First Grow-Grow Box-CFL's-Mr. Nice Guy and Afghanica

Lookin sweet. And if you did want to prune any thing the bottom third is the target.But just in the first two weeks of flower or earlier. Better air flow and promotes the growth into bigger top colas. How did you clone? From where on the plant? Rockwool works well when using soil or soilless mixes. I use an aero cloner I made. 9 days max for roots. Much higher percentage of success.

For the cloning i just took two clippings off some bottom branches that seem to not have much of a purpose. And an aero cloner would be great but i only have room for 2 plants max...for now atleast. But i used some rooting hormone that was a powder... its just what i had at the time. I also just got them in some peat pellets(funds are pretty low haha).

If these don't throw some roots out within the next couple days i think im just gonna scrap em and try to take a "super-clone" or two cuz i hear those are much more exciting haha. I was also gonna go pick up some gel for this round as well.

Things are goin pretty good, she's grown up into the lights a few times but other then that i think things are going pretty smooth. I wired the fan that was blowing on her to up in the top corner of the box so there'd be more room in there, ill get some pics of that up soon. But here's some of the progress.

Well i would but she's already in flowering and tied down in quite a few places, i've also heard that a 3 gallon pot should suffice for the full flowering stage...hmmm

You're fine in the 3 gal. You're using CFLs right? It would be more of a concern if you had high-intensity lighting.

looking good flowers take forever to resin up under cfls but other then that no complants used as many as possible!

Well, we're startin to get some results :D Its been about 2 weeks or so and you can see the start of some buds with alot of white hairs :thumbsup: So here's some pics, one of them of the stem, the picture quality is shit but i just took it to try and show that its probably like 3/4 inch thick! i thought that was pretty sweet haha. Anyways im almost out of room so i was thinkin i would go get another rubbermaid and thrwo that on the bottom, cut holes in that and the bottom of the current box so i could then sink the pot its in so i'd get another foot of room or so...atleast.

So here's a few pictures of the progress... She keeps getting a little to close to the lights and with the rubbermaid box thats one thing i dont like. But i was thinkin about puttin a little window so i could check it out without taking the whole thing off. I would make it so i could seal all light out and keep all light in when it wouldnt be in use. Who knows...

nice plants man i wish i could grow a couple plants indoors so ican have some good bud while im waiting on my ones to finish outside cant afford the stuff to do it with

If you plan it out right you could probably get all of it for about 70-80 dollars. I might have spent a little more then i needed to on a few things but i figure that if i even get a half ounce ive more then broke even and i will have the materials for times to come. The one thing i under estimated was the nutes...They are expensiveeee, but i cant deny the results, fox farm is the shit! And i will have left over nutes for quite a bit longer so it should all work out in the end :thumbsup:

So i gave her a gallon of plain water two waterings ago and she seemed to like it, no drastic changes or anything but then the last time i watered i upped the tiger bloom up to 2 tsp's which is the most ive given her and she seemed to loveeeee it:thumbsup:. I also took a few more clones, trying a few things different so we shall see if this goes through. I have made a stealth micro box that im hoping to lay a scrog down in. Its only 14 inches tall but i could spread it out a good bunch and then id basically flower right off the bat. Im pretty excited to get this started, ill probably make it its own thread so keep an eye out ;)

So heres a few pics, i know the quality is pretty horrible but i tried to adjust them as much as possible because the lighting wasnt good where i took them. also i will start taking them with a real camera here shortly haha

So heres another pic update for you all, not to much has changed. I gave her her first full on nute today(2 tbsp of Big Bloom and 2 tsp of tigerbloom) Im anxious to see how she takes it :thumbsup: Anyways, im startin to see tricomes on her and the smell is starting to pick up, nothing to bad though :)

So overall, things are goin pretty good if my assumptions have been right. The buds are looking excellent and the tricomes are starting to turn a little more amber

35 days flowering...


I do have a few questions though...

The first one is that there seem to be alot of the lower leaves are just dying off and their color isnt as dark as the top stuff, im hoping its just cuz of the light not getting all the way down there...is it? And on a few leaves there is a little browing which i checked out and it seemed to be a phosphorous defficiency? Does that sound right? The last picture is of some of the miscolored ones...


Secondly, i was wondering when i could start adding some molasses or brown sugar to the mix??

40 days flowering....

Shit looks to be going good. I hope my two plants do good as yours.

So she ended up drinking her water a little faster then usual and dried up a bit, i watered her with the last round of nutes and this is her a day later, the buds still look good but some of the leaves just got pretty crispy, and not burned crispy. Im thinkin it might have got a little to hot in there or somethin, but im gonna start the flushin process next watering:thumbsup:

day 43 flowering...

Things are going smooth minus the fan inside the box freakin out and now it just makes a wierd noise but i dont think it was really doin that much good now anyway, ill keep an eye on the temp though. Water consumption has now slowed down a little bit but buds are still lookin purty I finally busted out the good camera so you guys could check em out :thumbsup:

yo live2last, only just seen your thread, real nice grow man. Did you only use the 3cfls from start to finish ? Im also cfl grower btw :) dry harvest ? real nice plants !!!

i used 4 100w equivalent bulbs for both stages but i wish i found another way to get a few more lights in there, i think that coulda helped a bit. I dont have a dry wieght yet but i should know in a week or so :thumbsup:

So its been curing for about two weeks now and im pretty pleased with the over all result. I'd say it turned out to be a little more then a half ounce though i was never able to get my hands on a scale for an official weigh in :/ I learned a ton from you guys and i dedicate this current bowl to you guys The smoke is awesome, its like couch lock madness though i have been able to play a few games of roller hockey on it and done just fine but for the most part you just want to sit there haha:rasta: Ive been saving all the big nugs to finish the whole cure but ive been pickin off the scraps and i must say not paying for weed is probably the best thing ever:rastasmoke:
