Yeah im really hoping theyv maxed out their height, as im getting abit limited in vertical space.Quote:

Iv also had an infestation of fungus gnats the past week which was getting worse and worse, but have finally got round to treating the soil this morning with some 'gnat-off', a natural insecticide, and it seems to be working its magic (it better do, £23 for a small bottle of insect killer!).
Il get some more photos up soon, but right now its just pistil growth, so il wait a few more days til theres a noticeable change from the last set of photos.
Nope..Theyv grown taller still.Quote:

I must admit I still have no PH level, except crappy single-use capsules which are really hard to read from, but il get a decent meter later on in the week.
More photos coming soon
DAY 55
Just some pics to show you guys the slow flowering progress (see last post)
Hey All...mind if I chime in Bourner? The molasses will not make the final product sweeter to taste, so tell Mr.Sweet lung to relax...LOL! Good weed will get sticky whether you add molasses or not! Here's where you can read what molasses does and does not do...it basically provides some needed micro nutrients and potassium and iron, and helps the roots take up more general nutrients than they could without molasses, plus it's natural and cheap....it's the base (diluted) for more expensive products like bud candy and sweet....for more info, read this thread:
http://boards.cannabis.com/indoor-gr...-goodness.html
I use it and it does help in flowering...doses varying from 1 teaspoon/gallon early on, to 1.5 tablespoons/gal near the end...there is little to no Nitrogen in the molasses, so stopping the doseing will not promote faster flowering...two weeks into flower is when I switch to flowering nutes, if needed, and they are much lower in N. I still flush last week with water only....I don't like my weed tasting like burnt sugar...Hope this info helps!
Yes, the only downside to using molasses is it attracts gnats!
Of course not man, the main purpose for me putting the growlog up was to get advice from others, so please ring that chime!Quote:

Thanks TANKJR I've passed that info on to Mr Sweet Lungs. I'd read out the Molasses stickies to him earlier but you know he thinks if its not over priced and packed in fancy labelled bottles then its suspicious lol. I'm working on him ;)
@bourner enjoy that cheesil :jointsmile:
OK - quick update.
Went out and bought a PH meter today, and the soil seems almost perfect sitting around 6.5.
I lifted a few of the plants today to check their drainage holes and I can see some roots pushing out. I assume my girls are getting root bound and need transplanting, maybe this is whats delaying flowering, what do people think?
I need some more soil and pots before i can do this tho, so il go out and get them tomorrow.
b0urner
Stil not flowering..
Iv been reading around (ALOT) of forums about autoflowering strains needing to be forced to flower, so came to the conclusion of switching to 12/12 for a while and see what happens. Theres no obvious reason I can find of why my girls have stopped maturing, its been almost a month from when i switched bulbs, and they all still look very healthy.
I know... patience bourner patience ... :)
Ok I may be speaking too early, but i think the plants are slowly starting to resume flowering (theyv been on 12/12 for around a week). Reading around forums, this is a common problem with autos, and things should pick up a few weeks after making the switch.
A mate came around a few days ago with an LED light board with loads of red and blue diodes. The led looks abit weak when compared to my CFL, but any extra light is a benefit.
Also some of the heads have already maxed out height of my light so i may have to give my plants some LST.
Just to keep you guys updated, I havent left the log hanging, its just theres not much development at this stage, and just to assure you guys - il see the log to the end.
DAY 69
Ok theyr definately well into the flowering stage now. prob is the heads are soo tall now that im out of vertical space, with some of the plants i managed to do some LST, some i simply just dont have room.
Iv just included a quick bushshot again to show my hanging LED board.
Thank goodness they've started lol - I was wondering. They're stretching tall and all along have been nothing like I was thinking auto's would be like. Its interesting to see. I had a couple get too tall also and was able to tie them and pull them sideways below light height and tie them to neighbouring pots. Are you able to do something like that? I waited until after watering (for extra flexibility) and put the tall ones to the edge of the group. Good luck - its kind of a nice problem to have though :)
I was expecting them to be short and bushy as these are cross lowriders, thank fuck theyre flowering, even bending the branches and tying them to each other, I hope they dont keep growing in height otherwise we wont have any space left.

Ok now my girls are flowering theyr starting to go crazy! Theres bud spots everywhere, and now wev finally forceflowered the plants, theyr maturing really fast. Iv managed to tie the main stems down, and bought a wire mesh today which should prevent any buds from touching the cfl bulb. Heres a few pics from yesterday, amazing to see in person, but how well these photos show it im not sure (its really hard to get a good photo atm cus theres no space!).
been watching to see how this goes ur last pic
http://boards.cannabis.com/attachmen...407_190710.jpg

keep the grow log going man:thumbsup:
just cause we aint writing dont mean were not watching:computerlove1:
cant wait for ur end weight and smoke report
till then
Its great to see them doing so well. Now the next lot of fun begins eh?!
Thanks guys hopefully my log will give some idea of the nature of these crazy auto hyrbids!
hehe same, iv been getting alot of v.nice bud lately tho so it has a high standard to keep up with :) that said, my last grow was a failure because of cheap equipment, and tasted like burnt leaf, so should be a BIG improvement!Quote:

DAY 78
Things are continuing pretty well by my eye, and even starting to get some nice trich :) Heres some more photos taken on my phone a few mins ago
i might of missed it
but i was wondering what height are ur plants?
The girls are roughly 3 foot tall, im not sure what caused them to grow soo big, maybe the fact i didnt force them into flowering soon enough, and therefor they were vegged for 2months.Quote:

Urm this is a cannabis forum, not an apple-lover site. Btw if you really want to get into it..Apple=Pretty Pc's :) you dont buy apple products to be customisable, as theyr designed for non-technical people (with alot of money!)Quote:

Took a few shots today, 1st pic shows the head of one of the most mature girls, 2nd pic the same but different angle, 3rd pic is taken from inside 'the bush', 4th is another bushshot but close-up.
P.S i will take some better photos with a different camera, but my phone happens to be very close to my hand right now lol
Oh was wondering if someone more clued up about autos than me could answer this, i currently have the plants on a 12/12 cycle (after i forceflowered the plants), could I now switch them back to 20/4 or 18/6, or would this risk putting the plants back into vegging?
I only have just over a month in this flat and need to speed things up abit!
Thanks
DAY 89
Pic 1 - side branch
Pic 2-4 - Bushshots
Gosh its been a while, I hate it when the boards down. So how are the girls looking now we're further down the track? Must be like a tropical rainforest in there with those beauties lol.
Ah about time these forums are back up :) The girls are looking really good now and the buds are bulking up, while getting covered in trich and picking up weight.Quote:

Im planning on taking a sample off one of the best plants in a week or two, cant wait, lets hope it tastes as good as its amazing smell!
Il try and get some photos up today
DAY 101
So much for a quick strain..(breaking the 100day mark).
Few more pics today, 1st close-up of a nug, 2nd the same nug with flash, 3rd bushbudssss :), and 4th an LST'd kola
Day 108
Good looking for Auto's, those babies just took off! What was the average height of them and how much dired bud you get? With the problems you had getting them to flower makes you wonder if they gave you a normal strain-the ruderails by accident, just a thought, Ive never seen autos grow sooo damn big before, or take that long to flower for that matter. Anyhow hope it was a good smoke. E.Z S.K:rasta:

After only a few days the hps has been pumping up the lower buds, so cant complain!
I think the same, I wish i knew it earlier so I could have stuck em under 12/12 and not lost an extra month to vegging, my bad (making mistakes is part of learning?). I bought the seeds from a local headshop, but have no real way of telling if they truelly were autos.Quote:

DAY 131
Were currently flushing the biggest girl, so should be ready to harvest in about a week, tho we're keeping the lower parts of the plant under light as its not fully mature yet.
Heres a few pics
DAY 133
We cut off some of the most mature branches from one of our best ladies today, the buds were soo heavy the plant could bearly stand up! About 50/50 cloudy/amber trichs atm so are looking pretty good.
P.S sorry for the messy table :P
