Bowl Burning Manners!

i agree! don't get me wrong, listening to a story stoned is great.. Buuut when they're telling the story, and i see the herb burning (whether it be in a bowl, blunt, joint etc..), my attention immediately directs itself to the herb! Corner burning is a plus when theres a group.. but when i see more than one person burning it all at once, i take the opportunity to do the same! :jointsmile:

I will say this. PASS the damn thing before starting in on a story no one cares about. If you do that, I'll stop burning all the green on my first turn.

I can't stand when I get high with some friends and they try to tell me I'm saying stupid shit cuz I'm high. I'm like...bitch, it makes perfect sense..you're just too fucking stupid and stoned to understand it.

Or when I mention the word "cops", and everybody starts acting all bitchy because I'm "killing their high".

it does well making the group laugh, even the offender has to laugh even though he knows he's being criticized. Makes for a playful correction.

When I'm smoking with others and we are using a bowl or bong, I always light a small section on the side of course, but I also tamp the edge of my lighter over the bit I burned to damp out the cherry as soon as I'm done taking my hit. I figure its only polite to keep the bowl as fresh as possible for the next in line. When I have a party I try to have at least one bowl packed or one joint rolled for every two people if we're toking. I like to see my guests really enjoy themselves and get a fair share of the herb I'm providing.

LOL My friends say I have bogarting radar because I can be across the room and know that someone in another mini session is talking and holding the weed hostage instead of passing. I always let them know about it too, but try to make it sound light and jocular instead of an accusation.

I think it comes from my grandmother telling me once that it is always important to be a gracious hostess no matter what the situation, and I've carried that over into toking. I derive pleasure from making other people happy and creating an environment where they can completely relax and enjoy themselves.

Gorillaman's got a pretty decent set of rules goin' on, kinda motivates me to create a complete set of guidelines, perhaps a Reefer Constitution. And while we are on the subject of bowl etiquette, passing direction, Left is Law or Right is Might? The rotation of the bowl is just as crucial to how it's smoked, especially in a larger group, or when smoking a bong.

I never thought of that,usually When I would burn with my freinds back in the day,you just clear your bowl and pass it back for a refill.
