The plants are getting the nute water every other watering, with plain water the rest of the time. I figure I will put them into flower at the end of the month if they are big enough.
Not worried about smoke for now... still have 4 cure jars full.

By cutting off the lower 4 branches, you could be losing as much as a qp of cured bud when the plant matures. I would think that you would want the largest, bushiest plants you can grow, and FIM all the main branches to force more secondary branches. the more branches you have and the longer they are, the greater the yield. At least thats the logic in my engineering mind.Quote:

yeah, I believe ya got a male there ... keep an eye on it tho, make sure ... you mentioned "having 3 months in this grow" ... if your NCDG are 12 weeks old, you should have switched to the 12/12 light period, in the 6th-8th week ... she is FAST ... matured too long, can have odd results regarding sex ... :smokin:

2700 Kelvin is the best you can do with CFL/tubes.
I can get 300K by the case from one of the local electrical parts houses with no problem, they might have something of a lower color temp, but $$$ is a serious problem right now. forthat matter, I can have them order me cases of whatever I want... but again, the money issue.Quote:

I been using 5000K "sunstick" tubes. I do need to check with the supply house to see what they got and what their prices are. I do get wholesale prices there as I am a licensed contractor.Quote:

<sigh> I finally had to cut down the male, but the 2 females that are left are going nutz. I am having to raise the top lights almost daily. I startef the flowering light cycle on Dec 6th. Still running the 5000K side lights but hope to change at least half of them to 2700k today. the top lights are half 6800K and other half is 2700K. I gotta see what kind of deal I can get on a case of the 4ft T12 tubes. I will post some new pics later.

It's weird. Last night I had the windows open and it was 62 degrees. Never had Christmas lights in open window before.:) This morning it's 27.9 degrees and ice on the ground.
It was 80+ here yesterday, woke up this morning and it was 18 including the wind chill. :wtf: its like they say, if you dont like the weather in tx wait 20 minutes. :rastasmoke:

I had to cut down one of the 2 NCDG because it was male... whats left is 1 Arjans Ultra Haze #1 that is not 30 inches tall, and 1 Nor Cal Daddy's Girl that is 26 inches tall. Here's the current pics... they are 2 weeks into flowering.

Hey,more light for the remaining strains Mississippi...NorCalDG and Arjan'sHaze are some damn fine strains,may they be so female that they make Hillary Duff look like a man,lol!!!:thumbsup:
Finished my NCDG plant. The buds looked like they got rolled in powdered sugar, and super sticky..... filled 3 cure jars with nothing but bud. The top cola before drying was an ounce and a quarter. This stuff rocks!! very very tiny amount in the waterpipe will get you very much wrecked. Taste is like blond hash with a hint of skunk, and a side of pine tree. I do *NOT* recommend NCDG for the casual user.
Did I forget to mention that my Arjans Ultra Haze #1 is 3 months into flower, and she should finish in mid March. BTW... I figured out that if you grow a 6 - 8 week flower, with one that has a 12+ week flower, you end up with 2 harvests from the same grow, spaced about 1 1/2 months apart. keep a steady supply of premium smoke in the cure jars.
what was ur total weight for this grow? And did you say this was your first grow? If it was you did something right. Nice grow man.
