Weedhound well wishes! (changed title from 'stinky')
1st things 1st: dear weedhound, I just came across this thread. I'm sorry to hear both of these news and I wish your health recoups and gets better, no matter how stupid I may sound to some people, I PERSONALLY have seen people with far far more adverse health situation than a lung cancer, those who were told by doctors they will not survive much longer, beat the odds and miraculously survive far more than expected.
I aint bullshittin, this happened to two people i know personally and 1 was in an almost dead situation in coma from some serious lung disease that i have no idea what it was. and im talking about the health capital of the world: houston medical center's doctors said "they are sorry"
fate is not under any1 control, if something is supposed to happen it will happen no matter what we do.
so be hopeful and strong. man is one of the toughest species because of his mind power despite his relatively weak physics.

My life has taught me this: The more this supposed god loves u, the more u will be tested by him/her and the harsher the tests will be. I cant really get into the concept of explaining this here, but I figured those that are disliked by god will have their earthly life and wants given to them to keep them busy and ignorant.
when u face challenges in life, this means u still have god's attention (love) and must do your best regarding those challenges.
we are humans with limited understanding of the world compared to that of god's, and that is why we always have questions regarding his/her ways in doing things in this world. some will never make sense to us till we are alive.
anyways, I hope things go better for u in future

Weedhound,
I've been off the boards for a while (new business and a high maintenance rescue dog have kept me too busy to log in much recently), so I was shocked and more than a little emotional to read your news.
I just wanted to drop in to say 'Hi', I'm thinking of you and to stay strong!
Like a few others in the thread, I've seen people come out the other side after being given similar, seemingly bleak, pronouncements.
My wife 'faced down' her own doubts and fears after being given the news, and is still doing just great ten years on. As Weezard pointed out, something like this is beaten in your head and your heart.
Don't ever give in to it. Get stubborn, get angry and fight it every step of the way. It's the one crucial factor that medical science can't help you with, but makes all the difference.
P.S. I've had my little 'lad' (pictured below), about five months now, and he's given me a new lease on life, I'm fitter and more active now than I have been in years, and feel great for it. So, and forgive me if this is a bit too soon to hear, but maybe you should consider getting a new dog too.
The rescue centres over here are full of: the unloved, the unwanted, the sad and abandoned waifs and strays that some people just seem to casually discard, and I'm guessing that's the case in the States too.
I know you could give one a very loving home and a second chance, and I think it would be great for both of you, they're better than any medicine and won't give you the time to feel sad, scared or depressed.
Give it some thought anyhow.
All my best wishes

Flame I love animal rescue stories and although I'm not working now I spent my working life as a veterinary technician......the last ten in emergency medicine (and I MISS IT.....adrenaline junkie!) so rescue is pretty much the story of our farm.......every single animal here is a cast off from somewhere. They have given us much more than we have ever given them and has pretty much been "what we do". In fact the ten acre farm we bought was pretty much bought with idea of providing needed homes for our creatures.
We've had to slow a bit.......at one time I believe our top number was ten dogs.....now down to 7 (but 3 are chihuahuas so they don't really count) 3 cats, a rooster, the geese crowd, two pigs and three horses and at our ages we find that plenty. But again.......we've gotten more from these creatures than they have ever gotten from us. :)

Weezards point about meeting and making friends on the net.......
http://boards.cannabis.com/medicinal...ntom-pain.html
This man remains not only one of my best friends but also gives me huge amounts of hope in my own fight.......not to mention an ear to listen to and the advice of someone who's been to their own hell and back. I can't thank him enough for being there for me.
And I've never met him in person. ;)

Weedhound I should have guessed you'd be surrounded by love.
Yes, I'm a recent convert to waggy tails and wet noses (though I do love cats too - nearly said pussies but stopped myself just in time . . phew).
Hope to follow your example and get a big place out in the country one day and have loads. Somewhere with lots of woods and fields.
As it happens, I've just got in from a long walk with my 'boy', in the woods near where we are now. Bliss.
Lost two stone in five months, none of my clothes fit, I can slide me jeans off while they're still buttoned, and, I LOVE it!
So pleased to read about the recent news, I'm with Stinky on this, you've got serious credit at the 'good karma' bank.
Keep up the good work, keep your chin up, and keep doing what do!
Love (much of it)

Hey!
Have you gotten any of the e-mails I've sent? I probably tried 4 or 5 variations of the addy before I got it right :D

Id like to add (As someone else previously stated) since the doctors say it is incurable that could only mean it is incurable in America and treatment that actually saves lives is not approved by the money-making FDA. Most of Africa has lower cancer percentiles than America and their cancer prevention is a very expensive bottle of hydrogen peroxide at 59 cents. I recently read a book, you may or may not have heard of it, called Natural Cures they dont want us to know about. Check into alternative treatments outside of the states (if thats where you reside). America is all aboutthe all mighty dollar. Best wishes man

Fraid not Chron....but hope everything is going well with you.
We took down 2 AK 47''s and hung them to dry a few days ago. Came out at 76 grams which is not bad for two cloned plants considering our inexperience with soil.
Also we are down to last Haze plant in soil. :wtf: Two turned out to be male and this is the only girl left but I'm not really surprised at that ratio since they had several issues along the way including rootbound (I didn't want to transplant them up until we got them sexed so they got fairly squished which stressed them out and then we compounded the problem by heavily overnuting all three which meant I also had to flush all the crud back out so their "conditions" were certainly not what we had wanted to accomplish. BUT....having one girl we intend to transplant her into a larger pot and will indeed put her into something as large as a 10 gallon when (and if) she get big enough and just want to let her do her thing and see what she does. :)

Always good to see you Rhizome. :) Hope everything is well with you and yours.
Things are going pretty well these days......responding well so far to the chemo and feeling much better physically with those tumors shrinking and giving me a lot more lung space and that alone just feels good. :)

Hey Sis .
Concience is gettin the best of me . ;)
Despite our talk offa here , -n- our "Fuck what other ppl. think" attitude we share , I still feel bad for not posting here :( .
If you made sense out of anything we've talked about on / off here , and it was able to better your situation - I'm honored . To be honest - I really don't think I've done anything spectacular . 50% Survival instinct / 50% learning to use my charecter flaws to benefit me , instead of hurt me like I had the first 30 yrs. of life . This has been the 1st time my stubborness , muleishness , and bullheadedness has gotten me anywhere in life .
I call you Sis. for a reason . If you put us in a bag n shook it up and dumped us out we'd roll out at the same time . 2 peas in a pod . We don't just share the good quailites either , some of the same skelletons , -n- monkies :D .
I've learned from you too :) . There's only 2 ppl. I've come across that have made me wonder what it'd a been like not being an onlychild . Your 1 of them . I was blown away - you called the Dr. -n- postponed the 3rd round a lil so we could chat , you knew I was bent . ;)
G/B both you guys . Keep your chin up !!!
Xcrispi -n- Juicy J

Thanks very much everyone. X-C I'll send you an e mail. Are you trying to say we're two sides of the same doobie? :D
Wanted to share a quick story about an ultrasound I had on Friday. First the guy takes forever with the probe looking here and there and finally he says "I'll be back in a minute" in this tone that you just KNOW doesn't sound good.
Next thing you know there are three people in the room all looking at the screen and mumbling......one of them is the top ultrasound reading cheese and it turns out the tumor in my liver has shrunk so much they WERE HAVING TROUBLE SEEING IT! They finally found some small shadow.......it's gone from a softball to a golfball so that's quite a bit of shrinkage!! :woohoo:

Aloha, Weedy
What's the latest good news on the medical front?
Someone sent me a link about the "curative powers" of Pomegranite juice.
Published by the ACA, (American Chemical Assn.), funded, no doubt by the PMG, (Pomegranite Marketing Group).:D
So, call me cynical.:)
Da wife read it and promptly brewed-up 5 gallons of pomegranite-Blueberry wine.
Bless her heart.:s3:
They don't come any better than that gal.:lovestruck:
We were talkin' 'boutcha, in case yer ear was burnin'.
Knew you'd get a kick out of this story.
Jus' keep on gettin' mo' betta, please.

Weedy was a great friend, both in and outside this realm.
altho i never met her in real life, it felt like we did.
she was a dear friend to me.
she took me under her wing when i first started and showed up here.
if it werent for her i woulda quit before the wonders i discovered.
we used to email outside the boards and she was a super person.
i miss her deeply.
my only comfort is knowing she is no longer in pain.
Weedy, I miss you.
Rest in Peace.
Rock.
