Do it ranger. We need you!
While I do agree that the government is certainly going forward with legalization/decriminalization with full profiteering and maximum pocket-filling benefits in mind, I also feel like I can continue my current and ALL future (small) home grows without fear of "life wrecking felony charges". It may be because I live in an area whose newspapers' Police Log sections (my FAVORITE section to read and look for people I went to school with over morning cereal!) are filled with meth, weapons, and heroin-related arrests; they are no longer as concerned with our favorite, non-habit forming plant. This is not to say that they wouldn't happily fuck my life up if I decided to fill my spare bedroom with 75-100 happily blooming plants, but I'm not going to do that (...until I become more experienced through doing with my small cabinet grows). Maybe I am naive because I have not done a big grow yet, which would make me much more paranoid.Quote:

D00G, all it takes to become paranoid is having just one fuck wad comming into your home saying, give me some pot or I'll have you busted. I never intentionally showed anybody. Its the ass holes who walk into your house without knocking & catching you tending your grow. I've been caught at it three different times. Only threatened the one time, but still..... I've never told anybody they were welcome to enter without knocking. I hate that shit! Now I'm in the habit of keeping my doors locked. But point being, paranoia can be FORCED on you very quickly! Regardless of the size of your grow.
-- Damned! I wanna go to Colorado. :(
looks so good ,I want
Quess I'm sleeping in the dog house next time.Quote:

Gotta do what you love tl. Long-term girlfriend is supportive of grow too, plus we just sold a house. Her family travels a lot I've tentatively been considering how to convince her to move. Her best friend just moved to meet some guy and take a job offer out of state and now she's dating an NBA player's manager. Btw is underground really the only practical way to grow long-term? I've been thinking a lot lately and I'm starting to think it's the only reasonable long-term option; not just for me but for just about anyone.
I'm building one right now if you want I'll make a thread today to explain what I've learned. There's a store in chicago specializing in aquaponics and I've got the owner on speed dial haha. He doesn't seem to care at all what I may be doing with all this stuff, very passionate about 'ponics this guy. Doesn't sell me crap I don't need either.
I would read that thread! I have fish tanks and would LOVE to try it but just have too much on my plate today to try it….Quote:

-- Ranger.... I want 2 bunkers. One for my grow, & one for living quarters. I need some place to contain my pissy attitude when I get this frustrated! Since MPP & NORML anounced Md is putting legalization to the vote, I've stayed online looking for more info. Nobodys putting out anymore info though. Why not? I'm on a quest for info & all I got was a tease! But should tight assed Md actually legalize, we could start a commune here! It warmer (oops, usually). Everything is..... hurry up & wait.~~~eh, I'm bummed.
A commune was started about 75 miles from me here in TN and they call it "The Farm". Quite an interesting place and totally self sustainable -cool place!
But if I am going to sustain I want tropical weather- no more frigid temps without even a tease of snow!
Northern cali is very nice, staying on the coast maybe a vineyard area. Been hunting for a cave myself. Get a tourist trap and shut down areas for safety reasons, have electricity on site. Plus some have work area buildings. Surface for self sufficiency.Quote:

Ranger, it sounds like you thought about this for a bit.........
Cat - thought about it more than a bit!!
Ahhh.. only one problem with that......I'd want to LIVE in the damned cave & would still have to build a bunker! LOL! I do love the vineyard country. Prettiest sight I've ever seen. I could never afford to move there, but I do have a beautiful memory of it I can visit anytime. ;)
The ones I look at, could house lots of stuff. One had a skating rink, another a concert area. Jessie James's hideout around here had room for horses, cattle, supplies, and his crew. Looked at one on line that had a half a mile of side walks for the handicapped. But the green rush might just be the key.Quote:

We even have a famous TN Pot cave- where an underground cave was converted to a grow- he would never been caught either if he wasn't stealing the power! ;)
Caves are cool…..
Sooner or later they will catch you stealing that power!
Around home here, they have even caught growers because they tapped into water lines, trying to get free water. If your inside your partnering with the power company, and they want their share. If you go off the grid with a Ginny, then your partner is the oil company, and they want a little more than their share. Out west we use solar a lot, and pay right up front. No such thing as a free ride!
At the very least, I'd like to end up with a solar powered greenhouse & hot water heater. I wouldn't mind paying up front because it pays for itself in the end, & it helps keep some of my money out of the power hungry hands of the power company.
But yeah. Power & water companies monitor that shit. Trying to steal it is just asking to get popped.
...good aquaponic read range.
First try at an exotic system, had a length of rain gutter. Set it at an angle one end higher an other. Filled it with peat moss. Had rain barrel to empty into the high end, filled from wind mill(what happened to wind mills?). Planted my little pot plants in the gutter one per foot(corn lessons). Took some time to get all ladies, I was just learning. Would constant drip compost tea from rain barrel into high end of gutter to keep low end moist, supported on hog wire fence running the length at the base of wind mill. Short full season. My first real success, got me hooked. This was in'68. Still like just growing in the dirt like granddad did!! He even helped if I helped on the still. Wonder how many laws we broke?
Must have been, woke this morning to find out was a two cat and two dog night. That's three more than usual!!
Hahaha! Yeah... when it gets that cold here, I'm the sucker who gets pushed out into the floor! Day time highs, the teens... night time lows, 0ยบ to single digits. Way way below normal temps for us. We've had more snow, but never in my life time have we had such a COLD winter! I hate winter!
