Yes, I have some of Kubrick's films, going back to the 1950's. I don't know why nobody mentions 2001: A Space Odyssey - maybe because it's not that good on a TV screen. Sin City ~ Extremely violent, but trippy. Marv is one of the most badass characters ever.
Last Samurai ~ Great Eastern philosophy and a great story of a man finding redemption and peace. Not a Tom Cruise fan, but this movie is easily his best.
Dances with Wolves ~ Similar to the Last Samurai in that a man with nothing to live for finds value for his life in a different culture.
