Awesome progress! Nice to see the ladies in new homes, they will DEFNITELY appreciate more space.
Congrats on the arrival of a 'named' strain. I am hoping this ONE Bubba Kush seed one of my buds had will be fem. Beyond that I will not be purchasing any named seeds until this Venture goes well. Meaning, I am harvesting.

Looking good though dude. Keep it Growing!

Newbie CFL Grow..Could use advice and criticism
Well i woke up this morning and looked at the babies they all seem to be liking their new homes......they are still a little saggy but i think the soil is the way to go......i only feed them 4 oz of water yesterday which i dont think was enough we will see.....I also misted the soil as i mixed it to make sure it was moist..(only 5-6 sprays per container).....
On another note....the reason i think the soil and ph is going to work......The plants i place outside i drenched in the remaining water.....Almost flushing the plants once again....I just looked at those plants....And wow....They almost look perfect....I hope the ones indoor start to perk up like the ones outdoors....The outdoor plants almost look better than the indoor ones., which was the complete opposite yesterday before the transpant and the flush of the plants in the 1 gal pots....
I think i will water tommorrow, i plan on checking soil before i water just to make sure its dry first...
See You soon
Killa12345
PS.....All the plants seem to be getting their 3rd node at this time some are on node number 2 but all the plants seem to be growing more leaves between the nodes which i guess means their not dying:)

Well its been 2 weeks...im watering them again today before work 4oz was just not enough water.....tried 5 oz today got a good amount of runoff.....tested it 6.8....good
After work...went to the hydro store.....wow they have expanded....and most of the prices are close to ebay if not cheaper in some cases.....and they had everything...from grow tents...verticle cool tubes...every single thing ive been looking for the last 3 weeks....im not going to waste my time anymore at hd or loews.....straight to the hydro store from now on....thank god i left my wallet in the car.....could of easily walked out of there 3 grands poorer...But back to the log..
While i was at work i did a lot of reasearch on lst'ing so i thought i give it a try when i got home from work.....i know its early...but ive read you can start as early as the 3rd leaf set which most of mine have 5 at this time....
Here are the pics
Pic1: All the babies in their new homes...getting bigger
Pic2: Nice top shot of the growth
Pic3: This plant will now be refered to as "droopy" but not for long
Pic4: Another top shot of growth
Pic5: Side view of growth

Here are the two problem plants i have:
Pic1: "droopy" - But if you notice droopy from its pic on May 12...it has completely doubled in size in 4 days....Nice..
Pic2: Here is the plant i will call "the one are bandit" The result of bad newbie ph leveles or something.....i think it will pull threw.

Well i decided im going to try to lst the plants tonight......most seem big enough one might be too small but i will just LST it too, for uniformity....
Here are some pics on my first LST'ing attempt.

Newbie CFL Grow..Could use advice and criticism
Here are some pics after the LST'ing last night.....wow they really respond fast.....last night a lot of leaves were touching the soil after LST'ing.....this morning almost none are touching the soil....
PS i used metal hangers cut into piece for the LST'ing...I plan on trying to wrap it around the pot.
Enjoy the pics
Killa12345
PS....pics 2 and 3 are of "droopy" doesnt look nice LST'ed

Nice work with the altered hanger. Don't you love it when a plan comes together? I hope this LST'ing goes well for you. And 'Droopy' is hanging in there. Stems on the Droopster are showing signs of some type of trama/stress, other than that the Droopster is keeping it moving.
Good job killa12345!

Might be too small for nutes still

stop the nutes. let them get established!
-
Newbie CFL Grow..Could use advice and criticism
I would say your soil mix is not good for the plants...
-
Newbie CFL Grow..Could use advice and criticism
I would have to completely agree with you Zeb...After doing much research on the soil companies i put the soil mixture together from....I came to the harsh conclusion that the soil has absolutely NO Nutes in it at all.....The potting soil had 80% peat and 20% perlite thats it....The cow compost had some minerals...but it seems not enough to sustain MJ by itself.....Lacking some serious trace minerals.
I bought some FFOF for the next grow which is commencing as we speak....i wont waste the FFOF on the bagseed grow....Ive started two White Label White skunk Seeds yesterday.....Germed 2...Two hatched in 24 hrs...now in jiffy pellets...Now waiting to pop out of the soil...Which i wont need nutes for atleast a month with the OF
I realize the PH problems ive had in the beginning are probably contributing to some nute lockouts im having now..But 4 of the 6 seem to only have their few two sets of leaves yellowing...so these might be able to pull through....Also....The pics in the log are before the nutes were added.....Since then...the plants are really getting back to growing....They were stuck for a few days..now they are back on a fast pace growing new leaves daily....We will just have to wait. Thanks for all the people that weighed in.....I will be updating the log with the new grow with new materials..
Also...My roommate found the box....likes it.....I brought the rubbermaid box back to the house....Put it in my closet....and now testing the temps...I think i got it...But i will continue to run the 2 boxes....One now in my roommates room and one in mine....You see how life works out.
Killa12345
PS...Got my second batch of seeds from Dr. Chonic today Took 5 days...Got 10% discount for belonging to another forum.....KC brains NL and Nirvana WW......Got a free pack of Critically Smashed ( White Rhino X Critical Mass)...now this make 5 different strains just waiting to be grown.
Ill update with pics in the next day or two.

Newbie CFL Grow..Could use advice and criticism
Ive been real busy lately and havent been able to update the log....
The plants are doing good.....all the old plants are now outdoors..i got tired of the plants and my soil problems, but they are still growing 3 of them are showing preflowers and are about 2 1/2 feet tall. Nothing really impressive...so ill update those pics when they flower outdoors.
But for now, here is my new project which are WL white skunk grown hydroponically in hempy buckets...Full FF line, full strength nutes from 4 days from seed(Following the FF nute schedule to a T). Here are some pics...Today they are 18 days old...The pics are:
Pic 1: Babies 4 days from seed...Day 1 of Hempy buckets and Nutes.
Pics 2,3: Babies @ 7 days old.
Pics 4,5: Babies @14 days old.
I plan to veg for another 2 weeks and flower

wow nice improvement, and glad to hear about your roomie. now you can have double the fun, or have a lil competion and see who can grow the better buds.
So far all looks fine and dandy, just be sure to fully let them dry out before watering again. I usually water right before they start to wilt, and give them enough so water runs out the bottom for about a half a minute.
stay irie

Here some pics before cloning....They will be cloned tomorrow...The bottom 6 shoots off each plant....
Since moving to their new homes they really spread out since sunday afternoon....its only 2 days and they got wide. Take a look.
I included the pics of the pre-flowers i have on both plants....sorry for the pics im using a handheld digital 10mp w/5x zoom, but when i look at the preflowers with a 15x magnefying lense...i can see little hairs growing from all the preflowers on both plants...really keeping fingers crossed at this point.
Pic 1 is a preflower i think on Thing 1
Pic 5 is a preflower i think on Thing 2

Heres a pic of the tray of clones i took of the plants.....I took 13 clones total on Thursday..Today is sunday...all still look perky...The white skunk plants have been in bloom for 2 days.....starting to really show preflowers(but small)...i think they might both be males or at least one is a male...idk(not sure, but ill wait for a definite sack of balls before i chop my grows.) I really need one to be a male...because i dont have this much room for all these plants....the clones were for a friend that had to breakdown his room after a bad situation(better to be safe than sorry).
-
Newbie CFL Grow..Could use advice and criticism
so i love your grow log.. FYI! you WL is looking dope! that sucks about your friend but like they say, A friend with weed (grower) is a friend indeed. Hopefully your clones take root. so how long has your ladies been in flowering now? but im gonna follow your thread to see you outcome... its gonna be AWSOME!

thanx camoznhx...
Im really surprised how these are growing also...Just Bushes..with CFL's.(especially after blasting them with nutes...A growers..NO.NO!)
The plants are 3 days into flowering....maybe i was being a bit pessimistic im my last post....I really think i got one female and one male, but with my luck would...idk.
Thanks once again for everyone that been with me to this point...i appreciate the comments.
PS.....The friend deal.......Friend got a flat tire, and found a GPS tracking device on the bottom of his car.(F*cking Jackers)...

Thanks shovelhandle...
I guess soil just aint my thing....i had a little success before on a large commercial hydro grow before getting ratted out by my greddy girlfriend.....i guess i just stick to hydro for now....thanks for the comments.
Here what the plants look like Yesterday...Two days into flower 3 days after being raped for clones.
-
Newbie CFL Grow..Could use advice and criticism
here are my clones....They are now 7 days old......the 9 clones you see out of the dome have been that way for 24 hrs. Im trying to get them used to the lower RH. The 4 clones in the dome are just not ready for the low RH.
Heres a pic.

I think starting with a feminized seed would be ideal....unless it hemied on you....I didnt because i didnt know if my seeds would get here....now that i know...i will be ordering a whole lot of Fem seeds in the future.
Here are my clones on Day 8...i woke up this morning to move some of the clones around and noticed some roots. Heres some more pics: enjoy and Happy 4 of July to all of the Americans.

Heres some pics before Thing 1 babies head to the Trash.
Well i came to the sad realization today that Thing 1 is a male. Deep down inside i knew this for almost 2 weeks now, but had to make sure based on these are some of the best plants ive grown to date. I really think Thing 2 is a male too....I told everyone from the start i have the worse luck in the world.
I decided not to start any seeds for right now.....I will order some new seeds on Monday from the Doc....This time im going to go for CH9 Green Bud and a mixed pack of Fems from CH9 also(plus whatever freebies i might get). Since i figured out cloning, I figured id start with some fem seed this next time and get a few mothers going. Ill probably buy a pack of mental floss also, because ive been dying to try this and Chimera's room just burnt down so i thought it couldnt be a better time to order this strain.
The other day i said i considered this grow a success, but today im kinda bummed out(other than UFC starts in an hour). I just spent 41 days taking care of two males(i dont even want the seed and pollen at this point, but will leave Thing 1 outside in hopes of not a complete loss of investment) I just bought 600hps and im going to order a homebox L for my next grow. Should be started by next monday, based on the doc quick turnaround time. Heres some final pics of the balls on Thing 1 and pics of the clones that are going in the trash.

Well here are some pics of Thing 2...He is a male too....All the clones are now trash...Thing 1 is in the garden. Here are the final pics of Thing 1 & 2. I would say they are around 30 inches.....Last night they grew into the lights got a little burnt, but who cares now! I just started some Critcally Smashed in paper towel this morning, and ill start a new log once the hatch. Also still going to order new seed and a homebox tomorrow.
Enjoy the Final Pics:
Pic 1: Thing 1
Pic 2: Thing 2
Pic 3: thing 1 in garden
Pics 4-5: Thing 2 male sex parts

I cloned at 27 days of veg, which was the 31 day from seed....I could of cloned about a week earlier, but waited because i thought my friend was going to help me out....He didnt...I cut them at 27 days. i didnt fim, lst, pinch or any type of way of bushing the plants out....except...everytime i watered them i pulled the big fan leafs down so the lower shoots could get light...i would kinda lst the fan leafs with the new shoots if you can picture this in your head....i dont know...they just were bushes, and a pleasure to grow....everyday i would see 6-8 new leafs from day 10 on...
good luck and thanks for the complement Diplmat....ill have a new log posted in a day or two when my critically smashed seed crack....also ordered some ch9 green bud females so...so more male grow logs..

killa12345, I am sorry to read about your recent run of bad luck, but as beautiful a specimen as Thing 1 is, maybe you could use him to pollinate part of 1 of your new beans which results in a nice female? At least you have that option, what with 1 hanging out in your flower bed.
You certainly have the talent at growing. And, with all of the well wishes you are receiving from the grand members of this board, surely some good luck is headed in your direction! Hopefully all of your critically smashed will be females, your new beans and tent will arrive, and at the end of the day, you will have an amazing grow set up with a couple of moms spinning off clones and some sweet crossed beans - or whatever you version of utopia may be.
I wish you all the luck in the world, bro! May you have much success with Critically Smashed! Keep on rockin' in the free world!

Killa its looking nice ... pass some of the bud ;)
Anyways, the male i killed was not femmed...
I have a femmed one going and have alot on the way, you can see the picture in my log.
Im seriously considering making a mother of one of my WW seeds as it could be funny, im growing indoor CFL soil though, im not gonna go into hydro till i know what im doing then ill try it out, probably next grow i will...
what im also considering though is starting and trying on one of my free BB seeds for the fun any suggestions ?

jakezking.....honestly you made my day....thanks for all the kind words.....i really dont know how to grow mj, but im learning.....this last run showed me that im not a total nongreenthumb.......i found CFL's, Tapwater, and tons of nutes to be the answer to my failures.....I really took everyone words in the beginning like a bible, but now i realize i have to find my own way, which just happen to work this way....
I think my success should be half dedicated to Hempy, and his buckets....this is by far the simplist method of growing....a tad bit expensive because of the nute waste, but that the reason we have outdoor plants, right? I really urge people to try this method of growing passive hydro.....the medium is uber cheap, and the buckets.....no pumps, no ppm meters, just ph and away.

Newbie CFL Grow..Could use advice and criticism
killa12345, I'm glad I could lift you up a bit. As the song goes - we get by with a little help from our friends. And, we all need a bit of help from time to time - of that there is no doubt!
I sort of feel your pain, because if something wrong can happen, it normally happens to me. My luck has caused me to be a natural pessimist, but being a pessimist isn't all that bad, because when something good finally does happen it is a welcome surprise - all the bad helps all the good seem even better!
Also, I've learned in life that when you win, there really isn't much of a lesson to be learned from it - except that winning is good and fun! When you lose/fail, you remember why you lost/failed, so you try to keep it from happening again - the lessons of history. So, even though you believe you have failed (I think many members here would disagree with you on that point, as you have had a fine grow this past go 'round), I bet you have learned some invaluable lessons, which you will not soon forget. And, you have the Critically Smashed, new beans, and new tent still to look forward to! ROCK ON!
Finally, I am going to have to do some homework on the Hempy buckets. I have seen them mentioned here and there on this board, but have not really known what they were, sort of like reading a book and glossing over a word I don't know the definition of, instead of looking the word up. Well, I'm going to look up Hempy buckets, as your description has really piqued my interest! Thanks, my friend!

Hey killa are all of the plants in pictures on this thread grown fully by cfls?
Good looking plants, stick to that feeding schedule and they'll do so well.

Killa thank you for all of your and doobsters advice. I wish my plants looked like that. I know where most of my problem is it's the nutes. well once again ty and great job
