Jerry Garcia's Blue Widow, Blue Apollo, and Mystery Seed From Start to Finish
Damn nice man. Mine are in the same phase of explosive growth now as well. Almost frightening to watch hehe. Sometimes when I sit and watch them for 5 minutes it actually feels like I can see the top leaves fold out.
This shit will overgrow the world one day and all other form of life will be sufficated. :D
There might be some small colonies of hippes here and there trying to smoke the world back in order but with this kind of growth even they will loose in the end.

During feeding last night I decided to take some random pics to show how the LST worked. I stopped LST ad am just letting them go vertical now. I am just starting to get alternating nodes and I was able to sex one BW female. :)
I will let them go one more week then it is flower time:). This feeding consisted of 3 tsp. Grow Big, 2 Tbls. Big Boom, and 1tsp. PH down.
I did not get a pic of the entire crop. But you will be able to see the results of my style of LST.
Going to be multiple posts.

My God they are growing so fast that I ran out of horizontal space awhile ago and they are going vertical fast, they are already 16'' tall.
So today I took 2 cuttings for cloans from each plant, and did some trimming. Gave them their first feeding of flower nutes, Switched to my 600 watt HPS, set the timer to 13 on 11 off.
All the plants already have alternating nodes, PLUS I already have 2 confirmed females by the preflowers. They will stay in their 2 gallon buckets until sex is confirmed on all plants. Then I will transfer males to the trash and the females to 5 gallon buckets to save time and soil! I then will also remove all the male clones from the dome cloner and keep the rest as mothers for my next crop.
Breakdown of crop:
5 Blue Widow
6 Blue Apollo
3 Mystery Seed
3 Blue Apollo seedling in limbo to be grown out later.
I will post pics shortly I am waiting for the bulb to cool down while writing this post.

Jerry Garcia's Blue Widow, Blue Apollo, and Mystery Seed From Start to Finish
Well it easier to writing on this pc. So here is the rundown on each pic.
#1 is a view down on that wonderful green canopy just after turning on the HPS. Some reason the camera color corrects the yellow.
#2 is a view from down under to show the stalks and growth from the LST each plant has a minimum of 6 main branches that will turn into large colas at
#3 is a side view of the canopy.
#4. is of the nutes used for this feeding [ 2 tsp. Tiger Bloom, 1/2 tsp. Open Sesimie. and 1 tsp. PH Down per gallon of water, then 1/2 gallon mix per plant and allowed to drain excess out bottom].
#5 is what I used to cloan each plant. Rooting starter powder, Rockwool cubes. I took each cloan from a branch from the main stem that was not going to amount to anthing from the bottom.
More to come.

wow jerry, your ladies are looking beautiful. I'm going to try and locate a hydro shop or anywhere that sells the FF nutes and i may take your advice and buy the whole line, or what I can afford lol. good luck with going into flower, i'm sure the girls will be happy. very nice strains btw, i'd like to try out the smoke and taste so maybe you can give a report when the time is right
keep up the good work,

Pic #1 is of the 3 BA plants that I did not have enough buckets for and have been growing in their starter pots to keep them root bound an growing slow. I plan on growing them out next grow until then I will grow them like a bonsai mother.
Pic #2 is of the cuttings I took today in the cloner with the dome off.
Pic #3 is all the plants in my cloning/mother box.
Mr.Goodmorning2,
I do swear by FF nutes and you are seeing why. These babies just want to grow right out of their buckets. My last strains did not grow with this vigor so I don't know what I am up against when they go into the stretch phase. My guess is they are going to top off at 36 to 45 inches tall. they kind of remind me of W/W #4 in my last grow sativa dominate and cant keep her tied down and finished with big long buddy colas:)

JG, that's some seriously trick photography! There is no way those are the same plants! HA! Dude, I was sold on FF nutes before the 4 day time-elapsed photos, but now there is no doubt I am going to order some!
All of your ladies are absolutely amazing! Thanks for sharing all of the nute information, and for sharing those photos to back up your writing. Be good out there!

hey jerry, nice plants. theyre looking pretty lively and bushy (or like they will be.) im just screwing around with lst on my first grow, but hopefull i wont stress em out any.
and while your on the topic, ive started with FF nutes (recommended from the local hydro store) and havent had any problems with them. except for when i overnuted with the grow big. gotta just ease it in, about the 2nd or 3rd week... nm. that big bloom stuff is killer though. makes your buds tasty:stoned:
but yeah. right on, beautiful plants, cant wait to see em in crazy full flower:hippy:

I sexed my plants tonight and I have 10 CONFIRMED yes 10!!! females and possibly 2 more out of 15!!!!!
What the fuck am I going to do, I have never grown more than 9 in my box and these plants are already 20'' to 28'' tall at 4 days into flower so I fully expect them to top out at over 40'' to maybe over 50''.
I do have cloans going of all of them so I have 3 choices
Grow them out some how!! I don't think I can fit 12 - 5 gallon buckets in a 4'x4' space. So this will mean coming up with smaller buckets. and very cramped grow space.
Or commit "HEMPISIDE" and keep only 9 that look like they will produce the most bud.
Or if I get the balls up! put them outside and hope for the best. this makes the most sense, but makes me very nervous and paranoid when I visit them and transport them.
So I am going to leave it up to you to help me decide on what to do:)
Leave your input or any other ideas you have to help me out of this situation.

Those are beautiful plants!
I'm not a grower (yet) but I have been reading pretty a lot about it, but I haven't heard anything about the 13/11 light cycle for flower. Can you tell me more about it? I've heard that 12 hours of darkness is necessary. Obviously a couple minutes will make very little difference, but an hour is quite a lot. Unless you are also using the 730 nm LEDs...

Jerry Garcia's Blue Widow, Blue Apollo, and Mystery Seed From Start to Finish
Nick,
How I came up with 13/11: Is after reading about lighting and the cannabis plant I found that 12/12 is not programed into the plant as to when to start flowering. All they need is the change in lighting time to make the plant feel fall is coming and it is time to reproduce. I go from 24/0 to 13/11 and switch from a MH bulb to the HPS at the same time. The changing of the time and the color of the light is enough for the plants to think fall is comming soon and is time to reproduce.
Reasoning for 13/11: From what I have read is that during lights out the plant cannot potosynthisize and is not growing. The extra hour over time adds up and supposibly increases gowth over time. (1 extra hour over 26 days adds 2 days of lights on at 13/11).
Does it make a differance?: I honestly am not sure. I have only done 13/11 with no negitive side effects and it works for me, So why change something in your growing technich when you are getting results exceeding all your expectations.

You saw my last grow, same thing happened. I had 12 seeds, all females and it was crowded but it worked out. I had them in a 30" x 50" space.
-
Jerry Garcia's Blue Widow, Blue Apollo, and Mystery Seed From Start to Finish
Thanks Shov.
Well I have come to the same decision. They are all going to remain in the box for now. I am going to somehow fit 12 - 5 gallon buckets in there and cut off most of the smaller branches from the LST that I normally let grow. In my last grows I never did this because I feel if it is going to produce a smokable bud I am going to let it grow. This was OK the last grows because there was enough space for them to get light and mature.
Now with the growth of these plants in high gear and I am beginning to see what the final looks of the plants and main colas are going to be like. So for the sake of space and I would rather get say 16 more main colas out of this grow, than an out of control grow for a couple more ounces of smokable bud. So I am going to trim these plants of the smaller branches this time around and see what happens.
Wish me luck and we will all see what happens as time goes on.

JG, those BA's are consistent as heck, eh? That's a nice strain indeed resulting in dang near identical sisters, and your green thumb isn't hurting things at all. Nice to see you are going to keep them all. 1 of my bagbeans ended up male, and I have him in my bathroom, as I find it hard to even kill off a male. I don't think I could kill off a female.
Keep fightin' the good fight, my friend!

i just wanna know with all your expertise, why you arent using mylar.
i think if you lined the walls with mylar you would have been able to keep the smaller branches becuase the light would have been reflected into under the canopy.
i had a 4x3x4 space with 9 babies and lined the complete room with mylar and every branch had beautiful nuggets regardless of the actual direct lighting. they say that reflected light from a 1000watt light is like an additional 400w for free.....
just some food for though.

I am back from 8 days vacation and my babies are a little thirsty but grew insanely tall. Most have crowned out so the stretch phase is over I hope, 2 have already out grown the highest light level of the box. Well I am only going to give heights tonight since it is LATE AND I AM TIRED.
