I got a little (or a lot) of a surprise when I bought my usual 1/8th yesterday...

My old dealer from Trinidad, in America on a Visa, gave me ounces for months when I was paying him for half ounces. He said to me, one day, "You know, I've been giving you ounces, right?"

Well, I figured, but, he's the one who borrowed my scale and never returned it. As well as a book, too.

He went to jail, with four others (including one of his babies' mothers), implicated in a fake driver's license scam.

damn girl! $25 for an eighth of sour diesel is a damn damn good deal by itself!

I called him up yesterday and told him about the situation. He said he thought he misplaced it somewhere. But he thanked me for being honest and he told me I only have to pay him for half of it.


Still better than nothing I suppose. :)

Did he put the ziplock in a bookbag or something. I dont' think I could ever mistake an eighth as an ounce. I'm pretty sure after he handed me the bag I would be like this feels like a lot more than an eighth.

im not wondering if she would notice the 8th to O weight difference but how about the dealer. u would think him of all ppl would be able to figure out what a 8th should weigh compare to an O. but i guess in the act of getting the baggie and giving it to her he couldnt figure it out lol

Lol Couldn't figure it out. No I didn't mean weight necessarily, but size too. The bulge in the bag would be a lot bigger not to mention if it was a clear ziplock baggy seeing would also be an indication.

i dont get this, a hq and a o have HUGE size difference. imo its impossible to buy a hq, grab an ounce baggie and NOT notice... thats a sack thats exactly 8 times bigger...

Okay, so I think we owe Rebgirl a little bit of credibility here. She's been a regular on this board for a while, so I don't think she'd go on willy-nilly making up stories.

That being said, mistakes do happen, even on large scales. Maybe her dealer was on something lol.

She did say in a couple posts up that she called her dealer and sorted the situation out.

Getting an ounce for half is a fuckin deal!:stoned:

For pricing weed, there are many factors involved such as cost of living, risks, etc. In NYC, it's not uncommon to pay $65 - $75 for 1/8 oz. of good stuff. I've heard of delivery services charging 95 an eighth. People generally earn higher salaries and are used to paying a premium for quality, service and convenience.

In less urban areas, where the wages are lower and the cost of living is less, weed is usually cheaper as well. I'm not willing to move just to save a few bucks on the small amounts of pot that I purchase. It's not even worth it for me to grow it, because I don't need as much as I used to. I'm more than satisfied with one to two ounces of good stuff a year.

IDK if rebgirl is telling the truth but i would think she is making up a stupid ass lie. How would a dealer mistake and eighth from an ounce from when hes handing it to you. No one is stupid enough to think an eighth is an ounce.

Dealers HAVE been known to put the clear ziplock bags containing weed in brown paper bags, before handing it over to their customers in public places. I've gotten the wrong amounts this way (usually less), and had to straighten it out with them later.

If you had more experience you'd have known this.

Yea, thats what I was thinkin. I just know if I was handed a ziplock baggy that was supposed to have an eighth in it and it had an ounce I would definitely notice the difference. I'm not saying shes lying. I'm Just saying it would be hard for me not to notice. Oh yea if it is true, which I'm not gonna judge cause I don't know the whole situation, nice job. thats pretty weird considering you would have instantly noticed if someone put a whole O in your hand instead of an eight, I mean it is eight times bigger than normal. And what sort of dealer would straight up give you seven eighths of chronic for nothing.

woah what do you mean more experience? I didnt know you knew me? Dumb ass. I know dealers put bags in brown paper bags but im not a dumb ass like you and can feel the difference between an ounce and an eighth in a brown paper bag.

Since this is turning into a bit of a minor pissfest, I think perhaps it has outlived its usefulness.
