Well, as far as I can tell, the breeder is no longer breeding them, and in fact, never intended to. None were ever sold. Unfortnately, a bunch of bleeding hearts blew the whole thing all out of proportion.

Oh brother....they are bred all over...THAT breeder called them twisty cats and of course she would have a website saying it was blown out of proportion...before you say bleeding hearts, wouldn't it be a good idea to do a little research?

They are also called MUNCHKIN cats as the site you posted stated....and they are sold all over see....

when they breed these cats they get rejects like the ones I posted earlier...it is wrong.....

Munchkin cats and "Twisty" cats are two entirely different things. Munchkins are bred to have short, but otherwise normal legs all around, as opposed to the heavily malformed front legs of the Twisty variety.

What was that you said about research?

they were both bred from polydactls..twisty cats are the worst types...it said that in the site you posted!.... Short-legged cats have been observed several times throughout history. The historical kangaroo cats were probably early examples of the Munchkin mutation or possibly early observations of a mild degree of radial hypoplasia though the lack of mention of extra toes suggests the former rather than the latter. So-called squittens are also either longhaired cats of the Munchkin type or longhaired RH cats....

No. Kagaroos are not bred from polys. Kangaroos and twisties are again two entirely different breeds. Munchkins were derived from kagaroos, while twisties were derived from polys. I'm just trying to correct your misinformation; if you don't want to listen it's no skin off my nose.

Munchkins are a different type of mutation that does not affect the cats lives. Probably EVERY modern house cat and EVERY modern house dog has been selectively bred through mutations to be where its at. Just like WEINER DOGS.

munchkin cats just have short legs. They walk fine... maybe cant run as fast lol, but the twisted cats are the fucked up ones. No hopping or any of that nonsense.

And humans did do that... unless you think god created an exact replica of you. Do you think dwarf humans shouldn't breed? Thats basically what your saying.... I read the entire thread and you still seemed adamant that you are right and anybody who disagrees is wrong. I realize that that some people feel strongly about these kinds of things. I had hoped that with some education, they wouldn't feel quite AS bad. I do know something about this subject and was trying to share that knowledge. Apparently, I was wrong and ignorance prevails. So be it.

I don't really believe that breeding any animal to tailor them to suit your preferences is right at all, but in this case the animals are being bred to have deformities from birth, deformities which seriously effect their quality of life. I will always believe that humans and all creatures are equal, and that we have no right to try and control the natural order of things.. but usually it's relatively harmless, this time it's not.

Im not trying to argue but you say that bluecat and others are being ignorant, but arent you the one being ignorant, because the whole time all you did was try and prove that the site was fake and not even just think maybe that it was real. Which means you were being ignorant to bluecat's opioins.....i dunno just what i obvserved.

but it doesn't affect their quality of life... thats the point. The munchkins that is. I think a consensus has already been achieved for the twisty fuckers. But the munchkins live just fine. Being house cats they really have no need to run really fast anyways. And as you said, if it was humans (which it is, in the case of dwarfism) then yes I whole heartedly support a dwarf and a dwarf being able to reproduce together. To not support that is debilitating them more than their stature.

Keep up, silly penguin. We got past the reality of twisty cats, kangaroo cats and munchkins a long time ago. Yes, I've concurred that all three types do, in fact, exist. My last several posts have been pointing out the differences between the three. BlueCat was insisting that all three were forms of the same type of breed, but they are not; though there are superficial similarities, and the fact that RH may be a common factor in each.
