mississippi-nice grow and nice strains. I'm into the whole autoflowering small plants and small micro grows in general. I like the idea of SOG growing with like 4-10 plants producing no more than an oz and a half each. I can't wait for the easy ryders. I am hoping to get at least an oz. off each of the 4 I plan on growing in my box after this grow. I love AK 47 and being mixed with lowryder #2 makes it even that much more appealing to me. I like the idea of a plant thats no more then 15 to 18 inches tall producing a huge main cola of at least an oz. I will post up my easy ryder grow once I started in the next month or so.
Stay tuned everyone. I will assure to make it a good grow using just cfl's and will make sure to include multiple pics on a daily basis. :D
your doing good bud  everything is a learning experience next time im sure it will be better .. and theres no need to top or veg for 2 months like steve said earlier ... what a waste of time... you could do 2 runs in 4 months easy... you should follow something like this... http://boards.cannabis.com/grow-log/...ouse-foam.html
FWIW, just one of my plants yield 6 - 7 wide mouth, pint Ball jars of dried, manicured bud. I don't own a scale so I have no idea as far as weight. With the strains that I grow, all it takes as a piece the size of a pea in a waterpipe to get wrecked. One jar will last me 6 months or more. Seems like a waste of time to grow a dozen little plants to only have a yield of an ounce or 2, when with a little more patience, and some basic "super cropping" practices, you can increase your yield by a factor of 10 or better.Quote:

As I stated earlier my restraints on space that I have to grow in have made me chose the small box which I am using. I like the idea of small plants yielding a half-full oz in about 2 months. Even if I had the space to grow big plants I still don't think I would grow bigger plants to yield large amounts. I'm into the micro aspect of it i guess.
str8touttaweed- Thanks a lot for your comments. I was on a budget when I started and I am glad that I haven't spent much money on anything much besides just the cfl's. I figure I can't be disappointing if anything didn't work out plus I feel like the best way to learn something is to learn how to do it the harder way. people tend to learn more when they have to learn the harder way of doing things. I've learned a lot and when I move up a bit with my next grow it'll be a lot easier and better. People think that growing this stuff takes thousands of dollars with extravagant lighting systems and large rooms setup specially for growing. I wanted to prove to myself that it doesn't take much just a good knowledge of this stuff and a little work and ingenuity. I will def. look into the led lighting system. I've heard good things about it. It was more of a cost issue before though so thats why I just stuck with the cfl's.
Thanks to everyone who has viewed my grow log. Keep the comments coming. This online community is great and I am glad to have chosen this forum to post my log in.:smokin:
i started small just like you. in fact my drying cab is what i used to grow in...i had a little muffin fan on the top but i had a 600w HPS in it. kept it in the garage! i could never grow enough for myself so i got serious and built a grow shop...good things come from meager beginnings...keep up the good work!:DQuote:

back to my original questions though if anyone can help.
In those last pics does it look like the plant is deficient in anything with that leaf color?????
Also in that last pic. How long do you think that plant has to go before being ready to harvest?? Its almost 6 weeks into flower now.
Anyone have any idea of what kinda strain it looks like it might be or even just what kind does it look like sativa dom/indica dom/both?????
thanks everyone
are you spraying your plants with water?
looks sativa dom to me which means a longer finishing time
check the soil ph to see where it is...but i would throw some cal-mag at her:thumbsup:
bickeybammer- No I don't usually spray water on them. I did a few times during veg and I did once in flower for picture purposes...thats it though. I know that spraying water during flower isnt good cause it promotes mold.
strateouttaweed- thanks for the reply. Ya I was thinkin it was sativa dominant cause it def is taking a while for it to finish up. already coming up on week 6 and the bud production is just barely starting. I'm just starting to get the crystals that form on the leaves around the buds. I'd say I still have a solid 4-5 weeks to go. would u say thats about a good estimate on time? thanks again.
update with pics coming soon...stay tuned
yeah...about 4 weeks or so...sativas take a while to finish and they can really test your patience...but they are worth the wait!:stoned:
Some sativas can take 12 - 14 weeks or longer in flower to finish.... especially haze strains.Quote:

Pics everyone. I am at about 7 weeks now. I lost count but will figure out for sure cause I got dates and stuff when I first started. Looking really nice and startin to fill in nicely. I have a shit load of bud sites....way more then I thought I would and the minor LST I did def. helped with that. Well heres the pics and enjoy. shoot me comments.
I know this is my first grow and that there are a few things I shoulda done differently but I've learned a lot and I am very happy with how its turning out. I've learned so much and I figure that my plants are growing well and starting to produce what looks to be a decent amount of free bud. I haven't managed to kill them so I must be doing something right, hahaha. I can't wait to get my second grow going. Gonna have way better strains that are done in 8-9 weeks tops. gonna have a little mix from couchlock to total head high. It's gonna be good.
and another..
They gotta be seriously root bound.... they need to be in at least 10 inch pots. when I harvest mine, they are root bound in 5 gallon buckets.
ya they are prob root bound but I'm not gonna stress them out and change to bigger pots. Just somethin to keep in mind for next grow. They are doin well though, better then ever. They are creating lots of buds and I will def. get over an oz. dried from all of them combined. Theres prob more then a wet oz. on the smallest one already and its still got a few weeks to go so it should get a lot bigger. My onlyl problem now is that the plants are getting too heavy to be help up my the dixie cups so they keep wanting to tip over when their lite and dry. I readjusted the lights a bit and so I have a cfl sitting bout an inch from the tops of the plants and have another cfl within 2-3 inches from the midsection and the big cfl within an inch of the lower portion of the plants. so each plant is getting a good amount of light. Hopefully this will help them speed up a bit.
The little guy that I had in there ended up being a male so I killed it. sucks cause it was lookin really good and had lots of vegatation growing from all over...got 2 other seedlings started though and I will veg for 2 weeks then transplant to bigger pots and stick them in the box under the big cfl. hoping to get the most from small plants. I'm gonna try to get a half oz. from each if theyre both females.
updates with lots of pics coming tomorrow. stay tuned everyone..
BIG IMPROVEMENTS, AMAZING BUD GROWTH, WHO EVER SAID YOU CAN'T GET AN OZ. A PLANT OFF BAGSEED IN A DIXIE CUP??? THINK THIS MIGHT PROVE OTHERWISE:thumbsup:
update everyone....theyre gettin a lot bigger. The smaller one thats closest to being ready for harvest has about 2 weeks left max. I'm gonna flush it tomorrow and only feed it water. Others have about 4 weeks left. def sativa dom. haze strains cause thatll put them at about 12-13 weeks of flower total.
Enjoy the pics.
Just an idea that might help your yield. If you take a razor blade and cut off the bottom 1/3 of your cups and then place them in a bigger pots, your yield will be better. Not that you have done well, cuz they look nice, but why not get the most yield possible. Its not going to stress anything by only removing the bottom of the cup. It will only help with the root bound issues.Quote:

Letsseeya- thanks for the tip man. will def try that out tomorrow. Having a bigger yield will help out a lot.
forgetclassC- Its cool man I totally agree with you somewhat but I know that one or 2 of these plants will yield about an oz dried. the others anywhere from 10 grams to an oz. each. The smallest one that's almost done is bending sideways slightly due to the weight of the bud. The small one that's almost done has a bud thats about as big around as a can of soda and its about an inch or 2 longer then a can of soda. the popcorn buds at the bottom(6 or 7 of em) should be about a gram or so each dried.
everyone, I bought a 60-100x microscope for cheap and works really nice. saw all the trichomes and there was about 70 percent clear and 30 percent cloudy with a couple that are light amber. i'd say about a week to a wk and a half for the furthest along plant. looks really cool though cause I wasn't able to previously view the trichs. they look really good and 90 percent have the perfect shape of stalk and mushroom looking tops. Can't wait to get my easy Ryder and lowlife hindu kush going. Gonna be good and will hopefully yield more than an oz. off each plant. Gonna do one or 2 of the easy Ryder outdoors.
And Idk who said that using just cfl's creates light airy buds cause the main bud on my almost done plant is rock solid. I didn't wanna sqeeze and touch it much but it is very hard and dense. I hate when I see people squeezing and touching their buds before harvest. why would someone ever do that, talk about ruining the potency of the buds.....sorry if I have offended anyone but just seems stupid to me. HAHA, funniest thing is when people on youtube are sitting there fondling their buds about to burst some man juice over it. I know its cool seeing your seed has grown into the most beautiful, biggest, dense, smelly bud around but doesn't mean you gotta rub the touch the shit out of it.
Anyone who agrees, say "I"
everyone stay tuned as this is the best part of any grow-the end result
I Will be using fox farms soil and some big bloom or other good fertilizer for my next grow so hopefully that will help a lot and I found the exact size pots I am going to be using. Their plastic and 2 litre. I know they aint much but hell, its the biggest size I think I can comfortably go without using too much of my headspace in my box. plus theyre not the type of pots that are huge up top and get really small down low, these stay pretty much the same size all the way down and there about 7 inches tall.
LETSEEYA- on that tip you gave me with the cup cutting thing. So tell me if I got this correct. So I'm gonna cut the whole bottom 1/3rd of the cup so that the bottom of the root ball is exposed and then placing the whole cup into a bigger pot and just filling it in with soil, even around the dixie cup?
\[]/ so its gonna sorta look somethin like that with dirt filled in between the dixie cup and sides of the big pot?
OMG...my plant smells absolutely delicious, I'm not just sayin that cause its my plant but it really is the sweetest smell in the world, makes my mouth water. It has a very sweet aroma its def headies. the others are just purple haze mostly but omg, sorry i'm just soo excited. I wish they had smell-o-web or somethin. Everyone else, please share your smell experiences. Just had to share this info with you guys. shits stanky.:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:join tsmile:
I agree with ForgetClassC. Your not going to yeild as much as you think. Yes it looks massive and monster and fat and plump. But so does a grape before it turns into a rasin. Considering you only have 1 big cola and thats the majority of the yeild on your plants. I dont feel its going to be anywhere near 28 grams. JMHO. Dont get me wrong thou the buds looks amazing and i wanna sex them hard just thinkin you estimate on yeild is off.Quote:

I want 2 oz's so with 5 plants that should be doable I think. think thats a little more reasonable to say.
hey everyone, sorry for not updating for awhile but not to worry, i've been keepin up with the pics. Well off the first bud which was picked it came out to about a quarter final dry weight and these other ladies are easily twice as big if not more and there gonna be ready for harvest in the next couple days. got a 100x zoom microscope and right now Im lookin at about 20% clear, 70% cloudy and 10% light amber. I think next couple days itll be perfect. btw these are haze strains so they took a crazy long time to flower. looking nice though with lots of hairs and pretty nice buds. the smaller buds which are lower on the plants have all grown upwards perpendicular to the main stem which is sideways due to lst. each of the popcorn buds have grown and stretch over 3 inches tall. hopefully will yield 2 oz. of medicine from all 4 plants for this lady. She needs it bad and can't wait.
You should try to find a mostly indica strain for the next round.
This way they should take only 8-9 weeks in flower.
