Pest Spray has burnt my leaves
1. Cool.
2. Ya don't really want to see all the undergrowth die-off, but some underperformers that don't make it are kinda expected.
3. When you switch the lights to 12/12, lol. (no clue...I grow indoors)
Would love to see the pictures as she progresses.

Pest Spray has burnt my leaves
Cheers Rusty. Yeah I guess I will just let nature take it's course and as the days get shorter in the UK she will start to flower. Must be soon though I would have thought. Will post pics of each part of the plant tomorrow so you can have an overall look at how's she's doing
Peace

Pest Spray has burnt my leaves
Hey Guys
Here are some shots from today. Latest update:
1. New leaves still coming through healthy.
2. Old damage not getting worse
3. Original leaves still dropping off by own accord
4. No new signs of pest activity
4. Ordered a cheap walk in greenhouse to house her now so she can get used to the same amount of light and darkness everyday and hopefully go into flowering. She is now nearly too damn heavy to move so this is my best solution I think. Going to try and make the thing pest proof!!! LMAO
What do you think???
Cheers

Pest Spray has burnt my leaves
I think she's going to be huge.
Will take a little getting used to the schedule, and small adjustments will be likely necessary, but she's looking great.
Make sure she doesn't cook in the grenhouse, and that there's adequate ventilation. Does it have the optional screen door?
-
Pest Spray has burnt my leaves
Hey Rusty
Yeah it has the screen door too. Hopefully it should arrive tomorrow or the next day and I can erect it and see if I need to make any changes to it. I may put a fan in their if I can run a long enough cable from my shed. Will post pics of it's new home once it arrives. Exciting times!

Lookin Good! I am using the biobizz also and am liking the switch from foxfarm. I tend to use more than the recommended dose of the Biogrow to keep up with the fast growth during veg...what dosage do you use? I switched over to the bizz from foxfarm because I am tring to grow as close to 100% organics as i can and Biobizz is the only nute line at my growstore that is OMRI listed.

Pest Spray has burnt my leaves
Haven't actually been giving it any more biogrow since I started this thread. Just been giving it good old fashioned tap water and it seems to be doing fine. Will start to use again during the flowering period which I hope will be soon but things are on the up I think. Literally!

If no signs of flowering, likely you should start giving veg nutes again. Would start with half-dose, and watch for a response.

Pest Spray has burnt my leaves
Hello Everyone
So she is now 18 weeks old or 4 and a half months old and now a little over five foot tall. I have a concern/question for you kind people. I read something last night that said if you start your grow too early it messes up the plant and it will grow tall but not yeild too much of the good stuff??? Apparently the best time to start an outdoors grow is June 1st???? Is this correct? I started late March! My concern......
She is already huge and hasn't started to flower yet. The packet of seeds said that the flowering stage for Frisian Dew is 7 to 8 weeks so another 2 months!!!! and that harvest should be the 1st week of October. My question is how much bloody taller is she likely to get in the next 2 months?
On the plus side she looks and smells amazing and seems happy in her new home. I'm not too concerned about the yield as it's for personal use but I would hate to have grown her for all this time and to only get like an ounce or something.
Sorry, 1st time grower stressing about nothing again I'm sure!!!
Here are some pics for you to enjoy.......
PS. Love feedback :rasta:

No clue, Haven't grown outdoors since...high school, (30ish years or so) but if you don't get an answer in the plant problems forum you could try the outdoor forum.

Pest Spray has burnt my leaves
This was taken a couple of days after the last pix. Currently training the buds to self-cure, self-manicure, and jump into the jug.
Actually was a prescription of Humboldt Co. Trainwreck my neighbor was showing-off. So far she said no seeds from the jar. :( Keeping fingers crossed, though.
Am recharging the camera batteries so will have to get pix later. But the ladies are doing fine.

Pest Spray has burnt my leaves
So there was a massive storm last night and the greenhouse blew off knocking the plant in the process. I wasn't around but got told about it this morning. Apparently the plant was leaning majorly to the point where it was almost on the ground so a friend put a stick of bambo in the soil to tie it upright again.
When I arrived to inspect the damage I noticed that all of the leaves where very droopy (I assume this would be down to stress???) Thankfully none of the branches snapped, only a few of the smaller leaves and fallen off.
I've managed to errect the greenhouse again and secure it much better this time.
Just wondering if the droppyness of the leaves is down to the stress of the whole situation or if the bambo might have damaged some of the roots??
My plan is to leave it be for a couple of days and see how it copes. Any other things I should be checking for?
Thanks

Pest Spray has burnt my leaves
Ouch.
Any damage to branches or mainstem? Were any roots popping-up out of the soil? Did the pot break or did it just fall over?
Have you got it staked-up good to keep her upright?
I'd treat it like transplant shock and ease-up on nutes for a week or so, and keep an eye out for nanners. Also, I'd watch for new growth to appear, then resume normal schedule.
Likely it will stunt her a bit but at this point in her maturity, likely she can pull through with limited complaints. (think positive )
-
Pest Spray has burnt my leaves
No damage to branches and only a tiny bit of damage to mainstem (noticed a small area about half the way up which looked like she had had a thin layer scratched of her) not sure how else to explain it but it didn't look too bad.
No roots where out of the soil and as far as I'm aware the pot didn't fall over, I think it was just incredibly windy and the plant took a bit of a battering. I have put some bambo into the ground and tied it to the plant so she is now standing in an upright position. I'm going to go check on her again tomorrow so I'll post some pics of how's she's doing. FINGERS CROSSED!!!!

Pest Spray has burnt my leaves
Hi Guys
Thanks for your interest. So it's been a few days since my last post so I thought I would update and ask a few more questions for a change. Here goes
I have now moved her from the greenhouse as the top was hitting the roof and restricting her growth. As she is going to grow a few more feet I felt that bending her was not an option so the greenhouse had to go. As a result of her growth and the lack of space available the top of the plant looks a bit messed up but I hope this will adjust itself in the next few days???? I'm glad you've said that sex dosen't show normally till early Aug cos as of yet I have no solid evidence that she is infact a female. Just guessing and praying.
My main question is this.
I have automatic lights that come on in the garden when something triggers it, ie a human, cat, fox or burglar etc....... I can turn this off so ultimate darkness is ensured, but I wanted to know just how sensitive plants are to light disruption during the flowering period? I live in a fairly residential area where house and street lights are slightly visible from the grow area.
Attached are the latest pics. Thanks once again guys

Pest Spray has burnt my leaves
Hey Guys
This is going to be my last post before my vacation so time for an update and some new pics
The first white hairs have started to come through!!!!! They are too small to capture on my crappy camera but this gives me a lot of hope that is is infact female! She is adjusting to being outside 24/7 very well and is standing strong(with the help of some bambo) whilst enjoying the great weather we've had today. Hopefully things will just keep getting better from here on in and all the storms are behind us!
Here's a few new photos. Next update will probably be the start of August when hopefully we'll be able to see some bud action
Cheers

Pest Spray has burnt my leaves
Hello Everyone
Back from holiday now. 2 Weeks away from the baby was hard work but what I came home to def put a smile on my face.
She is now a few inches over 7ft and I can now confirm that she is 100% female well on her way to giving me a great yield (fingers crossed) Lots of white hairs now!!! The weather I've been told has been pretty choppy but she seems to have been getting enough sunlight IMO.
Only bad thing I noticed is tiny holes starting to appear on a some of the leaves. I couldn't get any great shots of this damage as my camera was acting up a bit but In one of the photos you can clearly see what I'm talking about. A friend of mine who has a little experience said it was nothing to worry about but I would still like a 2nd or 3rd opinion!
Thanks all, any feedback much appriciated :D

Pest Spray has burnt my leaves
Hey Guys
Just thought I'd show you the latest shots of the plant if anyone who helped me earlier in my grow is still watching her progress. About 2 weeks into flowering now. I'm very happy. What do you think?????
Cheers :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Looking good, filling-in nicely. But what happened to the greenhouse? If ever there was a time to restrict insect access, it's near the finish line.

Pest Spray has burnt my leaves
Greenhouse was 5ft. She is now over 7ft! It had to go, I had no choice. Not so much problems with pest at the moment, just the furious winds we've been having the last few days, it's still been sunny though. I think I've tied her up well enough though. Seeing good growth everyday which is a positive and for a first time grow I guess I can't complain.
Good to hear from you Rusty

Pest Spray has burnt my leaves
Hey Guys
Here are some pics about a month into flowering. Buds are coming on great but some of the leaves (mainly the bigger fan leaves at the top that I haven't trimmed yet) are turning yellow and drooping a bit. At the moment she's getting about 4ltrs of H20 every evening and that's all. Any suggestions or comments greatly appreciated

Pest Spray has burnt my leaves
Really windy here today. Just got back from work and one of the branches had snapped off! It was a smaller one from the back which wasn't getting that much light. I have secured the plant much better now so fingers crossed that is the only one that gets damaged.
How much of a big deal is this by the way. Any chance it will stress the plant out so much that It dies or should it be ok. Pics to follow.
PS. How should I go about drying the branch out so I can try it, this is my first grow
Thanks
-
Pest Spray has burnt my leaves
Hello Guys
So the branch snapping didn't seem to effect the plant at all. In fact since I have pruned some of the dying leaves she has been putting a lot more energy into the buds which are coming on very very nicely. Just measured her for the first time in ages and she is now 7ft and 5 inches!
Here are the latest photos, buds coming along very nicely!
Cheers

Pest Spray has burnt my leaves
Greeting everyone
Been a while since my last post so here goes.
She is now 8ft and exactly 6 months old. No more dramas have happened since my last few posts and I'm proud (and sad) to say that next week I think It's harvest time!!!!!!! :D !!!!!!!!!!!!
Here are the latest photo's, does everyone think that it is in fact time to harvest of a few more weeks? Leaves at the top are starting to turn either purple or yellow....
Pics attached
Many thanks and feedback much appreciated

Pest Spray has burnt my leaves
Very nice.
Best way to tell if she's close to harvest is to watch the trichomes. If majority are still clear, she could use more time. If mostly cloudy, she's ready when you are. If mostly amber, she will have lost some vigor and will slowly die off.
If weather is cooperating, your options are wide open. If it's getting too cold, too windy, or too wet...your plant will likely decline quickly. But it is a final decision for the plant, so chose wisely...there's no going back. (except perhaps for a re-veg opportunity)
Got a guard dog...?
Again...good job.
