Sorry to read about the fall, Shake; but, I'm glad to read the damage wasn't too severe. As creative as you've been with cardboard, I know you'd have it covered in a real wood wardrobe.

thanks jakez! i have remedied the situation by running the rope around the bar that braces the top of the box. i don't know why i didn't think of that before. silly me!
well, it's that cheap compressed crap, but it's huge. and it has a tall section on one side, like three or four shelves on the other with a long shelf across the top.
thanks for stopping by jakez. i'll get some new pics up the next watering/feeding. no one cares to read words, they just want bud porn!

Haha. Take care shakezoola.
Yeah i kinda noticed that it seems not many really read posts they are just looking for the porn lol. I read pretty much every word of most people's logs on here but i'm starting to think i'm just obsessed with growing and want to learn every thing i can about it. Thought i was going to go crazy when the forums went down. no reading to kill time.
So make any choices on what strains your gunna buy and where your going to buy from?
oh and btw had a friend buy from bc bud depot he bought the original blueberry feminized spent 125 bucks on 12 seeds he had 4 of them in flower right now 2 wound up male. man if that had happened to me id be so pissed.
well peace
ahh! nothing like a cardboard box and cfls! cfls produce prettier bud IMO and the density is nothing to be ashamed of!
Once you finally get that room your hoping for please, please, please put your light vertical. the difference is astonishing.
awesome grow shake!
thanks bezooka! i know people do read, i just didn't want to keep posting text with no pics. i know some people don't read as well!Quote:

i'm the same way quarter! i read as much as i can, but i'm only borderline obsessed. i almost went mad too when the boards were down. lol.Quote:

i might also get an AF strain or two (as they have single seeds) just to check them out. and get a little bit of meds quicker too.
yeah, i'm over it already tik! lol. i'm ready for about a 4' x 4' area (maybe a tad bigger) with at least a 600W HPS and a a harvest of a different strain every two weeks with a room full of mums to pick from! just a man and a dream!Quote:

since you are such a good sport be, here ya go. i know it's not much, but there is not a whole lot to show at the moment. the flowers are just now really starting to thicken up.
any idea why the things are so damn green? too much N? i am only running my nutes at 1/2 strength every feeding for a full dose.
rusty, are you out there?

Shake, the plants look great. They look like they may be some type of blue/purple strain almost, as dark as the leaves are getting. They look pretty darn healthy to me, but I'm not good at diagnosing problems. In fact, I think I have "Reefer Madness" as all weed looks pretty sweet to me.
That's alot of plant for that size bucket....That's where i would start prolly.
Dive:stoned:
looks like too much N to me. if I start to get real dark leaves like that I immediately back off the nutes. but they are healthy nonetheless and going to produce some danky dank!
Well hell yeah Shake. thanks for the quick group shot.
I second what atik says. Although Rusty will give you 'the' answer. He doesn't bullshit around. Which is key to a very successful harvest every time, in my honest opinion.
Keep those :greenthumb: green.

Wow man, nice. That cab looks so clean and well built. Out of cardboard no less! And your plants look really good too. CFLs continue to impress me... I might have to make myself a cardboard veg box next grow so I can keep it perpetual. Anyways, well done dude.
yeah, they really crept up on me. this was the first go round using strictly fox farm nutes (last batch didn't get them til about three weeks left til harvest).Quote:

they are about 25" or so from the top of the pots (3 gallon pots) to the top of the plant.
i guess next time i'll know better, and LST and top. or some combination of something. and only run about four big plants.
thanks for stopping by dive. i know you must get bored with these childish grows. you obviously know your stuff. what's your next move doctor?
"you cannot rep dive again......"
that's what i was thinking tik. i am using the entire fox farm lineup. i'm feeding them 1/2 strength, twice a week for a full dose. i guess i'm gonna need to modify that.Quote:

bezooka, i concur. i don't know why this is happening. i'm feeding them like rusty recommends. i'm gonna get a plant problem post going and see if i can't find out his input.Quote:

Well i've only grown in soil outdoors so i may not be much help here. So you nute twice a week to create the full dose. What do you do between then on the other days? When do you give them just water? I was having problems with my plants and I couldn't really pin it down and I explained to my hydro man that I was only giving them half doses. He gave me a verbal slapping and said "how would you like it if you only got half your meal?" He advised me to give a full dose and then water, water, full dose, water, water. Its been working great since. But let someone with more soil experience chime in :rasta:Quote:

What up bro! Finally came by and I see you haven't updated in awhile any that is a bad ass set-up, I started with tarps hanging from the ceilings. lol:thumbsup:
sorry pete. i know. i've been lazy. and the ladies have been driving me insane. they are fastly outgrowing there homes, seeming to take forever to finish flowering and all i want to do is start growing 'dro! lol.
i'll update today. and i'll do a better job. damn it to hell. sorry for being lazy.
-shake
Hey I'm a pro at being lazy! You sign up on ICmag yet?
no. didn't i just say i was lazy? lol.
it's not really that, it's just i'm stubborn and i'm gonna have to go get aquainted with everyone there and build up the e-lationships. ya know how it is. but i'm gonna, i'm gonna.
and an update is coming.....
-shake
shake? It's about time you showed us what's been hapnin' in your neck o' the woods, eh? I know all about delays in updates - I think it had been 2 or 3 weeks for me too. I hope you're able to find the time in the near future, and I hope all's been well with you and yours, my friend! And, I hope to see you over at the ICM. It's pretty interesting over there, but as others have said CAN is a different more laid back vibe.
Continued good luck to you!
thanks for the interest jake.
my plants decided they wanted to re-veg (still trying to figure out why) so i had to chop them due to a lack of space.
i ened up with 3 1/2 oz. on some plants that were all that close to being done.
live and learn. i do have some more ladies going. not sure if i'm gonna do a log though.
maybe i will make the last one for a while. i'm finally gonna have the same variables for this grow (that's a first)!
thanks again.
-shake
shake, I'm sorry to hear about some of your ladies getting the early chop, but at least you wound up with some bud, eh - 3 and 1/2 Oz is not a bad haul. I probably had about that from last season, and it's lasted me until now with just a bit to spare. I'm looking forward to harvest though! Even though you may not have a log to keep up with your remaining ladies, I know we'll see you around the board spreading smiles. It's always a pleasure to see you around, my friend! Be good out there!
you'll definitely see me around. i just prefer to help out others and not being "required" to keep a log. lol.
thanks for the kind words. the feelings are mutual.
-shake
shake - any luck on figuring out the re-veg problem? i saw your thread in the plant probs forum a couple days ago and the suspected light leak... did that turn out to be it? i can;t imagine the light leak was that bad?
i know that some light has to get in ther, but it can possibly be enough to cause a re-veg (i wouldn't think anyway).
the only things that are ever on is the overhead light (a 1600 lumen CFL) and the television (a 32 inch sony).
if it's the CFL then we don't give them near enough credit! and i don't think the tv would do it either. i mean i cover all the holes up and there is no direct exposure, it's all angles.
who knows. we'll see what happens this go round.
-shake
yeah I can;t imagine a 1600 lumen CFL, which i imagine is probably also pretty far away... ceiling-mount?, would do *that* much harm... your really talking about a really really small fraction of those 1600 lumens making it into a light leak... if outdoor plants can survive street-lamp light and stuff, i'd like to think they can survive that.
the I can;t imagine is putting out much either... is it a CRT (tube) style or a newer LCD/Plasma? I know my lcd comp monitors can put out a fair bit of light... but again, with the amount that would make it into a light leak... can;t imagine it being a problem.
anyhow, hope things work out :) I'll be watchin :D
yeah it is a ceiling mount CFL and it's an old tube.
we will see. thanks for tuning in!
-shake
Light leaks affected my stuff a bit but overall didnt do too much damage. Hopefully the same happened with you. 3.5 oz's is awesome, keep up the good work. Hope the smoke is great....:rastasmoke:

I'm loving the "Grow Chandelier!" It's like one of those fancy old-timey street lamps with all the white globes.
thanks cpt! i just got back from colorado! had a great time.
one of my "friends" did manage to not take care of my plants correctly though. a total setback. asshole!

shake-was that dry wt?-excellant set-up by the way-smello
I just stumbled across this post. Sorry it's late.
Still using the FF solubles? They can give the ladies growth spurts.Quote:

Any luck getting fresh beans?
still using the solubles rusty. although the ones from this log have been harvested, it looks like the currently ladies in flower are trying to keep vegging too.Quote:

i did get some luck in the fresh beans department. i've gotten some of killa's wrecked homicide and death by purple. also, vaped sent me a variety pack as well.
i'm moving this week and am looking forward to more space and getting some new gear in the near future.
as always, thanks for stopping in rusty. also, check out my official test log for killa's beans. i'm having a little problem with them.
i have a pH meter coming from M.P. and my wife got me a TDS meter too. so things should start to perk up hopefully. and i also plan on switching to hempys too.
-shake
yes, that was dry weight. if the current ladies in flower will stop trying to veg they should put off a nice bit more. don't like counting those eggs though.Quote:
