Pinball Wizard's a great song but its not in my top few Who songs.
Check out one of the Grateful Dead concerts from the late 60's. You can download/stream them legally from www.archive.org.
The concert from 1/22/68 would be good to start http://www.archive.org/audio/etree-d...b.php?id=15478
Forgot my absolute favorite --
Spirit - Future Games (A Magical Kahauna Dream) - 1977
This album has a magical flow to it -- get it on CD so you don't have to flip the album (like anyone here has albums)
Can't even believe someone else heard of White Witch and their stoner anthem "It's So Nice To Be Stoned"
Hawkwind is also very trippy -- whichever album has "sonic attack" on
Also -- don't rip me too bad
Elton John - Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy
the velvet underground are amazing to listen to when your stoned
and the beatles. on vinyl of course
i don't know if eighties indie is too new for some of you, but i love it's a shame about ray album by teh lemonheads when im wasted

A great Jefferson Airplane CD is called Bless It's Pointed Little Head it was recorded live back in the late "60's and is a lot stonier than their studio stuff.
Also check out Hot Tuna, they're the original guitarist and bassist from Jefferson Airplane. Really great bluesy rock.
Neil Young is excellent.
