First Timer CFL bagseed grow...check out set up, love some advice?

I've got milky white whisps on the 3 other plants. No hermy like lumps, but I'll post pics tomorrow. THREE FEMALES BABY!!! I'm almost pissed (ALMOST).

I don't have enough lights to flower 3 plants....need more CFLs and my buddy (who's a MAD grower) said that I shouldn't bother w/o something in the "Orange Spectrum"....WHA?!!

Update Farmers!

My lovely ladies are at 3 months old and 3 weeks into flowering. I've also taken clones of ALL (tossed that one male's) and most have taken root in rockwool.

I KNOW...I NEED MORE LIGHT!!!! AHHHH! Damn Writer's Strike. Ah well.

Been a while. Whelp, my ladies are on week 5 of flowering. I've added more lights, but it's all still a work in progress.;)

I've got 6 healthy clones that are now 5 weeks old. They need to be put in bigger pots, but i don't have room until I harvest.

Which leads me to that....when is IDEAL to harvest?:(

Flowering is finished in 6 - 12 weeks depending on strain ! But u will see when to harvest , most of the pistils will turn dark brown, some of the leafs will turn yellow and fall off because the plant don't need them any more .

But don't harvest to early .... u will lose on weight and potency !

So, BIG UPDATE. I've harvested ONE of my ladies. I was 8 weeks into flowering. I could've waited longer, but I've got 5 clones that NEED the space.

The second of the remaining three (one of which very mysteriously dried up and died)....I'm not sure. It looks like most of her pistils are brown...but her bud growth is NOT dense like the other one.

Is it possible that this is simply as good as I'm gonna get under these lights?

About the one harvested....my previous experience was that harvested plants are MUCH more wet than this one is....it's mostly just moist. Am I wrong?

Also, how long do you think it should hang before I start canning? Think I should quick dry some?

Okay, so I harvested both of em.

Yeah, it was do or die. I've got 5 clones that NEEDed the space. Pics of those to follow later.

i'm sorry to say, and i dont mean to be rude, but
NEVER
ever ever ever ever use miracle grow. if your going to spend extra money on organic soil then using the most chemicle ridden plant food (at least i think) is a bit counterproductive. i dont think it will neccisarly hurt your plants but the chemicles contained inside miracle grow will get inside your girls (duh) and have to potential to become carcinogenic (cancer) and make the smoke more harsh to the throat.
you have a good idea buying plant food specifically for tomatoes, but it should really be organic.
as for your "burning" ive been banging my head against the wall trying to figure out what that could be but as of yet i havent come up with anything.
wait..perhaps humidity of the growroom?? i dont know.
keep it going man im still a bit of a noob (im on round two) and it looks like you could produce some pretty smokeable herb.

I've never seen anything with any evidence that miracle grow or any other chemical fertilizer leaves anything in your plants.

Organic fertilizer is chemicals as well, it's just derived differently.

The only real difference between organic and non organic is that organic gardening feeds the soil, which in turn feeds the plants as it breaks down into the chemicals the plant needs. It can take time for those nutrients to become available though.

Inorganic simply supplies those nutrients directly in water soluble form, meaning the plant can use it immediately, can burn easier because it is immediately available and leaves the medium as deficient as it was before, and builds up salts faster as they are more salt based.

So basically MG is just bad for the soil for long term growing, adding salts over time and not helping the soils biology but if folks are using new soil every grow, I don't see an issue.

As for leaving any "bad chemicals" in your plant, until I see a study that says so, I just don't buy it.

I'm not ragging on organic or anything, I just like truth and I have seen no evidence an inorganic fert leaves anything in a plant that an organic one doesn't.

I'm open to be shown otherwise though, got any links or studies that show that it leaves anything in a plant? I've never been able to find one and I have looked.

i found organic mg when i was at walmart to i went for that. we'll see how it goes.

If you look at the beggining of this tread how big his plants were at 1 month. Im flowering my clones right now and they are 1 month old ... way taller bushier everything. And we are using about the same amount of watts. Iono clones grow faster?
