Thanks.
Looks like it wouldn't be to hard to build such a system. I bet all the materials could be bought at Walmart.
I'm not trying to be-little your system. I just like to build things.
Okay,please build me one then.lol
I plan on building more so we can do some veggies in it also, but that probably wont be till next month. It really is not that comlicated to make. Afrer i make a box on my own i will take video or step by step pics so yall can see it but that wont be till after the 18 of next month. Today i plan on getting a bigger bin and switching everything from the samller bin to the bigger. I fear that the plants are to crowded and the bigger bin will give them all more room. They have responded to the new lights awesomely i am thinking about getting two more and having them shine from the bottom up to help the botom leaves get light. Does that sound like it could work?
You're kickin ass Mama, very nice. How much water that thing hold, 10g?
What kind of light were you using?
The bin is maybe a 8 gallon or so i only put 6 gallons of water in it though. LOL the light our first light was a good year tire shop decorotive sign that had a flouresnt tube in it. It worked good to get them this far and then we just went out to wal mart last night and picked up some new lights the bulb says its a plant light i am not sure if it is really what they need but over night there was a huge change in the gods gift. i will take pics and post them at some point today.
I think the words "Grow Light" on a package isn't the end all of lights. You can probably get lights with the properties you need, at much lesser of a price.
If you go to Home Depot or something, I bet you can find the lights you need, at a much lower price.
Just pay attention to things like warmth (6500K and such), lumens and junk like that there.
Just my :twocents:
Thanks pepurr i looked at lowes breifly but at the time we didnt have the money and we were at wal mart last night and saw those they were cheap the whole set up was under 20 bucks so it was really no biggie. We have a light already in mind just have to wait till next month.
I upgraded the box they just looked to crowded in that tiny box. We got them a little bit better of light not the best of lights but so far a big increase on the plants..note i raised the light inorder to take pics.
Mama,
They look MUCH happier with the additional space you have afforded them! Glad that you were able to work this out!
What are you currently using for lighting now?
Pepurr is correct in looking for the temperature and brightness (Kelvin and Lumens) of the lights that you choose to use.
Congrats on getting the issues sorted out with the setup! Best wishes on this and I really hope that they all grow up to be big strong GIRLS!!!!!
Well this past weekend we made kind of a encloseur for my babies (see pics below) i know it is not that great but next month they will have their own room. I also started them on nutrients yesterday so it is going to be interesting to see what they look like next week.
Sorry the pics are kinda grainy i am using a video camera to take stills and the still quality is not that great but the video quality is great. I dont get it but thats how it is?
That tent looks awsome!
What is that material you used for it? It looks like some kind of aluminized cloth or something.
lol it is actually very funny....you know those emergency blankets you can get for when you are camping or what not...well that is them we had two in our first aid kit and i thought that was better then foil. They are like 2.88 at walmart in the camping section. We are going to buy more when we construct the other room and line the walls with that.
Wow! $2.88 is cheeper than aluminum foil. You may have stumbled onto something real good.
i owe the briliance to my husband. I must say he has been the master mind to the majority of the setup. I am so lucky to have an amazing husband.

OMG i love it...can i borrow that? Thanks that was anawesome way to start my morning.Quote:

Looking good,M420M!
They look awesome 420. . They look really nice and I am Impressed with your set up. also pepurr's set up. I have never fully grown inside, just starters, but have many years under my belt with outside grows. I have a pic folder of some I did a few years back in my profile and it's results. I follow yours and pepurr's post so I can get some ideas on what to do inside and you both have helped me get a really good idea of what to do when the time comes.. I sent for my personal production license, hope to hear something soon. :D
Those plants are standing tall and look great. Can't wait to see more progress.
We just updated 4 of my babies to 5 gallon buckets and cloned them so we now have 5 clones and they are all looking good. My plants are stretched i know it is because of the crappy lights i have and the heat issue caused buy the lights but this weekend it will all change we are able to build the room this weekend and order the new light. So they will start to look better and we are also going to flower them this weekend too.
I used those on my last grow. They don't tear or wrinkle up like foil. The only problem is they tend to trap heat. I had to throw in an extra fan to keep the temps down.Quote:

Is that a mirror in your grow room?
Thats my smoking spot right next to the door so we have a nice aluminum bat chillin in case any stupid fuck wanders up. We have had that bat at the door in the same spot for over 4 years.Quote:

But this weekend the mirror and the reflective will all be replaced by a grow room.
I was luaghing becuase I keep a nice wooden bat next to my door. Kinda in the same position. Right in the wall between the 2x4's. Anyway your baby's look good and will it be interesting to see the completed grow room.:greenthumb:
Hi everyone sorry for the long delay. Been a crazy few weeks. Alot has happened. We completed the room got the new light and have started to flower. I held off on taking pictures for a a week becasue they got stressed by the moving we had to do to build the room. But they are looking better and loving the new light. I have not been able to 100% sex them yet. Really i havent seen any males pop out yet so maybe i am lucky and they are all females!?!
Within the room the temps are around the low 70's we have a 600w hps light in there on a 12/12 cycle. There is also a airconditioner in the room to help regulate the temps.
Well at the moment i dont have any questions but comments and suggestions always welcome.
Nice new light.....looks a lot like mine.
What methods do you use to keep your garden in compliance? Since we cannot have more than 4 maturing plants, I use a lot of pruning/cloning.
We cannot have more than 4 MATURE plants, not "maturing".
"S. "Mature Plant" means a harvestable female marijuana plant that is flowering and is greater than twelve inches in height AND(emphasis added) twelve inches in diameter."

it has been a little while since i updated on here. There has been a big change since the last post. We found one male out of the 5 i had chopped him down and put him in a box to dry. I will use him for oil. Both my gods gift are females and looking so so pretty. One got a little top heavy and was kind of leaning so i went out to get some wooden dowels. The other two i have are just bag seed and one completely fell over luckily she didnt snap. Did a quick fix and stood her back up with some dowels. She looks good now.
My backyard ladies are looking good as well defiantly have plumped up alot since the last pic of them.

Howdy mama, by chance do you have a fan on your indoor girls? The air from the fan helps to strengthen the stems so they won't bend or break like that. another option is to LST them. That's usually my method. It works out great and you get more than one cola plus all of the buds get plenty of light. :)Quote:

I have a portable ac unit in there to keep temps stable at 70 ish and an osculating fan that is constantly on. What is the LST method? Thank you.
As the plant grows you tie it down horizontally so that plant is forced to grown up and the lower leaves are given as much light as the higher ones. As the plant grows you continue to tie it down around the rim of your pot. It creates multiple colas and bigger buds. L.S.T. = low stress training.Quote:

Thanks Sam... but that really seems like alot of work i would just rather let the grow naturally. Sure the cola sizes would be awesome to have but i dont have the time nor energy to do that. But i do appreciate the suggestion.
