79 F and 40% is just great,dont change a thing.
Dive:stoned:
hey 420, I see you have the digitek ballast even one of the newer, purple models.
How do you like it, have you tried putting a fan to it and keeping it very cool, also have you put a wattage meter up to it and seen what your maximum, wattage draw is and and at what time?
Also, have you used regular ballasts, how do they compare to the light start up procedure or sequence of the digitek? How do they compare on wattage draw and what time does your max draw take place are they at different times (the digi and the reg. ballast)? Which one do you like better? Have you used both type of bulbs MH and HPS on the digitek ballast? How did they compare to each other on the same ballast, as far as a fire up sequence? Did the MH take allot longer to fire up than the HPS? And I think finally do you take light readings and measurements throughout the light cycles and bulb's life's?
just curious about those digiteks, I hear so much bad about em, but I have never seen anything better other than the sun.
Hey 420, just been ready up, congrats so far, by the sounds of it, things are on there way :)
I've just started a few seeds myself. Kiwi Strain, dont know much about it, i've heard a couple things but not much. This will be my 3rd time around, and from my knowledge your doing awesome so far, and like a few said before me your humidity is fine, temp is fine. Awesome sir.
Im gonna have to start my own log shortly, i just started germinating.
Hello. I like it. It stays cool. I didnt check wattage. This is my first time with this ballist setup. Yes Ive used MH and HPS in it and you would already know this had you actually read my log...:thumbsup:Quote:

Thanks for your comments. Some of my plants are using the sun in their grow cycle so I'll get to compare inside VS outside.:hippy:
Thanks for watching and welcome ! Good luck on your grow and if you need any help, these forums provide a vast arsenal of knowledge . You Canadians have some good beer and Bret Hart is an icon! lol Stay tuned, I'll be posting more pics sometime this weekend.:hippy:Quote:

If you notice any white patches in the pictures, it's just for safety measures. All of these pictures were taken right BEFORE I watered them so if they look dry, that's why. I also turned off the MH light so I could take pictures easier.
Pictures:
1st-White Dwarf 1
2nd-White Dwarf 2
3rd-G13 SS Fem
4th-G13 Thai SS
5th-The whole family
Any small little sprouting cups you see are just going to be in there temporarily for a few weeks then going to random discreet locations outside. I'm sorry if any of the pictures are hard to see. :hippy:
Here are more pics.

looking good 4204L! nice work.
i need to do some guerilla gardening. that might be hard in the middle of dallas. lol.
but you never know....

Thanks man. Yeah it seems I'll have about 10 plants growing at random, middle of nowhere locations within a 10 mile radius of my house.:D Only 3 or 4 plants will finish inside.Quote:

Typical weather lol
lol. is that rainy weather perhaps?

I wanted to show people the potential that my 2 white dwarfs have. I never thought AF dwarfs could get really dank until I browsed the web for grow logs of it and I found these pictures...reminder these are NOT from my grow but wow...I hope my dwarfs turn out this good.:hippy::stoned:
Couldn't edit my post so had to reply. I wanted to add that those pics above were grown with JUST CFLs and 2 of the 3 FF nutes!:wtf:
The dwarfs and G13 Thai SS received their second feeding of FF Grow Big with a pre-adjusted pH of 7.0. I don't care to measure run off unless I have a problem. I'm watering each plant on an 'as needed' basis. The temp is currently 74F with 55% humidity. All the plants are green and healthy, even the 1 8BK perked up. They are all on 20/4 400w metal halide light cycle . One of the dwarfs is already confirming it's a female while the other seems like it's a little slower but I expect a 2nd confirmation in a few days. The G13 Thai will go outside in 2 weeks while 1 8bk will go a week after that. So that leaves my 2 white dwarfs, 1 G13 Super Skunk feminized, and 1 8 Ball Kush for indoor. If you haven't already read Jorge Cervantes Growers Bible, I highly suggest it.:hippy:

I was using a T5, F20, Walmart " grow light" and 60w CFL for the first 2 weeks or so then switched to MH.Quote:

Just letting you know I will be following from now on. I'd like to grow my very own plant in the fall so I have all summer to learn from your genius brains here.
Well I am posted not to far away from this log so I will be checking back on 420 after I smoke. Got 1 blunt of northern lights for wakeupBAke:jointsmile:

As promised, pics on 4/20 of my 2 confirmed ladies plus the G13s. One of my 8 Ball Kush was transplanted outside already and the other is still small so I didn't take a picture. The dwarfs got their last dose of Grow Big (so 3 feeds of GB total) on Saturday 4/18. I will feed them just distilled water until Thursday when I will start Tiger Bloom/Big Bloom. G13 Thai SS will continue to get just GB while G13 SS fem will get her first taste of GB on Thursday. Temp right now is 75F with 48% humidity. 400w Metal Halide conversion bulb on a 20/4 light schedule. I will switch to HPS in 6-7 days.
The pictures are:
1-White Dwarf1 in the early stages of flowering
2-White Dwarf2 in early flowering.
3-White Dwarf1 overhead view
4-G13 Super Skunk feminized
5-G13 Thai SS
Happy 420! :vap_smiley: :hippy:
are you following the fox farm feeding schedule?
it recommends feeding grow big and big bloom throught veg (the big bloom is pretty much every feeding).
rusty trichrome recommends using half dosages twice a week for a full dosage amount as they can run a little "hot". they also cause salt build-up pretty quick so make sure to flush once a month or so.
the feeding schedule is on the fox farm website. and check out some posts about the FF nutes. there are several around.
the plants are looking lovely by the way!
good growing!

Thanks Shake. I am just trying my own feed schedule based on lots of grows and info I read. I am going to flush accordingly and monitor the plants closely. I cant wait to see some buds in a few weeks. I think this grow has a lot of potential.:hippy:Quote:

I see that you are now using the MH, have you noticed any difference yet? Also, why are you switching to HPS? You have two autoflowers and a regular strain in the box, won't that affect the regular strain, possibly making it bloom to soon? I plan on doing some autoflowers aswell, should I MH in the first month, and HPS in the second? Or does that really even matter?
you guys flush in veg? I haven't had to flush other than pre harvest or I thought I may have over fed them once. I have not used FF, I had been using the complete BC starter kits for the last 3-4 grows (plus many additional suppliments) and no salt appearing, no nute lockout. Am I just lucky or am I missing something?
Yes I have noticed a big difference. The plants LOVE the MH. I'm switching to HPS because HPS is more for flowering. The regular plants won't flower because the lights will remain on 20/4 until the AFs are harvested. The day I harvest the AFs, I will pop MH back in and go to 18/6 and then eventually 12/12. You could really do an entire grow start to finish with just HPS or just MH and everything would turn out fine, people have done it, read around the grow logs.Quote:

My veg flush is basically just 3 seperate waterings of just distilled water. I haven't experienced salt build up yet, as I'm monitoring ph pretty good. However, I did have a little bit of nute burn on the tips of a couple lower leaves.
They are really starting to smell up the grow area and there are nice resinous white hairs coming out. I'm also about 70% sure that my G13 Thai SS is a female which is great news. Temp and humidy is currently 76F/52%. Thank you for your comments guys, keep 'em coming and if you don't mind, throw me some rep! lol More pics coming on Monday.:hippy:
4204life, I think you will be pleased with your dwarfs they do continue to grow while finishing and get close to 2 ft. I can tell your two girls are loving your care.

I am probably just gonna start of with something simple, maybe the basic lowryder. Did you order Regular or Fem AF seeds? Another question I had was about light leaks, they are irrelevant in a dwarf grow? Is that correct?
So my computer of 5 years finally took it's last power breath this past weekend...:( I just ordered a new one today and typing this on a friends laptop that I'm borrowing.
The pics will have to wait until I can install the camera software on my new PC.
So we're now past the halfway mark for the white dwarfs. :DThe dwarf ladies are doing great and smell delicious. They have had their first taste of Tiger Bloom and Big Bloom and are responding well. I will add Open Sesame to the mix in about a week. I cant wait to be harvesting some buds in about 30-40 days. Breeder suggests 65 days from seed to harvest but I want to ensure amber trichs so rather than waste money on a microscope, I'll simply flower a little longer. I don't care if it's 5% amber or 20% amber, but I know I'll have SOME amber lol:smokin:
My G13s and Kush are all getting Grow Big now and doing just fine.
Hope everyone is healthy and tokin'/vapin' some good ganja!:hippy:
A few pictures that I was able to upload today. You will notice in the first picture that the G13 fem SS has some issues going on with her leaves. I think this is due to transplant shock because I upgraded her to a bigger pot. I could be wrong though.
As you can see, both white dwarfs are flowering nicely. HPS still on 20/4. I am considering trying 19/5 but I don't know how much of a difference it would make:hippy:
be careful letting your ladies go to long. once they pass the "event horizon" the THC starts to degrade quickly.
-shake
Agreed. I think they have at least 30 days to go before harvest. They smell amazing though. It's not skunky or piney but more of dank sweet earthy smell.Quote:

not sure how it will work for you this late in flowering.

Hey shake I'm not on a 12/12 light cycle. Read the grow log man:thumbsup: lolQuote:

The last 12-14 days will be nothing but distilled h20 for the final flush.
I need some advice on my light cycle. The breeder and most reading I've done suggests to keep the auto flowers on 20/4. I've seen people grow AF strains on 18/6 but read mixed opinions on weather or not 18/6 makes AF yields smaller or bigger. Since I am on 20/4, I was considering going to 19/5, what do you guys think?? My original plan was just to keep everything on 20/4 until harvest time for the auto flowers, then after harvest, switch the remaining MJ plants to 18/6 for 2 weeks, then 12/12 to start flowering (since they are normal strains).:hippy:
my bad 420. i just remembered reading the comment about 30 days til harvest and forgot that you had those AF strains. i read through a lot of logs.
and i understand that you are doing your own nute schedule, but it wouldn't make sense to use the open sesame if you were 30 days our from harvest. just making sure you don't blow your money.
don't know much about the AF strains. from what i have read though they aren't wonderful for much of anything. i'll look and see what i can find.
there shouldn't be much difference from the 20/4 19/5. and why switch the remaining "regulars" to 18/6 for two weeks. i mean it won't hurt (if you have the space, remember the stretch!).
-shake
Thanks shake. I know AF strains aren't the strongest or highest yielding but I like the simplicity factor. Plus it gives me an early harvest while I await the REAL ladies:D They are coming out with more potent strains gradually. I think over time the strains will adapt more of the cannabis traits and produce stronger buds. For example, Lowryder #2 is superior in high and yield to Lowryder #1. From what I gather, the strongest AF strains are the auto AK47s, Diesel, White Widow, and maybe the blueberry strains. I'm not looking for nug quality from the AFs, just some really good seedless middies.Quote:

Temp/humidity inside grow room is 79F/47%. G13 fem is starting to heal from her transplant issue. I will post more pictures on Monday.:hippy:
Some Day 45 pics of the dwarfs. Sorry the quality isn't better, I think it's only a 5mp camera.:hippy:
