CHEERS :D - Its been a day almost 2 days since I took those pics, and the hairs are becoming very noticeable, as well as the smell :food10:
Yeah, the smell is ridiculously delicious. sweet yet dank, but I helped grow 3 monster grandaddy purps last year, so it's all good, I have had plenty of GDP over this last year. It was only strong for me a few times and my tolerance built up very quickly with that strain.Quote:

Hi Greenatic,
She is looking real nice and healthy.:thumbsup:
thanks a lot guys, appreciate the feedback :D
also zeb, how long do you guesstimate until those black pots will doom my plants over? this outdoor grow w/ drip costs more then planned and can't get them transplanted for another week. they looked heat stressed 3 days ago, and today they are looking a little better, but I don't want to come back to a cooked plant..
also, anyone have some ideas of where I could purchase some burlap bags locally? they are used for coffee beans etc, and dont really want to get them online, but I might have to.
any suggestions, ideas, please, the plants need you !
:jointsmile:
so here's a little update/eye candy :

wow so pissed off :mad: one of the lights in the pc case fell onto my plant and now its all messed up. bunch of tips and leaves burnt to hell
FUCK velcro, heavy-duty my ass !
damn man sorry to hear . Hope she will be OK, these plants are pretty remarkable what they can survive though :jointsmile:
thanks for encouragement, i exaggerated because i was frustrated, and she isn't doing all that bad. I cut off the dead tips and leaves, but there wasn't that many, and everything else is looking good. im an idiot for mounting it with velcro, didn't realize how much heat those sockets really put off, which melted the glue. hairs are coming along nicely though, and the lights are mounted official now so pilav will have a safe budding season
pics tommorrow yeah?
well here's some more pictures of pilav and her progress, also the damage that was caused by the falling CFL.
How long can I expect it to stretch before it starts putting on weight? It is definitely filling up the space nicely, I only have one more inch that pilav can continue growing horizontally, hopefully inducing a bunch of bud-sites.
Next run will most likely be with a different case, I have had my eye on this used server case (26+ '' tall!) and plan on doing quite a few seeds straight to 12/12. This case has been very hard to work with because of how sturdy it is. I have to install the DIY carbon filter within the week, pilav will start smelling strong soon.
anyways on to pictures :jointsmile:

oh and i found this pic of the Lavender X NL that I grew outside last year. it only yielded an ounce because it starting flowering straight from clone.
[attachment=o189163]
Hi Greenatic, pilav is still looking good man:thumbsup:, i dropped a light twice on one or two of mine and they are still looking good plenty bud, starting flush today. ;)
I want my own clown. I'd love to grow something that looks like that! Nice grow folk.:jointsmile:Quote:

I am really surprised that the CFL didn't do more damage, the plant, for the most part, never seemed stressed from it.

Greenatik...
You live and you learn....sorry about the velco thing.....i use the same thing for my sirius radio in the car, and the shit come down monthly......the plants look great.....im also LSTing the plants ive transfered outdoors.....and they are huge compared to my indoor ones of the same age.....but good luck....i know about the temps tooo......its constantly around 100F here already...my plants seem to thrive in this hot weather though...i just drowned them with water and come back in like a week...
See you soon
Killa12345
I am still lurking and they looking great, and say hello to pilav for me. :thumbsup:
Exactly man, livin and learning, this pc grow is just for learning to hopefully get a good enough grasp on growing indoor when I do it big.Quote:

Are you doing anything for water conservation? I just added mulch about a week ago and it really makes a difference, was $3 for a huge bag of it.
And yes, I do not know if it is the LST'ing or the hot weather, but mine seem to be thriving as well ! :thumbsup:
Haha, my brother was laughing because I call my plant by her name, but it's only proper :DQuote:

i really dont do anything for moisture....its been raining a lot lately so that helps....the heat isnt really an issue yet...i live somewhere where it gets hot......i keep my outdoor plants kinda under some short palms in the backyard..some of the rain is deflected by the frowns.....but im also losing some light(plants leaning a little toward the east....but i just keep lsting them opposite of the east...They are just under a month......just strated the ff 3 part on them...They are like 8 inch wide and like 4 inch tall being LST....Keep up the good work....Ill take some pics soon....

yes mini bud porn, gave pilav full dosage of bloom and liquid karma, and over night, mini buds!
15 days on 12/12
[attachment=o189336]
does anybody know approximately how many days stretching occurs during flower? i know it is strain specific, im just looking for a ballpark answer, I only have 6-7 inches of vertical room (from current tops), and it seems to be stretching quite a bit. i have a feeling it might not fit :( i will hope for the best and keep tying stuff down
thanks if anyone can answer this :smokin:
mine just stopped stretching at 2 and a half weeks. your plants are looking great.
thank you keeko, i have hope now :D
i was getting pretty close to the top of my cabinet also, thankfully they have stopped as i said. peace
Pilav is looking very lush she is a good looking chick.:thumbsup:Quote:

Is this female or? Need help first time flowering from seed I have only done clones so :confused:
[attachment=o189503]
enjoy, this might be the last update for them for a while, for security purposes of course:jointsmile:
but pilav is looking insanely good, will have to post some pics soon. tied it down and regained 3.5 more inches of headspace. running over max fert intake but no nute burn yet. I water the coco every other day about 1 gallon.
peace :jointsmile:
need help pruning, what leaves are ok to prune off during flower and veg, and how many? Do i need to only pull of a few on each plant at a time or can I do quite a few? The article I read about lst-ing along the ground says removing fan leaves is a normal process, because of how bushy it gets. any help is appreciated, I have to remove some leaves from pilav soon to expose all the bud sites, the pc case is quite full now :D
oh and a picture of one of the ones being lst'd completely horizontal, only doing a couple, they seem to have more insect problems :(
[attachment=o189504]
:stoned:
Nice log Greenatik, I train my potted sativas in a similar way. The difference is that I wind the stem around the outside of the pot rim to minimise contact between plant material and the soil.
I haven't had any problems with insects... but looking at your plant I'd suggest loosening her bonds a little so she can gain a few inches height above the soil, should improve air circulation and remove the leaf litter from the top of the pot. If you want to mulch for water retention use just about anything else eg) peat, coco coir, ground lucerne chaff, fine mushroom compost. Leaf litter provides a great habitat for snails, slugs and caterpillars, all of them like having tender green shoots on the doorstep.
yes, you are right, it would of been better to train them above the soil, but given my time restraints, and how often I am able to visit them, i only have a few minutes to stake some shoots down. I have let my training go on 3/4 of them and are only keeping a few horizontal.
but about the mulch, I am using bark nuggets, simply bark not full mulch (leaf clippings), do you think this will also create a habitat for insects?
overall though, the plants have balanced out with the natural predators and don't seem nearly affected by pests as they did when they were smaller. thank you for the advice, i will be keeping a close eye on the mulch and also try and raise up my training a bit off the soil.
peace friend :jointsmile:
here is pilav. 17 on 12/12. loving the hairs!

duplicate, sorry
my mistake, looked like leaf mould from here.
Can't comment on bark, never use it myself.
greenatik, it appears you are having a great time staying busy both indoors and outdoors. Both sets of plants are looking good. As for your question about whether the outdoor plant is male or female, I'm not certain - for some reason I want to say it is male because of those white puffy cotton ball looking protrusions; but, I am no expert by any means. Hopefully I am wrong.
Good luck on your continuing grows, and I look forward to following your log to smoke!
thanks for stopping by shovel :jointsmile: that is reassuring about the mulch :)Quote:

I just picked up some budswel today from the hydro store can anyone give me some advice on this? should i just keep going with the pure blend or do 1/2 and 1/2? its 0 - 7 - 0 bat guano earthworm castings, seabird guano
thanks in advance and peace :jointsmile:
Hey Greenatik.....beautiful man, pilav looks so nice and...."special" imo...
I think if you give the plant something new, it's always wise to give a little dose for the first time, you can never know how the plants gonna react....:hippy:
Greenatik it looks like you are doing something right she is looking good.:thumbsup:
