The members list is a daunting thing, isn't it? The easiest way to tell is to either know their names on here from seeing other posts by them or if you are going by the member list only, you'll see (instead of Registered) listed under their names something like, "The Modfather" or "CultiModerVatorAtor".

Wish they had the PM feature so I could private message you. I'd send you a few names to make the task easier for you. I don't want to post them here since I haven't seen them in a while and will wait until they show their pretty faces again letting us know all is well on their ends. :D

you so lucky friend to have fishing like that, went out today for a couple of hours pike fishing, had a little jack pike and another about 9LB not a monster but great fun, heres a little picture of a couple of my carp catches, again not monsters but fairly big for the lake i fish

You both lucky friends, you're remanding me my old days with fishing. Here I put on fire my only valued fish I caught from sea.

I caught a carp when i was a chittlin (kid for those who dont get it lol) be the best fightin thin I ever held on to those there lookin to me they be fightin fur a while. Second one lookin like it could out weigh me fur cryin out load nice fish pilgrem! Thanks fur sharin those with me cause i do love to fish be a way of life fur some up here.

is that a big garfish, the fish with the green bones?i use to catch garfish spinning of my local beach, don't do much sea fishing these days , mostly carp fishing now always try and go for 72 hour sessions most weeks in the summer, chilling out with a nice smoke round my local lake,away from everyone just mother nature for company. got a trip in june with my son in France for a week,one of the best countries in europe for it. the lake were going to has fish upto 70LB, can't wait for that.BWD inspired me to go pike fishing today with his fantastic pictures, heres a pic of my first ever pike useally only plesure fish but were told pike is good eating so this one went in the pot and very nice it was too.

That be a nice lookin fish pilgrem healthy lookin too!! I dont mind pike fur eatin they were a bit to boney fur me when i was a youngin but now got the knack on how to gut and clean them best without all the bone and they fry up nice in the skillet that fur sure thanks for that weeds might have to go and auger me a hole we be keepin this up LOL

Yes it is the one. Its eatable for sure but if its big enough to control bones because it has different kind of bone structure inside. This was 1 meter and good for eating. Smaller sizes are hard to clean out from the bones. We weren't specially after these but they were jumping on our small bites and once they get caught there is no way to take the hook out from their mouth without hurting them. So it only leaves one option. EAT. Not good for sport, taste is good :thumbsup:

There is one more good thing with fishing on them. Feels like a sword fish simulation, jumping all the way to you :D

garfish are great fun to catch on very light tackel,especially when they start to tailwalk.:thumbsup:
BWD, pike are boney but like you said if you clean and gut them properly you can get some nice bone free fillets. just wondering what rods and reels you use, looks a nice set up you got there,very similar to my set up i use 3 rod buzz bars delkim alarms with 3x century fmj rods and daiwa infinity x reels or shimano longcast reels depending on how far i have to cast, i do alot of long range fishing 180+ yards, it's my favourite pass time.
what camera you useing to get them great quality shots? i have just got a canon powershot s3 is,i'll try and get out at the weekend to take a few pics of my suroundings to share with you, nowhere near as beautiful as where you are but still some nice pretty places in my surounding area.

Hey weedmaster be usein mostly shimono products i do remember be keepin all the gear down in the inlet cabin be goin down tomorrow fur the rounds be findin out fur sure be thinkin some the reals be diawa. all loudid with 8lb line is all i like to use no matter what i fish for. Camera is my wifes she more the tech then i am it says it does most everythin it self be new this year Nikon product i do believe it be sayin on the front alot the shots been takin last summer winter onse mostly last year couple from last month. Hey Boaz be lookin around the area now be havin bit more time to clear my eyes and get some fireside coffee into me viens be seein some folks be gettin harder hit then others be gettin. In my neck of the woods when they be sayin we are gunna get hit hard we usualy be gettin hit hard. But didnt happen be lookin bout 2-3 centimetres maybe bit blowin in some areas but mostly mised me. Hey my friend Boaz nope be hangin my hat far north Ontario and yup be a wolf be killin bunch my chickens ways back was pack leader and had to take him out cous he be causin way to much damage. The be big up her most be weighin over 100lb easy and shifty basterds. We be treatin each with respect but need to be puttin them in there place time to time here be one i got last year he be pack leader before the black one.

yeah, I understand you gotta take care of the livestock. So the black one took over as leader of the pack, was that other one in the picture? I be much enjoying all these pics and stories, my friend. :smokin:

I know you need to protect yours and your own, but these pictures hurt my heart. I think back to the starving wolf that spared my friend and I, when he could have literally taken us out of this world. But even in his fight for survival he spared us ... he gave up a meal to let two little girls live. Powerful stuff. At least to me.

I think the world of you BWD but when I see things like this it just hurts my heart for the beasts that were so grand, so powerful. I'm glad you saved the chickens and your livelyhood but I hope it is okay if I share with you that I hurt for the wolves.

Hunting is a really popular sport and as long as you use what you kill ... it is for the greater good. I really wish I could feel more of a happiness that you took out the leader of the pack, but my mind floods with memories of an old wolf who cared enough to let me and my friend live.

I just felt for those animals. I am glad to hear you used them up for all intent and purpose. Then their lives were given for a good cause. They can't be thinking they can come on to your property and take your chickens! If one thinks it can, than it's pack will think they can and then that puts your life in danger. I totally understand the pack mentality and the reasoning behind what you did. For my family, I would have had someone do the same thing for me to rid my area of dangerous animals, such as wolves. :thumbsup:

I do make a big part my livin as a trapper and do be havin active line. As for the wolves they be knowin me and i be known them and we make eye contact on regular basis they be watchin and plannin on me and the family and what we be havin and ussualy stay way for the better part but winters ussualy have the pack leader be testin our friendship and he be bringin the pack over the line. I be doin what I can to deter them in what they be after but once they be gettin to greedy and cocky I be puttin one down ussualy the leader be sendin a message it be goin to far thisin puts them in there place for the next bit and then comes full cirle gain once another leader be appointed and the season changes. Once gain my true friend please tell me how to delete and I be doin it before I be upsettin any other pilgrems in this settlement.

Something in the FEATURE thread we've requested be allowable. It is crazy in my eyes that you can not go in a delete something you posted or a thread you started. :silly:

I'm just worried why no one is stepping in on any of the spam threads etc. and doing their daunting job. Makes me go, "Hmm." I may be overly paranoid or worried for them. The snow storms have been cutting out power lines left and right though so I am hoping that is the reason. No electricy = no internet

Your plants look so happy and healthy! Can not wait to see what sex they are. I am still hoping and hoping for all girls. Although, one boy could get you a supply of seeds from a branch or two if you so choose, to get you through the next cold winter or two. :cool:

Be thankin ya fur yur company by the fireside Lyn my friend! I be hopin fur all girls i be figurn with thisin indoor growin. Just want to be gettin good quality budd be fillin my pouch with this time around. as fur huskies well na cant says I be usin them but be usein Bermease Mountain dogs and some cross Labronease dogs fur some short jonts when needed. Be brewts in the snow and be good solid dogs ifin the wolves be takin chase on ya in the bush but this only be happinin ifin they be starvin or in a sick way. hasent happin on me yet. But ya always got to be safe and plannin fur the what ifs in the woods.

Just want to be gettin good quality budd be fillin my pouch with this time around. as fur huskies well na cant says I be usin them but be usein Bermease Mountain dogs and some cross Labronease dogs fur some short jonts when needed. Be brewts in the snow and be good solid dogs ifin the wolves be takin chase on ya in the bush but this only be happinin ifin they be starvin or in a sick way. hasent happin on me yet. But ya always got to be safe and plannin fur the what ifs in the woods.

Makes me want to take that puppy a blanket and lay down and pay homage to the MJ gods and burn while giving warmth to a tried and true companion ... a canine. Yup she be a good dog once we be workin the puppy out her. Bermease be tendin to stay puppies fur a long time they be needin time to mature caus they just want to play and be crawlin into yur lap yu be letinem they think they be lap dogs but a 70 lb dog just aint no lap dog trust me!

I have a big boxer that "hugs" me. Literally comes up from behind when I'm sitting and puts one paw over my shoulder, while snuggling its head on my neck squeezing tight. She is the best dog anyone could ever ask for. She's 11, so I'm not sure how much time she has left on this planet, but she'll be waiting for me on the bridge when I cross over. I'm sure of it! All the animals I have natured or helped over the years of my lifetime will be there. Or at least, if there is a Heaven, that is the one I dream of. All my friends/family who've passed on waiting for me to begin a new journey. A new chapter of our souls energy.

But if the truth be known, I'm hoping I reincarnate into another soul so I can be a part of what ever is to come, good or bad. I guess I'm just "nosey". :S2:
