sweet! good investment warfrat! you can pick up a pH kit for an aquarium (freshwater) at petco or the like for ~$6. and then you can get some pH up/down for ~$3 each.
it made a huge difference to me. my water out of the tap was over 8! yikes.
depneding on your water's pH, you might have a nute lockout. you want to aim for somewhere between 6.3 - 6.8.
now get some work done!

Another week or so on...
here's the topped one. A bunch of the lower leaves turned yellow and fell off. I bought a pH test kit, but it's not very accurate. But from what I can tell it's right in range in the high 6s. I flushed it twice a few days apart and gave it a light feeding with Veg nutes to hopefully address what appeared to be late flower N deficiency. It seems to be doing a bit better and the leaves have darkened/perked up a bit.

This is the one that I almost killed re-potting it early in its life. It started flowering about three weeks later than the others without proper vegging. It shot right up and caught the other un-topped plant, and is now hands down the frostiest of the three. I've read that stress can increase resin production, I wonder if that's what's going on here.

Here's the other un-topped plant. Still looking good. It's been on the same schedule as the ragged looking topped one but seems to be responding much better and is much healthier.

Right now the Trichs are about 25/75 Clear/Cloudy. I just gave it a light feeding hoping to fatten the buds up a bit in the last couple of weeks here. Any sense on when I should switch back to just water for the harvest, best guess I'm still around two weeks out. Any input?

Hard to say Shake. As this is my first go round and they're unknown seeds I have no real idea. I'm planning on harvesting early in the window, maybe 75/25 cloudy/amber to increase the head high/up quality of the smoke. But I don't know how long it'll take them to go from the 25/75 clear/cloudy to the 75/25 cloudy/amber that I'm looking for. Just going to play it by ear (by which I mean microscope) for now.

yeah. my bad warfrat. i didn't see the bottom of the post where you had put that info. and i was just asking about a general time frame, but you answered that with the unkown first grow part.
checkin the trichromes is the only way to go though.
how long have they been flowering for?

My record keeping isn't great. But, it was probably the second week in April, since I started the log on the 19th and said it had been in flower for 2 weeks (but when I thought about it later figured it had probably only been 9-10 days). So that puts us at about right about 7 weeks (amazing how much longer it feels). So I'm thinking my two week guess has got to be pretty close. In which case today's feeding should maybe be the last.

June 1st update.
First, the grils in their closet. I'm still planning on moving things to the basement, but the project ended up being a bit bigger than I thought. There's a little girl there on the bottom left, been basically under 12/12 since germination because... well, I don't know (but not getting enough light way down there). The two tallest plants are about 22". I finally found something to do with some old video tapes (prop up the topped plant of course...)

Here's the topped plant again. Looking all sorts of ragged. I'm going to fill out a trouble shooting form in another thread just to rule out the possibility that there's something wrong other than standard late flower N deficiency. As of yesterday the trichs were nearly all cloudy.

Here's the one that was the runt. It's looking really good. It's about three weeks behind the others in flowering. Compared to the other two plants it's much frostier and the calyxs are much chunkier. Trichs on this are still mostly clear.

And here's the one that has been the beauty queen. I think I'm going to need to stake her up. As you can see she's starting to pull N from the lower leaves. She's about 22", as you can see from the photo about 7" of that is top cola. The trichs are almost all cloudy with a few clear stragglers as of yesterday.

Can't wait to see those babies ripen, you mine as well stake them now while you can still see the stem. Those buds look like they are going to get huge and put on some serious weight.

Well, here's the topped one. It's not seeming like it's progressing much. I flushed it again today and then gave it a light feeding. Very few trichs, crispy leaves. I gave it a Cal/Mag boost last week. It's looking crispy even though it's had water, I'm pretty sure I'm not overwatering, but then again it doesn't seem to be taking much up lately. Under the microscope the trichs are small and about 100% cloudy.

Here's the one that was the runt. Still looking nice and frosty. It definitely stretched more than I would have liked from going into flower so small. But nice dense buds and big calyxs. A definite candidate for re-vegging/cloning.

Here's the untopped lady. Looking a bit crispy. You can clearly see the spotting that made me think that there was some Cal deficiency going on. Watered today with some molasses, treated with Cal/Mag last week. Continuing to fatten up. Only a few hairs have turned so far. No amber trichs showing yet, she's taking a bit longer than I thought she might.

Well, I would have expected to have harvested by now, but they seem stubborn.
Here's the topped one again, looking all sorts of ragged and crispy. Haven't seem much change in her except for crispiness. Maybe a bit more trich development and a wee bit of fattening up, but that just might be wishful thinking. Still not much on the trichs. There are some visible under magnification, just the odd amber popping up at this point, despite a lot of red hairs. If trich development is the best indicator of potency then this lady might just be destined for a butter bath. That crispiness is bothering me, she's been getting water, only light ferts. I'm thinking that's from what I'm pretty sure was a Cal deficiency.

Here's the original of the untopped plants. Like her topped sister she's looking pretty crispy. In the third pic you can clearly see the spotting that led me to the Cal deficiency diagnosis. Quite a bit frostier than the topped one. Still mostly cloudy trichs with the odd amber.

Here's the one that was the runt. A couple weeks behind in flowering, kind of spindly b/c of lack of proper vegging. I'm kind of amazed though that this and the other untopped plant are almost exactly the same height (within a couple of centimeters). This one has yet to show signs of the Cal deficiency that the others showed. This one is in different soil than the other two though. They are in a mix of MG Organic Potting Mix and perlite, this one is in just "topsoil" and perlite (I'm pretty sure that's what the bag said, it's basically just washed dirt, much heavier and more dense than the MG mix). She is by far the frostiest, and has much bigger calyxs than the others, I'm really hoping that she takes well to re-vegging. It'll be interesting to see the difference in potency b/t this and the topped plant, if trich development is a good indicator of potency, then this one should be a beast. Trichs are pretty much all cloudy, an odd clear and an odd amber.

Well, there must have been a bit more Sativa in these ladies than I thought. They seemed to take forever to finish. I harvested today and they were only around 15-25%, but I did want harvest early in the window to emphasize the social high. I chopped the topped plant all the way, I might need to do more trimming on it as it had a lot of leaf compared to the bud. The other two turned out better (I've gotta think of names for these things). I left some growth one those plants to reveg them.

Here's the topped one, cut and trimmed:
http://boards.cannabis.com/members/w...e2332-top1.jpg
Here's the top cola of the one that was the runt. It didn't produce a ton, but it seems to be the best quality, hopefully the reveg will take and I can rock some clones.
http://boards.cannabis.com/members/w...re2335-un3.jpg
Here's the top cola of the other untopped plant, it's pretty dense. Pretty good production I'd say all told:
http://boards.cannabis.com/members/w...re2334-un2.jpg
Here are the two untopped plants after I cut them. I wanted to leave enough so it would reveg, hopefully leaving the flowers on won't mess it up. I thought about trying to pull those last little buds off, but it didn't seem worth it.
