I would have thought it obvious that my point is: purple coloring has absolutely nothing to do with potency ... paying more, just because it's purple, is just plain dumb ... in fact, the purples I have smoked, were pretty good ... but, only 'pretty good' :D
I always feel sad when I see pictures like that, because I know that there is nothing that good around here.
that's why it's always a good thing, to grow your own ... plus, it's a very enjoyable hobby ... I'm between crops, and I really miss fooling with my girls every day :jointsmile:Quote:

yep, my photos suck. i have problems with flash, without flash, indoors, outdoors... ;)

The Bubblegum.. Geesh! What can I say... It smelled like a freaking fruit basket when it was growing, and was by far sticker than the PK going at the same time. If you look at my fingers, you can see what's left after I rubbed off all the finger hash and scrubbed the hell out of 'em, even with rubbing alcohol!

i have had so many kinds of weed i dont know where to start.. i will just give the strain i smoked and what effects it gives and a rateing to help smokers who are fortunate enough to pick what strain they smoke :)
AK 47 - smoked this weed for years and it never gets old, had very long shelf time and seems like no matter how much use to the strain you are you will always get that full body and head highs and it will always be intense 9/10
white widdow - i found evry time i smoke this stuff it is weak and not that pungent as most other bud, the high always last only about an hour but when your there hold on :) 8.5/10
grapefruit - this is the best weed i have ever smoked hands down, you will find that this stuff can be purple as whell as green.. if you want more than a narcodic high that tastes like berries this is it 11/10
strawberry kush - full body high numb and warming effects, high last for hours and tastes better than it sounds and smells.. solid 9.5/10
N.Y.C diesel - first time i smoked this i had some kush on me as whell, after i got done smoking the kush i tried this and was baked for about 5 hours.. the first of the high i looked at the ground and it was waveing lol 9.5/10 complex.
bubba kush - most expensive weed i have ever bought, worth evry penny.. so dence you can roll alot of joints out of a gram.. but a gram of this will always be 15 or more.. i paid 20, this is probally tied with grapefruit 10/10
blueberry - intresting weed looks well when choped properly and if crossed with the right strain ie. blueberry kush is amazing.. but as it stands it has good taste, smells just like blueberry only downside high lasts only an hour or less and for this i give it an 8/10
northern lights - strong high that lasts long this stuff usually tastes like berries and normally got alot of red hairs 9/10
kush - not even going in depth most people already know all kush is good kush
hash plant - tastes and smells like high grade hash (hash like high) 8.5/10
bubblegum - pure bubblegum smell, pure narcodic like intense high 9/10
thats the 10 best weed i ever smoked.. oh yes i forgot this other amazing strain i picked up a half bag of this and it was some bomb nice weed called black widdow.. tasted like hydroponics :) and probally the most crystalls were on this bud more than any others 10/10
the 1 i would like to try the most would be grapefruit crossed with some kush... lets just say i probally wouldnt even smoke it.. just put it in a case for display :):)

I tried something called Ken's Grand Daddy which was noticeably better than the Grand Daddy Purple you usually see out there. Chem Dawg C4 is excellent as well.
The best I grew this year were,
Headband - great taste and high
Pure Kush - not sure about the history of this strain but great high and taste
Cheese - Known product. Excellent taste throughout the entire joint and great high
Sour Deisel - Tastes different but pleasant. Very stony.
Chem Dawg - tastes similar to sour diesel also strong high
Querkle - First time grow is now on the A list great taste and high.
Mendocino Purple - Turned out to have great taste and high. Also clones well and has major harvest.
Blue Dream - Excellent huge buds, great taste and high, easy smoking and large yield.
I don't have any pictures but the "real" OG kush will always be best in my mind...not the watered down og going around now...i distinctively remember this "og kush"...being just amazing...stinkiest shit,one hitter quitter, no crazy colors just straight green with red hairs...havent had my hands on that kind of OG in a good 5 years...

Funny you should mention Kens Grandaddy Rudy, cause my friend just hooked me up with some clones. Kens GDP and Purple Urkle. Vegatively you can not tell the GDP's apart. I have yet to bloom any, but I am very interested now that you say it's better cause my standard GDP was ridiculous! I'd like to stress a Super Silver and pollinate the Purple Urkle since they're both heavy yeilders. Though I prefer density, there is just something awesome about fatty colas.

heres some of my personal best.
I believe this to still be my top favorite strain of all time, Jack Herer x Haze aka Herer Haze.
It's been my avatar for a while for a reason. The only picture I have isn't the best but you can see what it's about.
It had a wicked color tone change from gold, to weird green hues and so on.
This stuff would keep you medicated for a longg time.

I just got a Jack Herrer from a person who had to give it up due to wife.
I hear really good stuff and really bad stuff about Jack Herrer. Some folks claim it is killer and others say it is a bust. I have had a couple of folks ask to trade Jack Herrer for some of my weed which I considered pretty average at the time. A friend of mine also said he had some and could not sell it. So I will grow it out and will be able to give my own opinion next fall. But I was wondering what folks thought about Jack Herrer in the mean time.
I have not had Jack Herrer, but I often hear mixed reviews on strains that are more difficult to grow such as Super silver haze which I didnt get right until my third round with it and Blue Dream which I have recently acquired and will try soon. I firmly believe that most strains have a sweet spot if you invest the time to learn where that is, usually through trial and error. You've just got to ask yourself, is the juice worth the squeeze when you have access to bullet proof strains that come out awesome and have little margin for error.If your trying to sell it then you probably shouldn't waste your time. I grow for personal use so I hate walking away from a strain before seeing its potential, especially when most stains available have won a cannabis cup or similar contest and must have been cultivated amazingly to have done so. Hence, proving they have potential. I don't have a large operation. I only use a 400 watt hps to keep my electrical costs down, plus I can only have 6 in bloom and 12 in veg at a time per the limits on my prescription subject to where I live. I feel like a real dweeb when I get a hold of a stain that has won comps and I cant get it up to par. Sometimes it takes a couple of rounds before understanding that particular strain, but I feel it is well worth it. Also I have found after taking on some of the harder strains, when you go back to one of the easier ones like the GDP (not Kens) pictured above you'll find yourself feeling like a fucking rockstar. On a side note, is there any difference in the lineage of the GDP to Kens GDP? or is it the same combo, just from a different breeder? I have a Kens clone and want to mother it, but am wondering if there is any difference. :S4:

Well, she purpled up a little. Couldn't really leave her outside at night since I have a new puppy who likes to chew things! The stinkier, the better. I cant really blame her though. I kinda want to chew them myself. A week and a half later and here it is! I hope you all enjoy the show:thumbsup:

Sorry, FYI these are just cut down. Shade leaves removed only(any leaf with the stem exposed) and I will do a dry weight follow up with pictures. Sorry, no wet weigh in. I don't own a scale. Which kinda sucks cause these are the most dense nugs I have ever witnessed. Seriously, you could knock someone out with the main cola. They're all rock hard. For real though, like an actual rock. You will hurt your fingers trying to squeeze them. Lol!
They look nice and should be killa dilla. The Super Silver Haze nuggets are hard as rocks too. I was worried that they would mould but that never happened. I was able to harvest when the trichomes were ready in late October.
