Just gather all of that pre mature bud together and give it to Me!! that will teach you a lesson!!
:D :D
Hey Groundup.....LOL......I have some Killer Larry OG and Skywalker OG going right now.....3 weeks left....they are looking awesome right now.
Have some issues.....mostly with heat in my veg room....I just yanked out the 1000 MH and sold it to my hydro guy....and installed 2 t-5 eight blubs....the plants love it....and 1/2 the heat...+ most likely a energy savings.
Totally revamped all my grow hoods.....got an excellent deal at a hydro shop in Sacramento....The 8" raptor for $175 ea........they are just awesome way less heat...and the size works perfect on a 4 x 6 table.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
All I can say to all indoor growers is......growing indoors......is addicting.......I love it.....frustating at times.........Clean Green is the only way to know for sure
your medicine is the best it can be.
i also veg with raptors , kevin at Good Nature huh? he always has good prices. i use radiant 8" lite movers etc.. for flower. i just never got into the t5 lites for veg , I use adjustable digital ballasts for all veg , 400 600 1k depending on situation, .
I'm rolling out some woody kush , and deadhead og, rt now , the woody kush is friggin awsome. blows the deadhead out of the water .!! plus its an 8 weeker +/let me find the pics
heres some Bud porn
woody kush, 7 day veg from clone, still have another week or so!
sweet pictures......ya good nature.....good prices......my next move...is replacing my ballasts......from maganic to digital.....a few at a time.....
looking at a control upgrade........i want everything off timers and a controler that does everything....including water.
he has his own line of ballasts called prodigity, i think there lumatek or who know what brand of knock off! they are cool i have smoked one them out or 6 so far.
Automation is a must, spiderbox,dehhum-control,co2 scrubber. this heat has me wanting to upgrade my ac.
Fujitsu 18CL 18,000 BTU Halcyon Ductless Mini-Split System (19 SEER)
these systems are nice growers use them in the bay area alot. you can have multiple rooms hooked up at one time with only one condenser
Yep....that is the AC unit I have but a 2 ton.....I changed my days and nights two weeks ago....just let the girls set in the dark for 24 hours....and then have lights come on a 10 pm off at 10 am....run you AC ....lights off during the day set it at 82...make sure you dehumibifier is empty....and the girls love it....when lights come on.....it will be easy for your AC to keep up with it.....I have 5 fans going all the time....a 1700 CFM exhust fan that turns on and off every 15 mintues and 2 8" dust shroom......for air intake with a huge 12" X 48" carbon filter......So far my heat issues have been very easy to deal with....also remember when you have lights on in the day with this heat....your electrical breakers are hot very hot and will trip on you.....don't fight it....go with the dark/lights on day/lights off.....your life will be easier.
ya i flipped ten weeks ago thinking it was going to above 80 deg by now LOL but the hot days r finally here!!
it sure makes it hard to work in there though....gives me 2 hours in the am and that is it.
I've seen it happen before a lot. They jack the price up from say 25/30 to 40/50 just flat out wrong.Quote:

His grower went out of business, so he (and, honestly I, maybe because I know so little about it) figured the grower wasn't making enough back to support themselves.

Depends on where you are located. Last year in No. Cal. there was a pretty large supply come fall which helped push prices down(wholesale). Clubs typically are offering $400-$500 per QP or about $13-$15 and 8th then reselling it for as much as $40-$50 an 8th. My buddy just spent $40 at a club in Sacramento for an 8th. My neighbor just picked up a half oz. for $80.
Pentupentropy......that is a very question to answer.....the true donation should be in the 3200 to 3800 range to growers, because without that....it is nearly impossible to survive....but it will cost the patients....not more than they are paying now at the dispensry level, as those are guys who are making 100% profit....and killing off the growers as they do it.
I see it all the time......collectives beat down the grower to what ever they can get away with.....the grower who listens to them....talking about establishing relationships....thinking well.....I need to pay my bills....maybe after there patients try my awesome medicine....I can get a higher price.....it never works.....they just lowball some other grower....or get outdoor and tell their customers it....AAA indoor.....and some customers don't know the difference.
My conclusion is "growers who sell below cost" are subsidizing the collectives.....a discount.....and they DO NOT pass that on the the patient.....it's just more money for them......those growers are now finally finding out.....they are really losing money....and it's very hard work....and anything can and will happen......it not as easy as it looks....so they go out of business......Pricing has to come up to a realistic level.....or the quality of the product must decrease....that is the only way.....Also....I believe the patients are starting to realize....that some dispensrys sell crap.....for $50 an 1/8....and they are not buying it.....
Just 2 years ago....the prices were as follows...wholesale....outdoor $2300-$2800....indoor $3500 to $4500
But now you have very greedy collectives.....and growers who are getting into it....and they do not know their true costs.
The established growers....are caught in the middle....some will survive....some will not....some will just adjust and open their own collective and chase the greedy collective out of business.
I for the life of me cannot figure how a collective making 50% to 100% profit on something will go out of business????
what it says to me.....is they are taking a heck of alot of money out......and now they will have to be satisified will less...just "alot"....insted of a heck of a lot.
Collectives who treat their growers in a respectful way....and establish a "fair for both" relationship will floursish...and grow
becasue they will never have to look for medicine for their patients....they would have a standing order at a fair price...delivered....weekly.....just like.....milk...bread....fuel.....those collective who think that way....are way ahead of the game......The other problem.....about half of the collectives are owned by drug dealers....I call them THUGS....very easy to spot those collectives......when you walk in....you can feel it.....once those collective get shut down....and real business minded people replace them.....those collective will flurish.
Sorry for the rant......but.....I have seen it all......and dont even get me started on the brokers.....they are the scum of the earth.
This is why growers need to work together as a true co-op, operate their own dispensaries and eliminate the middle man. The problem I think is that most growers would prefer to remain anonymous(for good reason) and don't want to deal with the day to day retail end of the business.
Purple Daddy.....I am doing excatly what you are decribing.....I started my own growers collective....and we are adding patients....and despensing way better quality medicine for a lot less than any collectives.....but we still work with collective who see the big picture, and add more when we find one run by compassionate people who really care about their patients and the growers alike.
