Ha ha! Definitely put at the top of the to-do list! Now that I look back at my post, I see I had posted that as direct reply to one of your posts. I didn't mean to single YOU out! Ha ha! My mistake. I think EVERYONE should take up this hobby! Idle hands are the devil's playthings, people, so keep those hands busy!Quote:

GaGrown: yeah I have decent power, and I can't even remember half the things in it and what I used. It sat for a long time during appartment times. I almost want to rip that motor out, and start over.
I like what I have but 10.5 compression doesn't leave me much room. I could maybe only safely thow 6lbs on it but wouldnt try it now. A blower would be nice, but all throttle no bottle for me!
Mr Clan: haha that's awesome, those buicks are heavy machines. I had a 92 cavalier and I beat a lot of ppl with that car when I don't think I should have. So I'll give your 3.8 the benefit of the doubt lol. It's too bad you had to sell n' stuff, I hope to never be in a position to need to do that, I would cry too.
But you know what, daihashi is right...we're getting old :( 10 years is a long time to look back on. but you really know you're gettin old when you're drivin a buick :D:jointsmile:
Ha ha! When I turned 30, my hippie van broke down, and I ended up getting a Buick Regal from someone I knew for next to nothing. And because I was broke at the time I really had to take it. I don't attach a lot of my identity or self-image to my car, but man, I felt old tunring 30 and driving around in that Regal, listening to AM radio, because that's all it had. The turn signal was almost silent too, and it wouldn't cancel after a left turn, so I would find myself going down the street with my blinker on miles after making a turn. It's like I was instantly aged by 40 extra years.Quote:

And, by all means, feel free to doubt the awesome power of the Buick... because that power certainly is not there! :D I have trouble sometimes passing the old biddies that get in front of me and drive 10mph under the speed limit. But, I will give it one thing, it's gotta be one of the most comfortable cars I've ever driven.
...it also has the exact same 2500w stereo system (all Alpine) that my old Stealth had, so it's got some level of coolness to it. The 'coolness' just isn't in the looks or horsepower anymore. It can still make ya go deaf, though... which I guess has its merits.
Take care.
Basketball, Football, Baseball--(Playing and watching)
Snowboarding
Frisbee
Music, Music, Music
A girl that is taking over my world.
Video games
Hanging out with friends
Occasionally reading
Fishing, camping, hiking, lifting.
And so on.
I get a lot of stuff done I normally would never think of doing. I usually stick to plans that better myself. I spit game like a mad man at the ladies. I eat lots of food. I get really stoned, I sleep, I wake up a few mins later and i'm all good. I smoke 4 - 5 grams daily. Usually NYC of other hazey buds. Lots of hash. Im pretty blazed everyone light up at 9:05pm EST!
i will have a new hobbie soon
riding my bike
its only a little 50cc but i got it cheap and never got round to buying a moped or bike once i turned 16 and i had always planned on doing so until then.
cars are fun but bikes are fungerous :D
Haha all in good fun, yes that was kinda sorta sent your way :jointsmile:Quote:

man was that car comfy...leather, moon roof..v8...sigh..sold it.
only audio in the 5.0 are some jbl powers and apline pdx amp, no need for more it has a stereo of it's own. Plus even with that i can't hear it much over the car anyway...
So to keep on track as well, yeah I USED to do car audio, that's all I ate, slept, pissed ones summer. but now as we get old uhh..it's all about sound quality right? lol uhh..

wow, it seems a lot of people here really ARE just the stereotypical lazy stoner, they don't even have any fuckin hobbies... sad
as for me, i build gas rc boats, ride motorcycles, work on cars, play guitar, longboard, build/ride stand up jet skis, boat, take lots of photos, and i'm sure there's more
im 19 and i own a big landscaping business that i got from my dad. so wen im not looking over all that. i play ALOT of sports. i usually go and play tennis everyday (since its easier to find one person to play tennis instead of like 15 to go play football or basketball). i watch ALOT of movies also. my buddy is an actor and i help him do some short films that he does. and i usually have a g/f to spend my money
Everything I normally do sober...I do high as well.
To me there is no difference nowadays. Except I do get really excited about doing most things high. It's just like normal, but funner!
I like to keep myself busy to prevent from going crazy sitting around too much...so my list broadly consists of:
Hiking, Backpacking, Running
Working, Sleeping, Eating
Rock Climbing, Snorkeling, Driving
Skateboarding or Snowboarding,
Going to the beach or the woods,
Hanging out with the homies,
Going to the movies, grocery shopping,
Reading books, swiging swords and katanas around,
And so much freaking more!
You can't limit yourself...you only have one life with so much to do!
My buddies are always asking me when I'm going to 'pimp' my car out with 20" rims, tinted windows, and all that jazz... but I think you're right, I must be getting old because I have no intentions of doing anything else to it. It's got a Gran Touring suspension package already (it's the Limited edition), and something called StabiliTrak electronic stability system, which makes it an EXTREMELY comfortable car to ride in. I'll eventually be buying a '67 Mustang Fastback, when I can really afford to pump some money into one, and I'll have a mean car in my garage again... but for the time being, I'm happy putting around in my little Buick. Spring time is here, so I'll soon be getting my adrenaline fixes from the Gixxer again! :thumbsup:Quote:

My biggest piece of advice for US129: Know the limitations of your vehicle, and ABIDE by them! There's no room for careless mistakes on that road. In a few places, if you happen to run off the road and there's no guardrail there, you're DEAD. Well, at least if you're riding a motorcycle, but I'd imagine you'll still be in a world of hurt if it were to happen in a Subaru. Many of the turns have real accommodating cambers, though, and it's generally a lot of fun. A few can be tricky, so just be sure whoever is driving doesn't get too cocky, because the off-camber S turns can really sneak up on you if you go into them too fast. But, it's generally the idiots who try to push their limits that get injured/killed... so if you drive reasonably and with self-restraint, it's a great road to be on and isn't as dangerous as some people make it sound. They've also been trying to cut down on the numbers of semi-trucks that are allowed to go through there, which definitely makes things safer.Quote:

But just Google "Deals Gap" and you'll find tons of sites that have listings for nice hotels around that part of NC. There are also some really good Southern style restaurants around there. If you get the chance, look up Lynne's Place, Sweetwater BBQ, and Sweet Magnolia Restaurant... I think they're all in Robbinsville, NC. GREAT places to eat, but they can be pretty busy on weekends, so beware! Also, I don't remember exactly where it is, but ask some of the locals around there where "the Overlook" is. There's a pull off where you stop and get an absolutely breathtaking view of mountainsides with a gorgeous river flowing through it. It's especially awe inspiring if you happen to catch it when the sun's going down... and/or when the leaves are changing color in the Fall.
Best of luck 'slaying the Dragon', I'm sure you're going to have a great time. Just be careful, and you and your boyfriend will love it! Take care.
-disc golf
-oil painting
-fixing up my house or taking care of it
-reading
-playing video games (sometimes)
-watching movies (rarely)
-cooking, food, restaurants
-neighborhood bar
-darts
-bowling (sometimes)
-throwing knives
-hit the heavy bag
-yoga (sometimes)

I do not have cable so I never watch TV. So, I am always doing something around the house if I don't have plans.
I don't smoke that much or that often, but it is my favorite thing to do :)
OMG that is f-ing amazing.Quote:

I'm not a very productive person nor do I have many hobbies besides gambling.
I'm 19 and a full time college student and in my spare time I :
*Play bass
*Watch t.v. (adult swim, history channel, fox news, red eye, TLC, Discovery channel, monster quest, simpsons, intervention, mythbusters, E!, Girls next door, South Park, Comedy Central and anything else that involves learning and/or humor.)
*Go online
*School work
*Hang out with friends
*Shop
*Get my hair done
*Get nails done
*Shooting practice
*Miniture golf
*Reading (Anything really, Stephan King, Anne Rice, Max Brooks, Playboy, Hustler, Cosmopolitan, anything that has to do with cryptozoology and weird stuff, and more)
*Concerts (Tool and Godsmack are the latest)
*Smoke pot (Every day, all day. 1/8th lasts me 4 days)
*And the final and most important thing I do that takes up my time 24/7, John. We live together and are ALWAYS together. We like it that way. :)
*And I'm high right now so this is all I can think of on top of my head.....
Apparently I'm unproductive, so I'm slowly quitting the habit, but I managed to keep up classical piano training, keyboard/synth composition and recording for my progressive metal band, Wii (Trauma Center and Super Smash Bros. Brawl), Guitar Hero II/III, tennis, lifting weights, cooking gourmet foods, eating said foods, and watching television.
I hike, write, cook, play some video games, go to concerts...exciting stuff like that
--edit--
flirt with hipster girls
watch south park online
i know alot of people that dont do anything besides school, work , and smoke. It's pretty pathetic, how fun could your life be if the highlight of it is getting high. i like herb just as much as the next stoner, but if the only good thing in your life is getting stoned you seriously need to step back and take a look at how boring your living your life. Getting high isn't even that great, like yeah it's fun, but not fun enough to let it be the bearer of all your happiness.
If you live life just to get high and work and go to school, then your gonna die without having lived at all.
im 18 and the main thing i do in life is skateboard, but i also like playing the guitar, scratching on my turntables, painting, drawing, writing poetry/songs, talking to people(whether i know them or not), video games can be alright if you have a bunch of friends playing them with you, making clothes, partying, mountain biking, watching movies, snowboarding etc etc.
yeah, i today for example, me and some friends smoked, we went to the local buffet restaurant and when we got back we played with their cats, and went to the park and BSed with her little sister and the cat some more. Cats are cool as shit whilst high.

People ask me all the time "what do you do besides smoke weed?" And I begin to wonder why they ask me. Is it because they're interested in getting to know me? Half the time it isn't. I barely give a response. Something like, "I play video games" or when they ask "do you work?" I'll say it's 'against my principles.' Usually that will change their minds about talking to me and if that doesn't do it then the indifference seen on my face will.
My point is in the idea that what you do does not define who you are. Frankly I'm amazed every day that there are so many people out and about! So many people with so very much to do. I get exhausted just watching!

QUOTE]
you make a good point about working. But when it comes to what you do, overall, not just one section of what you do, like work, is who you are. Some people say they are a dentist, if they like dentistry and do it to help people, it makes them a good person for doing so, but only because they do it different from other dentists. Like this, the caring dentist will be extra gentle, while more thourough, to get everything, and be gentle to the patient. while the non-caring dentist will just scrape at your teeth and probably make you bleed and not care, bad dentist. Some people go on walks, some people play with their children, or deliver food to nursing homes.
People are what they do, the only difference is how you do what you do, if youre a good dentist then you are respected for it, because that is what you are, kind. And this is not about money, because you are not your money, your money is just a representation of your contributions to society, and having more is not what makes you a better person either, its how the money is spent, even if it goes to you indulging in something you dont need, its what you do, and how you do it that decides whether or not your a good person, and if it helps you be who you are, then that is what it is for.
wow
I have two different lifestyles that seem polar opposites...the only thing they have in common is music and smoking.
in London (where I'm studying)- going out a lot (indie clubs, raves), gigs, rugby, and listening to a hell of a lot of music (i'm studying music management so i practically study genres and albums and shiz)...and apart from normal studying/internet that's literally it
in the states- satellite tv, food, gardening, playing my guitar and bass (couldn't be arsed bringing them to the uk), and a lot of swimming/sunbathing (was just home in Houston the past 2 weeks and I got a good amount of sun)
I know it goes hand it hand to a point, but i spend my summers on the road seeing whatever shows i can find... festivals and such... i also work and go to school so even as i smoke a few times a day, as long as i get something productive done first i feel pretty good about it. i encourage anyone on here who doesn't go see live music to do it as often as you can. on that note anyone on this post going to All Good this summer?
Lets see, I'm 23 and I enjoy:
- Smoking my wooden tobacco pipe.
- Yelling at kids to get off my lawn.
- Complaining about how youngsters have no damn respect these days.
- Cutting a switch and giving somebody a whoopin'.
- Catching the 3:15 auto-giro to the local shindig.
- Reminiscing about simpler days.
- Sacrificing out-of-towners to my God.
- Yelling at the odd cloud.
- Widdling; of course.
- Blaming mishaps on the Irish.
- And telling people that their beliefs are all wrong.
HAHAHA theres a Simpsons episode where they show Grandpa Simpson's face from a newspaper clipping that he's trying to pass as a picture for his driver license, and the newspaper headline is "Old Man Yells At Cloud", and the picture is him yelling and shaking his fist at this cloud.Quote:
