you can toss them into flower as soon as they have roots.
one gallon might be pushing it. give it a shot and let us know how it turns out.

Wait, so should I just go with two gallons? I don't want them to get rootbound in flower....Quote:

i think you'll be okay with a gallon if you let them get roots and then toss them into 12/12. you might run one or two in 2 gallon pots just for comparison.
i've heard bigger pot (roots) = bigger buds. no experience of my own to speak of. but i've also seen a pretty nice size plant in a 4" square pot. it was healthy as can be, it just needed to be watered everyday and was way too top heavy.
so i say you've got some room to play with so see what works best for you and your area etc.

Nice grow so far. Ill be sure to watch because I want your review of Peakseeds. Their Northernberry looks pretty crazy and for $40. Look forward to seein new pics.
I almost went with the Northernberry myself, but then realized the leaves were just purple not the actual bud. Also, it has different pheno's so there was no telling if you could get another one to look like that. I went with blueberry cause I wanted the fruity taste and the HOPEFULLY purple/lavender buds. :DQuote:

Good stuff going on here! Just my butting in but when you rape the BB.. don't top it! if they are like mine they dont like it.. responded well to fim'ing but topping one of them made it turn to a straight sativa and looks like a 12 weeker nowas far as budding... yeesh. Could just be what was going to happen no matter what but..........
I never top my plants. I did a longgg time ago and didn't like it, so I just stick with LST.Quote:

So in a couple of weeks when I start to take clones I will be getting my hands on some WW also :D Bout to seed one of the clones with the BB pollen and get me some Blue Widow!! :D:D:D
On another note, I have also started 4 skunkberry seeds. So I will be introducing all these strains in the next few weeks. Damn, I guess I will have to change my thread name to WW, BB, and SkB. Be on the lookout everyone :)
they've got a bluberry x white widow cross out there by g13 labs. it's called blue venom .
(that's a link.)
not that there is anything wrong with doing your own thang! i'm envious my friend.

Yea, I seen that.....Dinafem also has their version of blue widow. Dinafem Seeds
Talking damn $140 10 pack feminized :wtf: OR about $15 a seed....It definitely looks wicked dank! Check it out!
yeah, that looks good. it would be fun to take that and cross it with something else. maybe a purple strain.....
i can't wait to see what you do with it!

:wtf: Well on further inspection today, found out I have a small case of spidermites. Went to wal-mart and lowes for some no pest strips but could only find fly traps and moth traps....Didn't know if they would work, so I just purchased some Organicide. It says on the bottle I can foliage feed them, but I'm not sure if I should do that. Read in a post (by WhiskeyTango) that I should mix a cup per gallon......I only bought the spray, so could I just spray them? If your out there Whiskey, your input would be greatly appreciated.
Funny, I got my pest strip from Lowes. Guess I got lucky. Although I found a roach crawling around the soil today. so... :\ Sorry i cant answer your question about organicide.
sorry to hear you got those horrid little mites, last time i had them i got a sollution from my local hydro shop which only needed one spray and it killed all them little critters and there eggs, but can't remember the name of it or find the bottle at the moment, but if i do will let you know what it was called. pyrethrum or neem oil works but you have to treet the plants for a while, i'm sure you will beat those little fuckers. good luck mate:thumbsup:
Yeah, luckily I found these suckers before they infested. :cool:There are only a few here and there, but I'm sure their is more. I haven't sprayed them yet. I will try today on the male plant when I water and see if it works. If not, I'm taking the stuff back :smokin:Quote:

Hope all is under control. :(
Sooooo, I haven't updated in a good minute, so I just decided to catch everybody up on what's going on.
First, used the Organicide and it worked wonderfully. Left a little smell, but eventually dissipated in a matter of about 4 days.
Also, I took 9 clones from the 3 plants about a week ago. Two from the suspected male, three from the confirmed female, and 4 from the, what "looks" to be a female. I have them under two 24 in grow lights I got from Wal-Mart awhile back. They are nice a green, but no signs of roots yet. I don't figure ALL 9 to make it, being this is my first time, but ya never know! :stoned:
Also just started 12/12 on the already going plants. Figure, start these now so I can have some meds by the end of July. Then in about 3 weeks I will throw this clones in there. Well not all of them. I will probably keep 3 growing out at a buddies house and then take clones from them. Then I will seed one of females with one of the 2 male clones for future seeds (whichever grows better). Will have them in a separate grow area too. Probably make a dual rubbermaid setup since I have two already here. :D
That's later though.
Hey Italiano, been following this log, looks good. I'm doing some BlueCityDiesel so was interested in your experience with the BB. Glad to hear the Organicide works too. Just bought some myself, but hope I never have to use it.
hoping everythings going great... just hopin u get some bud porn up in the next few weeks

Funny, over 2 months and I have only one set of pictures up! :wtf: Might just have to throw them up tomorrow as my lights are now out for the night!Quote:

Welcome back Shake! Thanks for the feedback. Let me tell you though, never again with these BB. They are a bit of a pain in the ass to grow. I'm got it covered so far though. Took a good while to get where they are, considering the heating issues I had early in growth. They are coming along nicely now though. Finally doing things right under my terms. :D I can tell looking at them that they are going to be fast fillers. Haven't been in flowering 2 weeks yet and they are starting to show pistils all over. I will take a few pictures in about a week to see the difference. :stoned: Anyways, thanks for stopping in and happy growing! :smokin:
they still got some more stretching ta do :D cant wait till start of spring
Pic 1 if you make it big you can see the pistil growth. The rest are just some more randoms while I was watering.
Some (well most) of them are looking like shit! I checked the left cutting on the first pic for roots and found some growing, so that's a good sign. Not really sure why the hell they are turning yellow on the bottom leaves, but everything else is growing on them. Just the bottom leaves are yellowing. If they make it, they make it. If not, then I'll try again with the skunkberry I just started couple weeks ago, when they get of age. Anyways onto the pictures.
Pic 1: Male cuttings
Pic 2: Female cuttings
Pic 3: All the cuttings
just wanted to show a piece of the bud we got going around here right now. Only $30qtr :stoned: I can't complain! This is our "mid" around my way!
looks pretty tasty wish i could have a puff :D
hows it going italiano? those ladies look lush:jointsmile:good to hear you got rid of the mites:thumbsup:i didn't get the AK47 clones in the end but i got a couple of pure dutch in the greenhouse dont know sex yet only a few weeks old, if they are female i will start a log:)keep up the good work mate, sorry can't offer any advise on your clones, but hope they turn out allright:thumbsup:look forward to your next update mate, stay cool and keep on tokin
some random pictures..........
what's the status on the clones italiano?
ladies look top flight!

Four of them have rooted (all the female ones) and I proceeded to plant them (will put pictures up here soon). For some reason one of the clones starting wilting really bad during the transplanting into the cups. Well I ripped it and now have three that are looking good. The bottom fan leaves of the clones are yellowing at the edges but the new growth looks good, so I'm going to just let them die naturally and hope for the best!
i just took four clones from a ladie that was three plus weeks into flower, cut it off at an angle, scraped about an inch of the skin at the base of the cutting off, dipped into superthrive and stuck into a cup of MG soil. no spraying, no dome, nothing and had a 100% success rate. that was under a couple of CFLs.
weird how things work out. mind had the same yellowing at the leaf tips. i think this is where they loose water or something. i just cut em back a little as they did it.
i know they'll pull through because you've got a green thumb!

Pic 1: is of the rooted clones that are continuing 24/0 for about another week until I find a permanent spot to veg them.
Pic 2: The cuttings that are starting to show signs of roots, but not quite ready to be planted yet.
You can definitely see the yellowing and the fan leaves dying off. I hope it doesn't worsen any more :( The new growth is looking good though. Just the bottom foliage.
as long as you get roots and the new growth looks good then all is well. the fan leaves are just casualties. no worries.

This BB genetic said it was a little more demanding to clone so I was iffy in the beginning doing it, but 2 weeks later and they finally root. Only the next few days will tell how things go. I was hoping to at least get a few clones rooted the first time trying and I'm already happy with the outcome. Puts a smile on my face to wake up and see roots coming out the peat pellet :D All is well though. I'm excited for these next few weeks on the ladies I have in flower now. I think one of them might be a 10 week grower as it's more sativa looking then the other one. Again, only time will tell!
Decided to throw up a few more pictures while I watered them. Also, I found some spider mites AGAIN underneath the fan leaves, so I sprayed them down with some more Organicide. I didn't even check to see if it was alright to spray them during flowering, but not much I could really do considering I had nothing else. Sooooooo, now I'm just hoping for the best. I am going to let them try and dry out a bit before placing them back under the lights. I don't want them to spot my plants with the water droplets!
Anyways, onto the pics..... :stoned:
Pic 1: The top of the indica dominant BB. You can see the bud phase beginning :D
Pic 2: The leaning toward sativa dominant BB. Can't really see much yet, but it will pick up in a few days!
Pic 3: Both BB side by side! Left is sativa dominant and right is indica dominant!
Enjoy!
hey italiano, get some equate brand (walmart) bedding spray. it's in the pharmacy section. it's used for lice. it's also only ~$4.
the main ingredient is permethrin. i use this on my snakes' tanks when they happen to get mites. when you have your plants in the tub for watering spray your area down. it dissepates quickly. (when it's dry/dissepated you have no worries. i can put the snakes back in their tanks as soon as it's gone.) as soon as it's dry you can put the ladies back. do this about once every 3-5 days for a couple of weeks. this should help out.
check it out here.
the ladies look awesome by the way! can't wait to see those buds.
-shake
i'm no expert but agree with you shake, as long as the new growth is good all is well, the yellowing could have been the clones feeding of the leaves. keep up the good work italiano:thumbsup:Quote:
