yup, back in sunny California  ... great weather right now, highs in the 80s, and lows in the 50s ... woke up near Ely, NV to a 16-degree morning last week, so this feels great ...
Sweet man, just a tumblin tumbleweed.
I'm living my road trip dreams vicariously through this thread.
*sigh
Great thread thanks man.. Nothin like road tripping......... Rolling on.. easy d:rastasmoke:
gonna get crowded, living out here on the road, if people keep losing their homes :wtf: ... my current problem is finding remote, peaceful camping areas, that still keep me in cellular internet range ... not so easy up here in the mountains, and I just CAN'T be a flatlander :D ...

Hope you had a great time.
I took the 'middle route', thru northern NM, into UT and NV, so 'Continental Divide' pics mostly the southern end (Taos, NM area, etc), not quite as mountainous, but very pretty ...Quote:

wow, tired out :wtf: ... got off my ass long enough to install a roof vent shroud on my trailer yesterday, then, today, I installed a 130-watt solar panel on the van roof ... will wire it all up tomorrow, just in time for our '7-days straight' of predicted rain :wtf: ... story of my life: perfect timing
Awww damn IR! Least ya got some stuff done. Great pics, hope all is well. My NCDG seedlings are doing great!
Keep on keeping on!

:wtf: ... why did my 'solar panel' type turn into a commercial link ??? (I didnt do that) :wtf:Quote:

shit :wtf: ... got my mail today, a letter says the new CA state budget has taken away a major Medicaid benefit, starting Nov. 1st (lots of prior notice, eh?) ... they'll no longer pay my Medicare Pt.B premiums ... that's another $96/month out of the old pocket ... :S2: (what, me worry?)
:wtf: Wow Reaper,
Very sorry to hear this news. Maybe we ( the people of the U.S.) should have bailed out our elderly and others on fixed incomes instead of bailing out some assholes in the banking industry.
I am sure you will figure out something!
Peace and light.
no worries, I don't need money :wtf: (it's the people I OWE that need the money) :S2:
Hey Reap, what company manufactures that particular panel? It looks real familiar...
They get ya where ever they can huh IR?
:joint1:
mine is a 130-watt Kyocera ... Kyocera is pretty popular, the last few years ... supposed to be one of the better brands, 20-year warranty (lifetime for me :D) ... :thumbsup:Quote:

reaper, this looks like one great road trip, if you ever decide to do a global trip, there will allways be a welcome and a big fat j here on the southcoast of england waiting for you, stay cool and enjoy:thumbsup:
man, i hope its going great for ya, i just saw a gas station with gas price only 20 cents higher than the old pic u posted in this post!!!!! totally needed a camera which i dont have on my cellQuote:

I expect gas to follow the same formula as in the past ... prices go UP in the Spring, with more demand, and back down (a little), in the Fall when demand lessens ... just heard on yesterday's news, Exxon/Mobil set another profits record for the quarter ... I 'think' the newsman said $80 Billion, should be some happy fat-cat investors today
true, but i live in the moment, now i can have a windfall of savings from my budget, gas price is now slashed by about $1.5 a gallong around here just compared to september, and eventhough i drive a tiny asian fuel saver, i still have to drive like 100 miles daily which u know saves a whole buncha money for mehQuote:

that should last me a Looooooong time, perhaps it will rot b4 i finish it:jointsmile:
im not sure if u r still on the road or how much longer u will stay on the road, but i certainly recommend u check out gasbuddy dot com to get the best deals wherever u r, just in my city the highest and lowest prices difffer some 70 cents on daily basis nowadays
thanks for the Gas Buddy tip, Imam ... I'm still roaming around, finally got my solar setup finished, and now it's raining and overcast :( ... have a small generator that gets me thru the overcast days, though ... runs about 6 hours per gallon, and I only need to run it about an hour to charge my batteries, anyway ...
Lovely scenery IR? I am jealous man, hope all is going well in your travels!
:joint1:
I wish things were going well, too :wtf: ... if I'm 'up in the hills', I'm left alone, but no water, TV, or cellular internet available ... if I even get near a town, I usually wake up to a middle-of-the-night knock on my door, telling me I 'can't sleep here', etc ... I'm seeing a LOT of people living in their cars, etc., and with this economy going down the crapper, city folks better get used to 'urban campers' parked in their neighborhoods ... and, if the Dems win, I will soon have my self-defense arms taken away, on top of it ... being 'mobile' ain't no piece of cake, my friends ... be careful what ya wish for
Wife and I are planning a road trip on the motorcycle to Canada to do some upclose seed shopping.
Hope you had fun.
you coming through southern colorado? i see you have been in new mexico. beautiful up here right now and the seasons harvests are in fulllll swing.
not likely for awhile, maybe next Spring ... my son is currently living in Colorado Springs ... I'm not much of a Colorado fan, too many experiences with the Colorado Highway Patrol/State Police when I was still driving truck (largest percentage of assholes I've ever seen, where do you find those jerks ?) :wtf: ... I do like the Wolf Creek Pass, Pagosa Springs, area, and thru Montrose, etc. ... lots of pretty country there, for sure ... now, get back to your manicuring :DQuote:

I have NEVER been able to successfully grow outdoors, Indoor Growing seems to be my niche ... always sumthin', deer, wind, rain, bugs, stampeding zebras, whatever it takes, to destroy my garden :( ... maybe next season, I'll be able to break the pattern :) ... :smokin: (friggin' zebras piss me off)
Have a safe winter...IR...
Damn, mice ate all my papaya seeds last winter...except for one beautiful male, that I couldn't use at the time...:(
Keep safe IR!! I would paint some stripes on the van...might keep em away:greenthumb:
