuttings in my aero24x machine*...this is 3rd generation of clones from this machine. I am glad I built it.
<<<*threadlink below>>>
I took cuttings from this Misty Blue MUM, pic...
after rooting, I put them in these trays **I am experimenting with. So far, I love the ease of operation and they can be broken down/moved real fast/easily, if need be. ph with the perlite hasn't waivered.
Misty blue clones...are in this new system, using the manifold originally made for this aero system. I just adapted (I basically just replaced the tubs and sprinklers) the manifold to these rockwool trays filled with perlite with modified recirculating drip/nft

Chill dude.
The thread is a sticky because I made it one. If you have a problem with that then you have a problem with me. I thought it was fine for new members to catch the build bug and spark questions and answers from other members.
That is what we do here.

The "Madman goes Aero" building thread
Hey Latewood,
I use a system a lot like the one you use. and the only problem i see with your thread is the time you waste bantering with fuck up's who don't know how to take free knowlegde for what it's worth. I am not going to brag i have no right to even the slightest( i have only pulled 5 crops, one good, one magical, and the 3 wallet killing fuck ups)
But I am from Canada, I know from reading and speaking to many avid smokers, whether it be soliders training at our base, or people I met in the Qwest service area. But other than washington and oregon, i have not heard a tale of people getting better weed. Please do not take offence, besides our government, i consider us one in the same, we share the same liberties for the most part, no more apologetic babble.
But I compared the stuff i got with the system similar to the pics in the first page. I did not get the harvest i wanted to, that was my own fault. But the plants that did reach maturity( using advanced nutrients ) for potentcy, using 2 strains, magic crystal and skydog, and no one could compare. Ususally a oz goes for 150-200, I had old men wanting to buy it for 300$ an oz, so they could make bubble hash.
So Latewood
Don't waste your time on fuck ups, or men who get pms when on threads designed to let people know the options available to them.
I used a system like this because i have a higher table so i can put everything under it so i can use every nook and cranny available on my ceiling for lights. and every square inch for bloom.
You can give me advise whenever you see fit, if i don't like it,maybe i did not explain well, and if i still don't like it, i won't use it. But to attack a person who shares knowledge freely, without expecting anything in return. Fuckin shit man, get a life. go whack off to let off steam, but come to a forum composed of people trying to get as much knowledge with as little searching
as possible. Some people lack character, so they need to make one online to amuse themselves, is there not forums for that?
Sorry to ramble. But i hate reading through good shit, then having to read thru a whole page of a good guy defending peoples right to get knowledge without the doing the work upfront to get the experience it would take months to get if this site was not here, then having to back track afterwards to find where i was again.
As for attacking verbally attacking families in the thread, i know this was addressed by Zandor already. but come on now who feels big, who's a big man now. fucking coward. sorry bout the profanity.

Shit i should not of soiled latewood's sticky,
sorry, at least now every one who reads it will know not to be a dink.
-
The "Madman goes Aero" building thread
thanks knowledge...this sticky is here for everyone. You didn't hurt it a bit. the notice up top was just so I could get all the posts/pix into some kind of continuity before It got run over with Q"s and A's. It was basically for the plumbing challenged...lol I don't why SC get's so passionate about things like that, but to you Sir, Thanks! lw enjoy, I adapted this plumbibg to my new tray system and I love it. modified recirculating nft/drip
The reason I built a recirculating system was because I was tired of toting all the water necessary for DWC.
I was using 60 gallons a week! later lw
-

this is a thread I linked to here because it is the same basic manifold; But I have retro-fitted a couple other systems with this plumbing...I hope you enjoy it.

FUnny you mentioned the gourmet pepper/tomato idea. I have developed a very good base of a few gourmet markets, and upscale rest's that are interested in hydro grown produce. Might do my stash grow small scale now and use the big room for all produce <scratches head>. Cant decide.

I am doing it as we speak...If you are intersted in doing some veggie grows...post the piks At indoor growers veggie society STicky at top of Indoor grow forum.
also, there is a new site called... Hygronomics.com...(homepage will give you idea of what is going on. and we are trying to build a link to the forums)...If forums button doesn't work; Then go to... Hygronomics.com/forums...
Both are pieces to the site under construction. Hygronomics is for sharing ideas on Self substantialism...veggie growing/organics... hydro...solar/wind power...politics/alternatives to fossil fuels...alternative medicine and there is going to be a general store for special parts for hydro system building and such.
go register, if you wish...All that is there now is general discussion, so If you have something to say in regards to the sites parameters, feel free to post. If it is good; Then once we get categories built-up...We will place your posts in the appropriate forum. We plan on all, learning/sharing information together. Get ready to be unplugged.
p.s. @ hygronomics, we try to watch our language a bit, so Mother's can read the forums too, thanks peace

I swear that most of the products on the market today are supported only by advertisement. So many BS supplements and misinformation out there. After watching the knowms video I have to try my own aero system.. and your info here is very good.

It looks like a good plan, but how many net pots are you going to use?The pump is a little over kill.Dont use a sink drainer cause of the metal will corrode with all the nutrients.I do like that you builded it over a bath tub,if theres leaks you got it covered. please more pixs of the grow
