lookin' at the calendar, I see April 20 is on a Sunday this year, perfect ! ... I'm still interested in that Ave. of the Giants idea, or that area, anyway
April 20 can work for me!!!!
took a new pic tonight....
not cannabis.. but hey.. its gettn to be ridin & beer weather so I stocked up!
20 12 pax and the h0g, I always get a kick out of goin to the local store and grabbin 2 carts.. fillin them up with beer and (1) bag of sunflower seeds.. so I dont look like a Jr. Alcoholic.. as ya gotta eat when u drink!
Pabst Blue Ribbon ... wow ... I grew up less than two blocks from their Peoria Heights brewery, laid there in bed at night, listening to the barrels rolling down the conveyors :) ... my first trucking job was inter-brewery runs between Peoria Heights, and the Milwaukee brewery ... in the late 60's, Pabst overtook Miller's beer, and for a couple years, was the #2-selling beer in America ! ... until they closed down the Heights brewery in the mid-70's, and sold the rest of the company out, it was absolutely delicious brew ... the water and recipes were changed over the years, so it ain't what it used to be, but glad to hear it's still good
gotta luv PBR!
pbr rules!! when i was a youngster we used get keggers from the miller brewery free!! kegs price in those day's 16$$$
12paks for 2$ oldstyle ahhhh growin up in beer country:thumbsup:
209 STOCKTON ALL DAY
an April 20 meetup/smokeout sounds cool ... maybe Willow Creek, near the center of Humboldt County ?? ... we could invite Bigfoot to join us

But that would be a richteous spot!! ZERO cops, lots of nature and the mighty river is nearby.
Not much too worry about except the ice melting and beer getting warm.
This is the furry pymp!
Mak Daddy of the North West!
I went to HSU and used to love to go to Willow Creek --- get out of the Arcata fog and into the sunshine and heat! Swimming in the river, laying on the beach, smoking the green. and drinking the beer! My brother still lives in Arcata, so now he knows a lot of "secret" river places to go, which is even better. Does it really warm up by 4/20? It always seemed like we went later in the summer.Quote:

You kind of have to conserve your strength because the best bands are at night, and you need some energy left. We'd get there as soon as they'd let us in on Friday and not leave till Monday --- most concentrated weekend of partying ever. After you've experienced it, you couldn't really even believe such a thing was even possible in the US. They still do it, don't they?
I just picked Willow Creek off the top of my head, but it's good for me, only about 3-4 hours away, if I remember right ... and, since so many strangers show up in town to 'investigate' the hairy guy, doubtful we'd even be noticed ... right in 'downtown' Willow Creek :D , they have a carved wooden Bigfoot statue on the north side of Rt. 299, , and I think there's a restaurant right close, for meeting, etc. ... I'm up for it, if anyone else is, I enjoy the drive ... my Civic gets 40 mpg, so it's do-able for me ...
I always wanted to get one of these huge "chanisaw art" redwood bigfoots --- stick it in my yard.Quote:
