Blueberry x Northern Lights
Hello folks. I have not put up any pics for a week or so, I thought I would show how the trichs are developing. I am showing a picture of one of the better girls. Some girls look better than others and am just hoping it has to do with the maturing speed. I would be nice if all of the plants end up looking as good as the best one. Thanks to everyone checking out the log!

Looking killer bro:thumbsup:my NL#5 has a really sweet smell to it, i think its sorta like juicy fruit gum smell and taste. Its funny cuz i have some purples going to and iv never ever smoked it before, so im excited too to get that color your getting.
That set-up is really taking care of your plants, not that you dont have anything to do with their health too, just nice and clean looking. Plus your pic's are very nice! If you dont get all the color ya want maybe you can take what is done and even out your canopy and let them go a bit longer. Just a thought as i did this last indoor and it worked out very well. I was even able to re veg them all to grow outside and man they turned into monsters out there, lol.
Keep er green bro:thumbsup:

Thanks LetSeeYa. I Appreciate the advice. Might have to try a reveg sometime. Sounds cool. Also, it does kind of smell like juicy fruit. That's really funny. You mentioned NL # 5. Is that another name for Blueberry x NL? I think I have also heard it called Blue Cross. By the way, I am really getting some purple colors and I really like it. Not a ton of color.... but some:)
It's been about 63 days of flower and things are starting to swell up but no amber trichs yet. Cloudy but not amber. I guessing within a week or so they will be ready.
Any input or suggestions to improve quality or quantity would really be appriciated.
This question is just for fun!
Any guesses on dry weight?
Here are a couple pics. Enjoy:jointsmile:

The NL#5 is Northern Lights crossed with something, but not sure what it might be as i was gifted to me with a mix pack of Skunk#1 and a cross of the two. Your cross will take one of the genetics and run with them so you might have some go very purple and some less. So you can tell at harvest which pheno each plant will take more of. My first go round with the NL was killer and tasted better then anything iv ever had before and i think you will like the taste too. With the Blueberry crossed id think that it will not get really purple, but the cooler air will help some id think. But i know what you mean as the only purple iv ever seen got ripped from me last year outside:( and i really wanted to try it.

The swell you see is something that some people miss by harvesting to soon. I know i did on my first crop outside, but now know to wait to see the buds do the puff up thang:jointsmile:. Sounds like a great cross ya have man, iv never had Blueberry, but the NL will be killer il bet as its one of my favorite strains.

If you can get some cool air in there il bet it will help with color. And to play along il say you will get a qp dry:hippy:but i think your quality will be kill as the 2 strains are killer and your pics show they look very nice. I sure would like to try one of those bad girls in my bowl:thumbsup:
Keep er green bro:weedpoke:

I'm surprised at myself but after much reading I decided to remove any leaves "in bad shape" Hopefully it was good move. Seems that the budsites are getting a lot more light. Pics to follow.

Looks good buddy you are doing great! Can't wait for my babies to, hopefully, reach that stage! I'm like exactly 2 months behind you. Potted mine Jan 21st.
Looks yummy too! I'm hyped to see how it will turn out and definitely waiting for a smoke report. BB and NL are 2 all time favourites so crossing em sounds like something I would love to smoke!!!
Peace,

Well this has a bad ending:( I guess I have been in denial as 5 of my plants ended up being hermies. It was weird. They swelled were really coated in trichs but when trimming realised that the consistency was not right. The buds were kind of like pollen sacks/buds. Its hard to explain. They really fooled me. It is so crazy and and I am so disapointed. All I can say is that I will not mess with these hermied seeds again. My big question however, is...Why did these herm so bad? I think is was stress from cold temps the whole grow (im not sure) I did always kind of think that the buds looked small, did not develope fast, never produced amber trichs...yada yada yada. Problem is, it hits me in retrospect.
On a positive note-
I got one decent plant and used to rest in bubble bags which was a first for me. Got about 3 zips from one plant and maybe 6 grams of hash.
So much time and money and horrible results sorry for the bad karma. I will post a smoke review soon.

Oh man that sucks shit bro:mad:. My first grow was 2 big ass Hermy's and i hadn't done enough reading at that point so i smoked em, lol. It will give ya a buzz, but if ya got bubble bags id make hash with it, that is if you havent already. It will take a plant longer in the cold to grow, thats why i put them on something to get them off the floor. Light leaks cause a plant to hermy easy i believe.
So on to the next go round bro:thumbsup:its the best way to learn man. Grow and read, then ask questions IMO.
Good luck next round man:rasta:

That's too bad about the hermies, that happened to me my last grow too, but everything looks on track for the current...mine was a light stress/leaf curl/cold combo...I didn't even know they were hermies until i noticed the tiny yellow nanards? in flowering...there were a lot of premature seed's too, and there were almost no amber trichs when I cut them down...not to bad of smoke...ive def had worse

Ok folks. I have given some time to dry and cure. Smoke is very very smooth (which is really the only good thing i can say) and it does the trick, but thats about it. It's not too powerful and in my opinion does not look that good either. A friend of mine said it's fire (whatever that means) but I am not happy wiith the results. I know what I am capable of growing and this turned out to be Sh##. Oh well , like steezy said time to move on = )
