nope
Likemclever and nowhereman:
I'm aware it's a little extreme to blame the US for these attacks. I could have worded my frustration better.
The fact is, these attacks are a retaliation to the Iraq invasion in which we tagged along. It is also a fact that the majority of the British people opposed the war and would rather have had nothing to do with it. Furthermore, the fact is that refusing to help the US with it's own dirty work would have resulted in our (quote) "special relationship" (note the use of the word "special" as opposed to "close") with you taking a very nasty turn. The Iraq war is based solely on Bush's manipulation of America's obsessional patriotism. "If your not with us, your with the terrorists", thanks for giving us a real fucking choice there. As if we had any gripe with the extremists in the first place.
So yep, 4 years (?) on and we finally have a genuine reason to be in Iraq and help you guys. Congratulations. Just so you know nothing's gonna change.
Again, excuse my anger and frustration. Obviously it's a terrorist attack from terrorists, but it could've been avoided. I'm not hating on Americans, just your ridiculous, circus of a government and their manipulation of your pride.
A group calling itself "The Secret Organization of al-Qaida in Europe" posted a claim of responsibility for Thursday's blasts in London, saying they were in retaliation for Britain's involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The authenticity of the message could not be immediately confirmed.
The statement, which also threatened attacks in Italy and Denmark, was published on a Web site popular with Islamic militants, according to Elaph, a secular Arabic-language news Web site, and Der Spiegel magazine in Berlin, which published the text on their Web sites.
"Rejoice, Islamic nation. Rejoice, Arab world. The time has come for vengeance against the Zionist crusader government of Britain in response to the massacres Britain committed in Iraq and Afghanistan," said the statement, translated by The Associated Press in Cairo. The AP was unable to access the Web site where it was posted, which was closed quickly after the reports.
The group al-Qaida in Europe claimed responsibility for the last major terror attack in Europe: a string of bombs that hit commuter trains in Madrid, Spain in March 2004, killing 191 people. Two days after that attack, a video was found in a trash can outside a Madrid mosque with a statement purported to be from the group's spokesman, called by the nickname "Abu Dujan al Afghani."
In the new statement, the group said "the heroic mujahedeen carried out a blessed attack in London, and now Britain is burning with fear and terror, from north to south, east to west."

Four London Blasts Kill 40, Injure 300
AP - 19 minutes ago
LONDON - Three explosions rocked the London subway and one tore open a packed double-decker bus during the morning rush hour Thursday. The blasts killed at least 40, according to a U.S. law enforcement official, and injured more than 300 in what a shaken Prime Minister Tony Blair called a series of "barbaric" terrorist attacks. The U.S. official spoke on condition of anonymity because British officials have yet to make public the death toll. U.S. authorities learned of the number from their British counterparts, according to the official.
the turks are cool man chill.there are terrorist everywhere.this isnt some fad that started after 9/11.america was attacked 5 times in the 90's and did nothing and we got 9/11.
its like people think the terrorists would just stop and live happy lives if america didnt exist??they wouldnt, they will attack anyone who isnt islamic fundamentalists.
Howdy BB,
I'm all for peace too..all we have to do,is fight for it..apparently,something which you'll always depend on others to do for you..the question is,on whose terms do you want peace ? The Free World..or the terrorists ? If you go to the nearest mosque, and announce your surrender and convert to Islam, maybe you will be spared from the muslim horde. Maybe you should denounce your British citizenship, and become a French citizen..they are very well versed in how to surrender to the enemies of Freedom..and you'd be more comfortable there.
Have a good one...
if 9/11 hadnt happened,no afghanistan,no iraq war, this still would be going on.this isnt something new.america endured attack after attack in the 90's and did nothing and we got 9/11.
Honeys I heard it this morning I decided to come here first to check on everybody. Glad to read that you're ok. This fukking reeks!!!! Sorry there's not much I can do here in the states, but I'm sending mad prayers to the injured and passing.
Glad to read from ya Rob...
button basher i understand your anger at this moment but Tony could of committed resources rather then men and that would of satisfied the "with us or against us statement" hell a simple "we support you" would of been enough.
i really wish you wouldn't criticize the US's government and how it is run. there is a famous quote "he who is sinless shall cast the first stone"
Today is no day for politics. My good thoughts and prayers go out to the people of London and the entire UK. Know that your friends in the US stand with you.
In the days following 9/11/01, I was reminded of the words of Ben Franklin: "Any Nation that surrenders it's liberty for the sake of security deserves neither."
Just remember that the bombers can only kill people and blow stuff up. It is we who will destroy ourselves if we fail to respond wisely.
I wish peace and comfort to everyone effected by this tragedy.
i wouldnt worry about the Brits responding wisely.England as a country has more heart than most.
funny, how many good turks flee their homeland to find better lives in places like England and the United States.
this was an attack on the English people,on their will, the English are a good people, but when attacked, they will fuck you up.
AHHH IMA SHUT UP NOT STOOP TO THIS PRICKS LEVEL

im slighty agrivated by a few posts in this thread, when we terrorize your country, you can hate us :)
Whatever you do, don't help them achieve thier stated goal of Britain's military pull out from the middle east. That just teaches them that all you have to do is blow up a few bombs to make a much more powerful force capitulate.
Mr. Turkish guy, if Europe/non-muslims, whatever are so undeveloped, with crappy medicine and technology... why the fuck is your country so desperately trying to get into the EU? Hmmmm, maybe it's because they want to leech of of richer nations? HMMMMMMMMMMMMM!
i dont think anyone on this forum has that kind of power
that just isnt how the English take care of buisness.maybe the french.
Big Lebowski. Looks like I'm getting some mad props, whatever that means. ;)Quote:

Well, no sense in arguing or getting frustrated over something we cannot change (control) or we are not willing to change. Hopefully, this will bring people closer; not just temporarily. My heart goes out to all the victims and their friends and family.
Here come the props Bloke!
You DA MAN!!!!
I will add that to my big bag of mad props, and hope it doesn't spring a leak.Quote:

Fucken damn I said I wasn't gonna get political.
I don't live in the UK but I like Blair. Thereā??s a nice Aura about him. I think he's going to take this attack very personal. The world is sad and watching.
your gonna piss alot of people off with a comment like that, but you are right 100%.
My condolences to the persons who have been affected by this tragedy...
I truly hope you and yours are safe and sound.
And about all of the finger pointing going on here.... come on, guys. It doesn't resolve anything, and makes the person doing the pointing look like an ass. This isn't the time to be blaming anyone for anything. At least let the initial dust settle first...
your right, the people who committed these acts have already accepted the blame and are quite proud.
To the folks over in the U.K-Sorry to hear about your tragedy. I sincerely hope that all the friends and families of cannabis.com's UK members are all safe and sound.
And sorry that our President's personal agenda has helped fuel the fire that caused it.
